    It's all Geoff, singing with himself.

    That quartet of gentlemen is just one, with good makeup and clever filming. Geoff has a remarkable vocal range (5 octaves), and is just as skilled as an arranger- if you glance at the credits for the video, you'll see Geoff is responsible for pretty much everything except the beards and the final mix. While covers are his thing, Geoff tends to reinvent music rather than simply cover it. His Christmas drop of Carol of the Bells deserves to be in an epic film; it is the Die Hard of Christmas Carols in Geoff's hands.

    Welcome to the one and only Geoff Castellucci. You aren't the first, and most likely won't be the last to think it's more than one person singing. Geoff has an amazing 5 octave range. He is the bass for the a capella group Voiceplay.He started doing solo work during COVID 19 when Voiceplay had to stop touring. Both are independent which gives them the freedom to cover a wide variety of musical styles. I hope you'll react to more of their work.

      Not to mention, because they're independant, no copyright issues!🤎

    ROFL. Geoff has dropped as low as a B0. We do call him the Dragon for a reason. 😂 The man will take out the floor from under your feet and crack the ground open to the depths, then soar way up into the stratosphere. He makes bass singers feel like tenors and flies wary higher than my alto voice can ever hope to reach. 🤣
    Every vocal line in Geoff's solo work is sung by him and then multi tracked and layered. It's all him. He has a dang 5 octave range. He's a beast of a vocalist and it's amazing. We love him for it. He continues to get better all the time, too. He's the bass vocalist and one of the founding members with the acapella group, Voiceplay.
    Enjoy your trip down the Voiceplay rabbit hole. It's a wild ride. ;)

    There is nothing better than four Geoffs except when he does five. Geoff has done three covers from the Hobbit movies as the dwarfs. Far Over The Misty Mountains Cold, I See Fire and newest The Song of Durin. Geoff is the bass and a founding member of the acapella group VoicePlay #TheatreKidsOfAcapella. Geoff and VoicePlay are the best rabbit holes that you can travel down.

    This is from the Hobbit/Lord of the Rings film and also, this is actually one guy singing 4 parts. Geoff (pronounced Jeff) does this in most of his videos and is the bass singer in an A Capella group called Voiceplay. He has a 5 Octave vocal range... maybe 6. Voiceplay is a great group. Anyways, Take Care & God Bless.

    Several folks have now clued you in that Geoff is singing ALL the parts, but no one has yet mentioned that he is doing all the instrumentals, too. He plays piano and uses plug-ins on his keyboard to get those strings you hear on this one. He also arranges his own music and he (and his wife) film the simpler videos like this, where he is more or less in one spot, themselves. Then he does the initial audio mix (before sending it out for the final mix) and all the video editing as well.
    I will echo others' suggestion for his "Carol of the Bells". It is not the usual tenor handbell sound. It is the carol as done if you are standing in the cathedral belfry. Huge, massive, iron cathedral bell sound.

    Geoff arranged, produced, starred and edited this video with the help of his wife Kathy. He is one of the most talented singers I've ever seen and he has an enormous range. On the screen you see Geoff acting with himself. The talent is off the charts!😊

    Just A Little FYI, I'm sure other people have told you. But ALL OF THOSE GUYS ARE GEOFF, YES SIR HE ACTUALLY HONESTLY SINGS EVERYTHING HIMSELF. THE LOWS, THE MIDS AND THE HIGHS, GEOFF HAS A 5 OR 6 OCTAVE RANGE AND HE'S ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. IF YOU WANT TO HEAR HIS RANGE YOU'VE GOTTA REACT TO HIS VIDEO " I SEE FIRE " HE'S ALSO WITH THE GROUP VOICE PLAY YA GOTTA CHECK THEM OUT TOO. BUT ALL PLAYING & BULLSHITTING ASIDE ALL THESE GUYS IN THE VIDEO IS GEOFF.

  • @reneleroux7669
    @reneleroux7669 13 дней назад +5

    Yep, just geoff cloning himself so he can show who's singing the 4-5 octave range he has. Plus, he does everything himself. Check the credits below his post to see exactly what he does. And, he and the a capella group he sings with (Voice Play) are independent. This allows them to choose whatever song they want. And, they perform almost every genre out there today and before.

    Geoff, Avi Kaplan and Tim Foust all basses from Acapella groups are friends. Avi Kaplan has a song after he left Pentatonix called Change On The Rise 🔥 and I would suggest Tim Foust video of his five octave range from highest to lowest. Check Tim’s with his Home Free group - Do You Hear What I Hear Christmas video. Enjoy!

    It's always fun to watch reactors' first time hearing Geoff. Thanks so much for doing this one. If you really want to hear his lowest notes, he recently dropped a cover of Carol of the Bells for Christmas. That will blow your mind!
    His Acapella group, VoicepPlay, is the best one out there. Their cover of Metallica's Nothing Else Matters is the best Acapella song ever recorded, IMHO. I hope you check them out!

    I highly recommend Geoff's cover of The Beatles "Blackbird", and, with the holidays upon us, any of his Christmas songs in particular "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" and his most recent "Carol of the Bells" cover. Geoff also has at least one tutorial vid on "How to sing low".
    And make sure to check out VoicePlay. You won't regret it.

    I just kept watching you to see when and if you figured it out. It is Only Geoff! Actually, he has up to 5 in his private clone farm. My suggestion is to catch his cover of Ain't No Sunshine, the Bill Withers song. Also, as he is the Bass for the A cappella group, VoicePlay, go listen to them as well. I suggest Creep as you may be familiar with it.

Also, he just dropped a version of "Carol of the Bells" for Christmas and it is freaking epic! Hope you get a chance to check it out! I enjoyed your reaction to this one! ❤

    Just because I haven't seen anyone else mention it yet, those extremely low rumble notes Geoff does are subharmonics. VoicePlay and HomeFree are extremely popular acapella groups.
    For something a little different, I think you would like Dan Vasc's version of Amazing Grace. He has a phenomenal voice, does anything from opera to metal, including metal covers of pop and Disney.

    • @hwyla4416
      @hwyla4416 12 дней назад +1

      I’ll echo this - a truly powerful and beautiful voice. I think he (like Geoff) also does his own arrangements. I know he plays the instruments for himself (unknown to me exactly which ones. I know Geoff uses plug-ins with his midi keyboard) but as I understand it, Dan also does his own audio mixing.

  • @vdoyne
    @vdoyne 12 дней назад +4

    Ah...you've found my favorite singer (who sings bass with my favorite group, VoicePlay). It's all Geoff in costume. A five octave range is a powerful thing (three octaves in full chest voice). You need now to react to his two sequels to this one..."I See Fire" and "Song of Durin" with the same dwarves (adding one more to Durin). In those, Geoff ("Jeff") gives his clones solos in his various ranges. Geoff edits his own videos, etc. - check out the video description to see how much Geoff (and VoicePlay) do one their own as they are 100% indie.
    If you want to hear Geoff really LOW, check out VoicePlay's "Valhalla Calling" (their sequel to "My Mother Told Me"). Layne arranged that one and he makes Geoff do things that Geoff doesn't do to himself. At three points in "Valhalla Calling" Geoff sustains B0s. His newest solo release, "Carol of the Bells" is great...Geoff goes down to D1 subs in that one.

I'm sort of new the whole RUclips reactor thing, how do I ask for reactions to songs? Or do I do that? I have some new people I discovered this year that I'm enjoying and love seeing other reactions to them. My list of artists I;ve recently discovered is Dan Vasc, Tommy Johansson, and Erik Gronwall, who are all metal/rock musicians. Geoff Castelucchi is amazing too but i knew him from way back when. My two year old grandson fell in love with Tim initially from the Man of Constant Sorrow cover from Home Free, an a cappella group. He loves Geoff too. Another great one to check out is Ghost Riders in the Sky.

    You really can't go wrong with reactions to Geoff and the a capella band he's in, Voiceplay. Also, check out Home Free and their low bass singer, Tim Foust. Both basses have incredible ranges. Both groups have phenomenal performances as well as being funny as hell. I look forward to watching you enjoy this rabbit hole.
    When you're ready to change up to something completely different, I'd recommend Nanowar of Steel (turn the subtitles on for the videos; they're multilingual). You can kind of think of them as the Weird Al of metal - nothing is sacred, they're hilarious, and they're GOOD. ... But I expect that might be a while before you get to them, since you have so much great content here already to react to first. ;-)

    Geoff is amazing & off the charts with his talent. He sings in a 5 octave range, produces, arranges, films, edits, etc. his own stuff and takes turns with the other members of his a cappella group 'Voice Play'. And they are off the charts talented. They all do silly & serious with equal skill & talent. This is a rabbit hole you don't want to miss. Here are a few of my favorite covers they have dropped. As people have said this is Geoff's original work he is the bass not baritone bass of one of the other acapella groups voice play. Check out Valhalla calling where he hits he hits a subharmonic note. I think people people say he hits an
    E1 subharmonic. Please add Pentatonix and Home Free into your lineup if you don't already have them. The bass ' for Home Free is Tim Foust and at the time Pentatonix had Avi Kaplan. They are both basso profundo which is lower than a bass. There's video of each of them blowing speakers. Abby didn't so often that Pentatonix started to bring their own speakers. The fourth acapella group is the bass gang it is 4 men and they are very good also. Start with if I had a heart. I can go on forever suffice to say please add more acapell. Our who collaborates with BP says that voice play is his favorite of all the acapella groups really enjoys voiceplay. He 7:15 7:15

    Geoff goes lower. And he has named his clones... the three main clones (plus Geoff) first appear with names in his cover of Elvis' Way Down (which is also hilarious) Watch for their name tags. His forth clone, Darrell, made his first named appearance in Ghost Riders in the Sky.
    He's full indi, no manager, label or producer, and he likes reactors. You don't need to veil your screen.

    If you enjoyed this, then check out his cover of Oogie Bogie from Nightmare Before Christmas. Pure awesomeness!

    Pretty low, but there are videos of Tim Foust of the acapella group "Home Free" literally breaking the speakers with a low note...

    There's no "THEY". That's Geoff Castellucci x4. He has his own channel and is also the bass in the group VoicePlay. Geoff does all his own arrangements and he does half the arrangements for VoicePlay. He just dropped the most amazing version of Carol of the Bells (715k views in the first 11 days). In that one, you'll get 5x Geoff without all the make-up to make it look like different Geoffs.

    If you're ready to go down the VoicePlay rabbit hole, you can start anywhere within the Rabbit hole, but my favorite place to start is VoicePlay's version of Metallica's Nothing Else Matters. Hope you have time to check it out. Be prepared to be even more "blown away"!! Enjoy!! ruclips.net/video/f31q5KdfLnM/видео.html

    That is just one dude my dude. The proof is in these videos (16tons, big iron, don't mess around with jim, house of the rising sun, carol of the bells, and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen) to name a few. He's not in any kind of costumes per se so you can see his face.
    And that doesn't even cover the group that he's actually a part of called voiceplay. You really need to check those guys out. Some recommendations include but are not limited to (nothing else matters, the dragonborn comes, carry on wayward son, hoist the colors, the way you make me feel, zat you santa claus. )
    Welcome down the rabbit hole. Should you choose to proceed expect your mind to be blown every time.

    Tim from Home free did this song better. Cleaner bass
    Btw check out Homefree- End of the road. Boys 2 Men obviously did a fantastic job on that song. But HomeFree killed it. They definitely did that song justice and we both know that’s a bold statement with that song

    I’m a big fan of Geoff & his arrangements, but Peter Hollens & Tim Foust have a better (all vocal) version of this song….in my opinion…do yourself a favour & check it out.
