This traffic light has also caused accidents rather than promoting safety. Cars drive much faster down the hill to make the light. A car drove up on the sidewalk and hit a telephone pole after the light was installed. This traffic light is not helping and is impacting the neighborhood in a negative way. Sounds like no planning went into its installment. Waste of money.
Last thing you do before getting inside your home is park. And you can’t consistently park each day. Wouldn’t have patience to do so..We’re underground and land consistently in the same space daily…
8-10 less parking spots isnt much worse. Maybe she can go a block south or north and find a spot there. Sounds more like an inconvenience than a worsening.
if you want a guarenteed parking spot maybe don't live somewhere that doesn't have a driveway. An on street permit does not entitle you to a spot right outside your house since its public domain and anyone can park there.
@@TentaclePentacle No they don't, not in a city like Toronto. You can get around faster by transit or biking, both of which are being increasingly invested in.
@@BrettWB Yes, you have cyclists who don't follow the rules and a transit commission that triples the transit time. When I go into the office via transit, I spend more time on the buses and subway than I do at the office for a full day. The productivity loss is enormous.

How brave of you to parade your ignorance online. It must take a special kind of insecurity to resort to childish insults when you have nothing intelligent to say. I suggest you take up a new hobby.
Toronto (GTA) is in the top 10 of the most populated metropolitan areas in North America. If you want to use your car for transportation, then you'll have to move away from the big city, at about 1 hour's distance. Use public transit. Tough luck.
That's what happens when your city councillor doesn't follow the process. The tickets should be dealt with by the councillor.

You don't need a car if you live in that neighborhood. Extremely walkable. Doing like it? Sell your $2-3mil house and move to the burbs.
What kind of house has no driveway? Or garage. You got a shack

it's 8 - 10 spaces per traffic light and there are more than 4 new traffic lights installed. You do the math.
There are no spaces a block south or north. Have you ever seen parking in the Beaches?
There are restrictions on the parking permits, so residents above Queen are not actually able to park south.

No one is demanding a spot in front of their house, just on the street where they live.

Deport the cars lol 🤣

Yes, let's have more cars. They've only helped this city become *checks notes* louder and more congested.
