The number of currencies/do-dads is the worst part for sure!
As always, very helpful. One aspect that you didnt cover was the Performance Bonus for using the appropriate ship from the Combat Triangle to get extra points from each trial completed. This becomes even more important in the lev7 trials because you can make the trial bells you have last further. And you will needs almost twice as many bells to complete a trial. LLAP

It's been brutal
Missing an important point for those staved for time - you don't actually need to kill the spawned hostile to complete the dailies. Letting it time out 3 times also works as the daily is just "start a trial' not 'finish a trial'.
13:00 everytime a ship end it impulse movemente it forces a respaw. Thats how I do actians make some Apex apear verry near. It also works for respaw mining nodes.
One thing not mentioned is the fact that lower level players will quickly hit a wall. Still spend the bells on failed attempts though
Rev nice video as always. The most important way to get information about the game is your channel.
I have a for at least very important question: Is there any way to let scopely know they should fix the pvp in a way where the lvl bracket you can be attacked in is smaller. It absolutely makes no sense in my opinion that a player lvl 49 can attack player's lvl 39. That's no pvp that's just bullying the smaller players.
So glad I waited till I was at home to watch this. This is just what we needed, more complicated grind.
When is Scopely gone to fix this Connection Error issue? It is the same problem that occurred in Part 2 last month which Scopely gave of us all an insignificant reward chest because of that lost day. The truth is I lost completing the Monthly BP Event by the lost day and ended up being 1 short to complete that Voyager Pt 2 Event and now Voyager Pt.3 Event is in jeopardy also. I am upset and trying really hard to be respectful!!
There are updates out today which are supposed to address the issues with Forbidden Tech. They also put out some work arounds yesterday as well as having the opportunity to remove the Forbidden Tech to help rectify some of the issues.
Given the tight timing and widget requirements to complete the FT upgrade SMS and the lack of info available on Arc fall FT upgrade widgets would be much appreciated in the comp chest ... especially if they give it out b4 the event ends

I like the idea of the Q Trials. Now that I can actually get into the game (arc launch stability on PC and Android have been F tier thus far) I like how the Q trials work. It also allows for some customizability to ships to go with crews.
There's not enough currencies. MOAR CURRENCIES!!!!!
Got a bug yday that after equipping this Tetra-something, my miner with it refused to mine in addition to constant disconnects. Not to mention that EU servers went boom completely. Fun times. That compo chest better be good.
I just hope it won't be abandoned after this arc and some new FT's will be added from time to time.
Forbidden Tech definitely has potential (along with it's massive convoluted over-currencied mechanics) I think I'll enjoy the challenge when the Trials start getting difficult! And hopefully the gains of the tech itself will make a difference. However I'll have to reserve full judgement and grading until a point where my game doesn't break all the time, despite doing all the fixes that have been figured out thus far.
Now that Q is in the game, if Vash will make her presence known and she will come to the game. It would be awesome if she had some sort of bonuses for the Q trials.
Actually the tip at the end of the video is not forcing to spawn anything, the nodes are already spawned, what it forces is a sync of the client with the serves. When you enter a system from the galaxy view, you can see on the right side near the help alliance members button a Scanning text being displayed. This indicates that the client is syncing with the server. I use the same procedure for solo armadas, to see if better ones have spawned, or with the Actian Apex to see where the 3rd respawned, as it might be closer than the other two and in the process save some time.
Q definitely brought the chaos this month!
Do I need to strip the FT before I scrap the ship?
Very good.I found it all easier to crack than I thought once I started. It's easier than it looks once you get it and I already have the new mining tech on my B'Chor. Thanks for the info on the dailies which answered my only remaining question. Yes, it's more grind which the game doesn't need. But it's easy grind with very quick rewards. So a qualified thumbs up from me and I don't say that often these days! Re: Voyager - still on 76 blueprints 😅
How do you go back and do challenges that you did before? I now have done all the challenges to the point where I can't defeat the ones Q serves up for me.
Hey Rev - in Q's Trials where you pick your next target, under the Strength of the next ship, there's a tiny arrow and number like "< +2,500 points." Any idea what that is referring to? Its definitely NOT giving you progress points for every failed trial. My best theory is that it increases the Point Reward for when you finally defeat the next trial, but I haven't figured out how to confirm that yet.
What kind of crew do you want to run is a regular hostile crew going to be good enough?

Captain: Yuki
She will ko the shield eventually
Bridge officer 1:
Decius: gain attack every time you get hit. it adds up.
or
Mudd: if you have a ship whos shields die easy like a Bortas, he will amp your attack by a large amount
or
Khan: if youre running crit damage below deck
Bridge officer 2:
Marcus: synergy with Yuki and hard counters explorers
or
Kang: hard counters interceptors
or
Chervanek: Hard counters Battleships.
dont be afriad to pop a damage exocomp.

Currently I’m just doing the 5 trails per day so I can do both dailies every day. Or is there a benefit in doing as many as I can immediately?
From what I can see, you could run it like the mantis and complete both every other day if you skip the first one in between. The question i have is: is that really worth it?
Think they might give us an arc where instead of adding a bunch of broken features, they just fix the stuff we have currently?
How many slots are available on each ship to equip your ship with forbidden tech? Just one? What's the point? I want better Shields and help killing hostiles!
Uhh, @RevDeuce I missed something kinda important. How do you even START the trials? I have the Court built to level 2 but I don't even know how to ring the Taco Bell.
Did you do your update? There's a little pink icon next to your dailies!

Rev, I'm finding zero nodes that claim occupied but arent - The good old locked node problem from 3* back in the day. Is there a fix? (S14, FSEP-3819 is down to like 3 of 12 nodes functional)
Yeah I found out the hard way. I equipped the forbidden tech and when I try to go back into the upgrade screen, it would only show the ship and nothing else and I have to reboot the game to get out of it. This make that ship unable to upgrade. I can use the ship in combat but it won't show the damage and when I go boom, the ship animation is stuck in combat and eventually the game would say bad connection and I get taken out of the game, if I try to go back in right away it would give me the same message. It would only stop if I stay off the game for a period of time. The pay to unequip is not a big draw for me. Unless they are throwing those rods at us, I'm just gonna ignore this feature.
Can you do a longer, slower video on the forbidden tech. What and how you do, and some of the thoughts on how you choose. Sorry! Watched the video twice but it was all too high level and quick for me, I still don’t get it so have not done anything with FT yet. Asked around my alliance almost of us are just baffled.
Too many different things to do, remember and currencies.
You can do first 3 trees, battleship, interceptor and explorers at once: you will get enough bells to complete all 3 trees. Then do 5 / day for the dailies, choosing any of these trees where you feel confortable to kill hostiles. Idk how it will be after you upgrade the building to tier 7 when you can unlock t2 trials. Also, you can unlock Tetrocyanate for free, you can upgrade it a bit and equip it on mining ships for example. I also got Transphasic Torpedoes for free doing the first 3 trees and and i upgrade it 2 time (actually failed two times :) ) and equip it on my Saladin and Augur for the small bonus on armadas. It seems we get enough tokens to equip / unequip them from ships without too much hurt.
So does this mean Scopley is on trial for the crashes? And some of us can’t even use this new Q building etc.

Is there any news of a patch fix? I can’t use my North Star for anything, game keeps crashing and I’m too worried at this point to uninstall and reinstall. Yes it is attached to a scopes account which is where I prefer to make my purchases but if I lose everything then that’s just gonna be too sore a hit.

have they fixed the interceptor swarm cluster spawning for all 3 trials?
clearing the nodes is still a gamble or do the rares ones appear after 4-5 drained nodes . tried clearing the common ones before and had no rare ever since then i just started killing the hiros in those systems givving all 3 types of hero loot ,when hull is down to almost i start clearing the common ones ,still a 5/5 for me to get a rare but spend to many token already not getting a rare there
Did I miss you go over crews for the Q hostiles?
Like I showed in video, they are REGULAR hostiles, so normal crewing applies ^_^
@@RevDeuce It seems trials can spawn special hostiles as well, but they follow the same rules as their cousins, I just faced a trial freebooter battleship with the freebooter buff on it
Are you limited with how often you can use each FT on your ships? Eg, can you only use the Tetra on only 1 ship at a time?
Correct. If your torpedo is on Ship A, it can't be on Ship B. Think of it like an officer in that regard.

I quite like the new game but I hated and hate that the system keeps crashing. It has turned a good arc into the most memorable all for the wrong reasons. Ever heard of testing and test environments
Hey Rev Deuce I finished my Q trials but the game doesn't reset. Is there anymore to do after that the next? Grouping is at level 7 and I'm only level four. What do I do?
what if your stuck and cant beat the hostile? they gonna let us reset those?
Where are you stuck at? Maybe I can help! Since these are regular hostiles are tons of different cruise we can try

@@Diane.Currier try PMT or 5,6,7. Those crews can make up for a 50%+ power difference

How would you " repeat " say the 5th battle on battleships if you can't kill the 6th battle? Or when you say " you can repeat trials " do you mean only if you are able to finish a tier of 10 battles? I don't see a way to select battle we already completed. Thanks!
So eventually if you don't have a strong enough ship to complete one of the first 3 ship type trials you get stuck?
@@gisha9700 it certainly looks that way. I'm Ops 29, my strongest ship is 1.3Mil, can't get beyond the 5th or 6th trial, and can't repeat, so to do daily, I will have to fail a trial.
The Q trials are made for either p2p or very high-level players. I'm working with first 2 star ships and didn't even make the first level. Am I missing something?
That compensation gift was WAY TOO SMALL (I mean, only one). We should have gotten it for a week or 2 weeks at least. THE AMOUNT OF GLITCHES EVERY DAY is truly insane. Today they lost my sally TWICE at a critical moment in a very difficult grind. It was about a ten minute setback - very frustrating.
I tried 4 upgrades. 85% chance to upgrade each time. 2 successes, 2 failures. Each failure added just 0.63% to the success chance.
I cannot stress how bad of an idea this is for Scopely to be using these sort of mechanics. Kill it with the holy promethium.
I made an error of starting with my base Leone and so I’ve been getting some in exchange token space. Why they wouldn’t they code it to exclude these systems I will never know.
But I do like the idea of the trials but it’s not exactly been implemented with care. I think this is what is commonly known as the Scopely way. 🖖
But u could base at a system with only one system 2 systems away and get it all the time right?
as for the voyager mining its been that way since day one.
When you apply forbidden tech to a ship, is it temporary (like for a day) or does it stay, more permanent. I have been earning the tech but have not redeemed any yet.
It is permanent (but can be removed with one of the various currencies).
Shocker. Scopley can't roll out with new content without a huge screw up. I missed out on some dailies because I couldn't do anything with the ship.

Can't send feedback to Scopply after q update. Game keeps crashing, and using Voyager to mine a token space doesn't work. Will not pop up the miner popup. Seems to only be an issue with the ship I unlocked the forbidden tech on.

Why does every new game mechanic need so many new currencies and why does it have to be so complicated?

so....I have been messing with the q trials for a few weeks and I think I have figured something out. Scopely has figured out to give us a feature where the reward is higher not to use it. As I have been messing around with the trials, I realize I am proto-matter starved. The only way I can increase the amount of proto-matter I get is to level up the q trials building. In order to do this, I need to complete the dailies. In order to get credit for the dailies, I start trials and let them time out. So....once I complete the trials, the building will be a higher level and the reward will be more. So for all of the labor hours Scopely has put into creating the Q trials....it seems likes they don't actually want us play with the trials. Dumb.
Wouldn't know what it's like....game has been crashing for 2 days now....can't change crews without a restart.
How do you increase the Q bonus points he gives for completing the mission?

with watching this video, sometime i thing that content creator run this game on completely different server, not even once your game crashes, where as my game crash in every 30 sec and unable to upgrade my ship in which i have equipped FT. completly blank screen. 🤣
As new f2p player I very quickly reached my limit At level 2, very little reward for low leve, ships.....

@@RevDeuce thanks for taking the time to reply. I have only been playing 7 weeks. I am ops 20. My best ship is tier 2 kehra at 60k, then I have talla 43k, turas 40k, and phindra 41k.

Maybe someone could expand on the insane flowchart to include the official “if you have problem x, try these 10 things” response we get from $crapely.
The crashy, buggy game we had was tolerable. 5-20 crashes a day I could live with. But every 10 seconds is over the line.
Also, it sure would be nice if they fixed the website so we could actually get the mission keys if they’re gonnna do another event for those.
The patch is really buggy. My game crash a lot and I can't swap out cruise with the new forbidden tech

This is the most paywalled release of paywalled releases, and pretty much the entire game is borked. Then there is the part where I basically spent a pack removing FT from my G5’s so I could actually play again.

Horrible, you should be able run all three trials at once, minor but ft is baaaddd!!! The buffs are underwhelming and they could have countered that by adding a major negative buff, you know like in canon, hence the reason why they are forbidden, and then upgrade and Luling, forget it I still haven't reached building 7 or maybe that cause there sooo much to doooo!!!!😒
Comp chest was pathetic.
They need to stop adding new content and just focus on fixing the bugs.

This new game content is complete trash. The bonuses you get are nearly worthless and you have to spend a bunch of time to unlock the FT. Can we get new content that is innovative useful and simple?
This arc sucks. I'm fine with them being creative, but they explain everything so poorly, and then the badness is amplified massively because they don't bother testing anything before releasing it.
Another low documentation update that has a million features and makes the foundation of this product unreliable. Did they pull in the dev team from a local elementary school? Pathetic
