I was lucky enough to see Jean Guillou perform live at St Eustache in Paris. Wonderful performer, and a man of great knowledge and passion.

Fantastic! What a hero of our generation. Such a lovely man. How great to hear his excellent English. Thank you so much, Carol.

Wow did not know he could speak English so well. I think he toured a lot though and picked it up like that. Olivier Latry is speaks great English too. Guillou was a great player and old style gentleman eccentric. They don’t make characters like this anymore sadly. You can learn a lot from the older generation. He reminds me of my dear friend Dom Sebastian Wolff at Buckfast Abbey. Can no longer play but a fount of knowledge to be gained if you put up with being plied with tonic wine and strong cigarettes lol

I just want to say a big "Thank You" for having this interview with M. Guillou. I had the privilege of hearing him several times at St. Eustache. With his passing I found myself watching this video several times. Again Carol, thank you!

World-class maestros. Had the honor of talking for a couple of minutes to maestro Gillou many years ago at Mexico city's conservatoire (as well as giving him a few of my own works). And lovely/talented maestra Williams! Congratulations to both.

What a nice interview with such a heavyweight in modern organ music interpretation. He just likes the sound.

I find it surprising that Jean Guillou didn't mention his proposal for the Organ of Variable Structure which I find unfortunate as I feel that it would be nice if there was more of an awareness of that project.
