@@Stryker-K Even if it was their first time seeing or playing the game, 15 seconds is enough to write off a game entirely? I've played games where I've dreaded the first few hours, and now sit at 500-2000 hours clocked in. There is absolutely zero window for reasoning within 15 seconds. It's not even enough of a reason to say "b-b-b-b-but I don't like isometric camera angles, b-b-b-but I don't like stylized graphics". Most games are an acquired taste, if you only ever play FPS games, you might think you only like FPS games, but branching out and trying new things will give you broader view on games altogether, and you'll find things you never expected to enjoy.

@@HardcoreCasualGW2 its a choice that makes the characters look better from a top down view. its akin to league of legends that when you actually go up-close you can see the distorted lanky proportions that are only there to make the game look better from a top-down perspective.
@@HardcoreCasualGW2I think it’s just an artistic choice. Perhaps to make it look more like old depictions of mid evil people and characters from drawings and paintings from those times especially in books and such. But that’s just a guess.
Or they could have been inspired by Tim Burton in some way.
Or they were scared that people would call them out for taking the art style from Arcane the tv series. Though they aren’t all THAT similar.
All just guesses though lol. Im actually curious to hear what the person who created or made the choice for the art style in this game would say about why they chose unnatural features and proportions for the characters.
I like listening to Asmon when he's talking about different topics, but his story-game playthrougs are unberable, he's constantly under pressure for NO REASON, no one's RUNNING AWAY, just calm down, read, enjoy the story, share your thoughts, ffs... ASMON...
@@Lithenius Haven't seen any of them, this is generic twitch chatter behaviour, it's far more reasonable to simply not watch the streamer play a game if you do not like the way he plays it, more than instructing him on how you would prefer him do it, grow up.

Since I'm one of the first posters, I'd just like to say I have this tree outside that I was about to chop down to make way for a koi pond... but then it started spouting bananas. Turns out it's banana tree! Anyway, I'm probably gonna keep it now. Just sharing that with you guys. I had no idea this whole time it was a banana tree.

@@aimanizzwan a banana tree is actually just a limb from a rhizome under the ground. A limb from a banana only fruits once then should be chopped and mulched. The rhizome can be dug up and moved fairly easily.

the voice acting in this game is so good the art reminds me of arcane show on netlfix
The art style, sound design, dynamic camera is absolutely insane as a viewer. Great job to all the people who worked on this
For anyone aspiring to play two handed, use charge attacks. The damage bonus is so insane its criminal.
Ahh and if you find leveling up to be an issue, game has a rested bonus from the inn (gotta build it though). It's designed around taking breaks from the game.
What else... non legendary weapons pretty much all have one weapon skill, but you can extract skills to fill those slots, making trash weapons have a use other than gold.
Utilize infusions, don't be quick to enchant gear, upgrade (obviously), and the general vendor in town is in my opinion the most important vendor to upgrade first, as well as the enchanting vender (who will sell more skill runes). The general vendor will have rings for sale, rings that will give you more stamina regen, reduced stamina drain on attacks, atk spd, movement spd, generic damage increases, etc... in my experience, far more reliably than random drops.
So i got the 2h Legendary sword from the first boss. It wrecks shit. If the charge attacks dont kill then the plague dots will. I love this game

@@chronodis yellow paint is having a guiding object that is painted in yellow, idk never had a problem with as it is a clean way of doing follow paths

This looks just as good as I hoped. The sound design is a nice surprise. I was only expecting a more stylized Diablo with Souls mechanics, but this is even reminiscent of Blood Omen in some ways. I'm actually excited for once.

This game reminds me of an old ps2 game called gladiator sword of vengeance or something like that, least the way the combat is and camera
I recently started this game, literal 1st item HUGE 2 handed sword....immediately thought of asmon
So I know everyone talks crap about “yellow paint” in games but this 9:39 is a good example of why it is useful. Though in some games figuring it out is part of the game and the fun. And some game over use it by marking paths that clearly you are meant to go on.
But in cases like this some intelligent level design would have lead the player to know I need to go on the ledge to get across the hole. Perhaps some dripping water or something to drawl the players eyes or make it thick enough to where they player would eventually figure out I’m supposed to go here.
Or they could have just thrown a yellow highlight on the edge and call it a day. There is a reason it’s an old classic…because it works.
The art style really makes me think of the 3d paint cellshaded style of ARCANE, always wanted an rpg in this kind of artstyle ! Im fully hyped for this n hope the game won't take any bad turn before the release !!

I think Azmon is doing awesome for the game's promotion, as in like those mobile ads, where the guy playing is so dumb, makes you want to download/buy and do it yourself.

They managed to make even fully sun lit surfaces dark somehow. If someone makes a mod that removes this artificial darkness from the game, I might play it.

Both those games are horrendously optimised (DD2 especially) which you're only able to make work if you brute force it, so imo that's not really a good metric to use.
If you're saying that cause you wanna play them, I'd just wait a bit for patches - Wicked can run okay on most systems though, DD2 is a struggle no matter what.
This game is not optimised at all rn. It's probably gonna be more higher end pc's for now. Untill they optimise it a little more
Bought this yesterday, after a bit of playing I like it a lot. No surprises there as I’m a old Diablo (I actually have my big box original Diablo) vet since the original and a huge fan of the souls games. :)

Is it worth to wait for full release of this game (needs more time in the oven) or is it good now? Like is the story done, not just act 1 or 2? Steam phage is mixed and some say the combat is bad, but what i see in this video combat looks good.
The game has major optimization issues. Constant crashing. Can barely do fights. Well above recommended req on specs
its only the first of (i think) 5 story chapters that is released. SO If it is story you are after wait till full release. As for performance, they have already released 2 hotfixes patches and the last one mentioned performance. So it seems they are one job of fixing this stuff sooner rather then later. And the combat is extremely good. But for some people its simply not for them. I would ignore people saying its just bad(with no explanation given). Its just not for them is all.
And also remember steam has 2 hour refund window. if you usure just try it out. You will have experienced a lot of combat before 2 hours has gone by. More then enough time to find out if it is for you or you'd rather wait till release.
I gotta say for an early access game they did a pretty good job, I deal with punishment after death but not the inventory management or durability of utility, how gw2 did it would in this game specifically. Voice Acting is top notch and the Art Direction is magnificent. Performance isn't the best and they need to m/k playable. Everything about the gameplay is great food I can already tell that the full release of the game is going to be insane. Could it be like Hades? I mean it has a chance to be.

No weapons equipt is way stronger then daggers and the wooden sword in the early game till you invest the skill points

Started playing this game and im in love
This game looks fantastic!!! The combat looks good, not like a Diablo clone where you smash through hordes like butter but more Souls like and deliberate with emphasis on single targets. The characters look interesting and the story looks intriguing. The voice acting is fantastic.
It feels quite unique, first ARPG I feel is nicer to play with controller than kb/m. I Look forward to supporting the devs during EA!
Well back in my day most isometric ARPGs weren't like diablo. Champions of Norath, Balders Gate Dark Alliance and part 2 you did not "whirlwind" through a horde of demon lords, it was more slower paced as well and enemies were actually dangerous. I was always turned off by Diablo and Diablo clones because there was no steaks it felt cheesy and unrealistic and enemies didn't feel like dangerous enemies, like a farmer could level up and kill hordes of demon lords apparently.

The art direction of this game reminds me of that old cartoon on RUclips “The Backwater Gospel” really like the art style.

For thoses complaining about the way he plays video games (Skipping text, loot, don't heal, speedruning...) i kinda enjoy it, because i'm that kind of person, the opposite of Asmon, if i watch an Asmon playthrough and think that the game is fun, it'll be way more fun for me cuz i'll do all these thing that he didn't do, it's like i'm getting a gameplay review without spoiling

The gameplay looks good !!! But i really hate that skipped leg day look/design and in general wierd proportional incorrect design,looks like Disneys Hercules forms if anyone gets the reference...
Maybe the oversized arms are a Donkey Kong reffernce if thats the case i can live with that wierd design.... maybe theres another reason tho...if there is a reason other than the designers choice/personal touch...
Im not too deep into lore but i think they call (the player's "kind") Cerim.
Dont know if thats just a race or an entirely different species that might contribute to the weird proportion. I mean other NPC dont have the weird proportion (just look at 2:00:13 cut scene)
Maybe thats also why most people in the world can recognise our "kind" easily before we even introduce ourself. Like a passerby saying "a cerim in sacrament. What a joke". Or random npc first interaction saying "oh you're Cerim"

I love the look of this game and it has so much potential. but they need to work on the combat for this game. They need to lower stamina drain or reduce the attack spam of the enemies. Once you go back after the first boss, you can't even kill anything with using all of your food because all of the enemies are in groups of 2-3 that spam 20 attacks in 5 seconds and spam bombs. Not to mention you basically get 2-shot. I have put all but 2 of my points into health (the other 2 into stamina) and I still get 2-shot. Doesn't make any fucking sense.
Was excited to watch but I just can't, it's too painful
