what is the point to camping at 35? I see what to do but not why to do it.

I think it's a good level to get a lot of things that only come with reaching ops 35. it is also a good level for gathering materials, leveling up ships and officers, and for research. otherwise you would advance through the ops levels without having the tools to complete the tasks that await.
@@FlukeMe In the end I ended up leaving the game, I threw money at it and simply maxed out all my stuff and then went into the new thing and found their time wall and it just disinterested me and the whole game.
Everything at the previous level was absolutely no match for the stuff you had to mine rare resources and basically my job did not allow me to do so reliably.
I'm a nurse so I didn't have a reliable set schedule with which to babysit mining ships, ultimately their extremely poor statistical balancing makes the game unplayable.
Just hit level 35, would love to see an update to this video. It’s only been 15 months but seems like there’s been lots of changes since. Keep up the good work!!!!
I'm 10 days away from Ops 36, and I think that I have already done everything on the list. I have scrapped one each of the LVL 26 Faction ships (Mayflower, D3, Legionary), bought all the Prime Researches that were possible with G4 rare and below (even Prime Piercing), have max shards of every officer in the Faction Recruit chests (Kirk, Gorkon, Nero and crews), A tier 1 lvl 5 Franklin A, and Enterprise & Kvort both at tier 6. I'm in good shape.
If at 35 or lower: Get as much stuff as possible on research, do the minimum on station defenses until necessary. Stay shielded and it's not much of an issue. Your base can be cracked in one hit by certain people, so just repair if raiding or shield up. You need the mats and RSS elsewhere so you can later have the mats and RSS to get station upgrades.
Going to 39, 40, and 41
Ensure you have Franklin-A. If you do not: do not go any further. Figure out a way to get it, because it opens up awards in dailies, and bioswarm minerals and bioswarm biotics (which will yield 100mil parsteel, etc.).
First, I would highly recommend that you focus either on Federation or Romulan as your primary faction. Why? Because for the most part, the Epic ship you choose will have to get you by on pvp and other missions for a while. Jelly is slow to level up because of 4* ship parts, and it's not so great in pvp. Enterprise is an excellent ship, but weak until Tier 4 or 5 and starts to shine at Tier 6. To get it to Tier 7, one component will cost over 9000 3* Uncommon gas. Even a Tier 5 Enterprise can kill Jelly a million or more power above you.
Auger, you will need tons of ore. But long-term this will destroy even the best Enterprises once you reach Tier 7.
D4 Class is an easy ship to kill for Enterprise, and doesn't seem to have the effects and powers that Auger or Enterprise can offer.
If you are not at dual faction: get there. I decided to go Fed-Klingon, but probably should've gone Fed-Romulan to have easier access to the Auger.
Having said this... ensure you try and get as much research done as possible. Research substations also add to efficiency and power bonuses. Before hitting 39 and getting Jellyfish, make sure your Interceptor parts research and materials research is maxed; this will make less mats and ship parts needed to upgrade your Jelly.
Lvl39 is the dumps. You are now a threshold level for really going big, but you are limited. It feels like the cards are stacked against you. Ensure you are raiding, because you will need billions of parsteel for upgrades and the awards and events are going to throw you chump change. This unfortunately is an excellent level and LAST CHANCE to maximize your event returns and awards on 3* materials. Do not just leave lvl39 and expect more 3* mats will be available! It all changes to 4* mats and some 3* scraps. I believe it was around 6bil parsteel needed to jump to lvl40. At that level, lvl40, you are also going to feel overwhelmingly underpowered in an overpowered expectation. You will feel a power increase across the board, and upgrading research buildings and academy and such will significantly increase your power. You will need billions and billions of parsteel but it will come much easier than at lvl39. Franklin-A dailies and swarm biotics/minerals will yield plenty of RSS tokens.
DO NOT BEGIN REFINING YOUR 4* MATS! Save them for lvl41 when you can refine uncommon mats.
At lvl40, you will see new offers that are much higher in RSS, Mats, and Uncommon ship parts. Make sure you know if you have Jelly that you need Explorer ship parts; not the others.
If you couldn't resist getting the Jelly, then you need to get your crap together and head to lvl41 quickly. This is an excellent "camping" level, in which you will begin to build power, have research that was not available until now, and also opens up the 4* uncommon mats and 4* uncommon ship parts. Begin building your research, ensure you are taking part in your dailies, your Franklin-A is now so powerful you can go to the lvl41 Swarm space system and complete your entire daily needs there (Pike-Moreau-Tlaan).
yesterday I pulled two chests in rare armada having not seen this video . but got a lucky pull and unlocked a full enterprise. everyone said they'd never seen or even heard of such a thing . just wanted to share the news . IDK if it was a glitch but it's pretty amazing .

I wish I would have maxed and scrapped the Mayflower before level 35. The only thing I think you are missing in this video is leveling up the Discovery and Meridian and the research for both of those ships.
As someone about a month or so into Ops 35 this was perfectly timed. Gives me goals to work on for the next couple of months now!

This video feels like a personal checkup for me and I really appreciate it. I can’t play daily and miss some events so it’s is hard to know what to do next. I’ve been stuck at level 35 and boy am I missing a lot of these goals. This really helps me know what to focus on when I get on to post. Thanks a ton.
One thing you could add is saving the primes to unlock them during a jelly event at lvl 36. They would help add to your SLB and potential to get the jelly.

Great video. I just had to move to 36. I have most of this list; however, I have a terrible time trying to get good officer pulls for shards. I have little done on Rogue, Stella weak and Armadas-few.

Rev, just got my Franklin A this AM. One thing you probably want to discuss when acquiring the A is to level up the Assembly Line Research in the Station Tree as it has a monster build time of 165 days and a scrap time for the regular Franklin of 1 day. I knocked it down to mid 60s with the research then mid-low 50s with the helps. Since I have been accumulating speedups, I was able to use 50 days of speed ups.
I built my Augur today at ops 34. I had enough uncommon ore stashed away to get it to t3.5. I am about 2M freq modulators away from maxing my OG Franklin. I will start working on Efficiency research soon.

Thanks for the video. One thing that I have been doing and why. I am faction locked with Fed. and Klingon. I have not even tried to increase my rep. with the Romulans. The reason that I am doing it this way is because I only get about an hour of straight game play a day. I can check in to send out a ship or something a few times a day. Otherwise I am working. So having the Romulans hate me helps a lot with hostile hunts and such. I just park a ship or two in Romulan space and let them do the work for me. Btw, I am at level 34 with a maxed Bortas and Sally. I just recently got my Enterprise and took it straight to T4. I had been saving gas for when I got it. I have most all buildings to L34 with a couple exceptions. I was camping at 34 until I got my Ent. I will go ahead and move to 35 soon.
Augment space serves the same purpose. You can be tri-locked. Unless you're having the ship in ROM space to auto farm your faction dailies. Hunt's are fairly infrequent for this purpose but I see what you are saying. Takes a load off the grind.

If you can swing it with the semi-annual event stores giving out Frank core parts, I found it easier to scrap a T7 & T8 Frank - getting to T9 takes forever!

Great video Rev. Hit the button for Ops 35 a few days back with 17 days to go. Just locked all factions, have 7 rare officers maxed and well on the way to getting the Franklin to tier 9. Some good advice and goals to work on to get in the best position. Cheers 👍🏻

I think if you are tri-locked then all of the rares in the faction recruits should be maxed to farm the transporter stuff, that's 9 right there that are pretty easy to do honestly. You should already have augment rep maxes and admittedly this is a "do as i say not as i do" thing because im lazy but farm data, buy that augment recruit chest as much as you can, level up your khan, you'll also get marla and jaochim maxed by doing this so that's 11 maxed rares. If you want to grab the awoken recruit chests thats 3 more rares you can probably max easily enough
Also yes known associate very good for rogue, I think that's going to give you everything unlocked that you can work on at 35 in the research tree which is important.
Looks like I'm making vrey good progress on my 35 camping!! Now if only there was a spend G3 leaderboard I can bring myself to push the Ent from mid T4 to mid T5... Yeah I also can't believe I'm hoping for such a leaderboard lol XD

Wish I'd seen this back when I was 35 😅. 39 now, already have everything on this list EXCEPT the trinity officers to t4 (mine are only t2), and my God I can't stress enough how crucial it is to have those 3 higher than I have them!
For faction miner get Klin Kvort. The Klin exclusive crystal efficiency works on it.

Dang, I just hard grinded my Franklin yesterday from 40 to 45 on 30-32's so I could scrap it. I should have checked. Opened Luke 500 pve crates.

Here's a little something that I consider both you and Djz have ignored when it comes to maxing out rare officers : the augment faction. Now, I camped at lvl 20 for several months because I was getting used to stronger ships and stronger bases to raid, so while doing so I spent as much as I could on augment officers specifically for base cracking, therefore started to get TPs at level 21. You can only imagine how useful that is to me now that I'm level 27 and camping again for a few months, just enough to get all the Sally bps and build up a stock of faction26 bps, so I won't have to spend faction creds on them later on.

This is Vinom on Server 11. I've got most of that done already except the faction miners to tier 5 an I got Epic ships but I gotta get them up to tier 5 as well. Maxing out Research is a must. Thank you for the video though

I only recently hit 35 and thought I'd check this vid to see how my progress is doing, and was quite surprised to see I already have most of this done. The main thing I still need to do is get an epic ship built and levelled, but as for the rest. Kvort is t5. Ready to build Franklin A as soon as we get an event so I can spend the 2k crystal needed for Shipyard and scrapyard. Point 3 is not really something to do but a useful tip once you get your epic ship, but I will probably save armada chests after then. Efficency research is coming along but still a few more to do here. I just scrapped first mayf so I'm now working on the primes and will have them soon (except prime crystal). Got the tri-lock and at least 10 officers giving TPs - and rogue is known associate, not sure where that relates associate rank but the next rank is partner so maybe it''s after that?
Anyways less than 20 bps to go on Augur and alittle less on Enterprise so by the time I get one of these to t5 should have everything else done.

im about a week into Ops 34, this video was just perfect for a roadmap. Still trying to max out my Franklin, im missing only 1 gun upgrade for max Tier. Got my D4 and working towards Augur and Enterprise now.
Ops 38. I just got my Enterprise bps now I just need my common 3* gas to unlock it..... Got Franky-A at T-2. I have a lot of work to go....
I camped at 35 for 2 months, got most of the list done. Need to claim rare armada chest to get some much needed UC g3. Trinity officers are mostly T2-T3, need to work on that. Now rushing my way to 38 to camp and collect rss to go 39 which needs alot. At 38 Dvor is gone from epic chest too and g3 comes alot easier so I was told.
Five months into my camping at 35 got Epics to Tier 3, Faction miners all T4, Franklin-A level 5, 15 Epic officers maxed. Scrapped 1 of each 26 ship and processed Primes. So I’m about half way their, might do 36 early if can kill Capital Ships with Intrepid T5 now

Camped on 35 for long time until worf made me go 37 and do twice all cannons. Unlocked worf . Now camping mabe until dez mabe until Jan them rush 38-39.
I just got my augur (up to tier 5) and my enterprise. Gunna not lvl till there maxed but while camping im gunna save klingon creds to get my ktinga n stuff to advance the glory of the klingon empire.
Looks like I met almost all of these goals before moving past 35. I need to work on my trinity but I do have Marcus maxed so it's just Char and Kang lagging behind. I tend to only pull officer shards during recruit events though which is why it has taken me so long.
Today upgraded to 34, now waiting till Franklin goes to tier 9. Legionary maxed, mayflower tier 6, D3 tier 2. All factions locked, all rare faction officers maxed (but not tiered up)...

Sure it is, and that's why I've been at 35 for 4-5months and am almost done with the list. I still have at least a few weeks to go.

You mentioned scrapping Lvl 26s to scrap to get primes, should you build the epic ship and faction ship first , then build and scrap a few lvl 26s? I am concerned about crystal wall with building maxing a D3/Legionary/Faction Miner. Wasn't sure on the order to get things done. Surprised that you didn't specify a Tier level for 5 or 6 of 11. Would having 5 and 6 at T3 be about where 6 should be or would it need to be higher? When should one start building a 2nd Epic ship that would be needed for ops 39, say the 1st would be an enterprise?
Why do we need Faction Miners? Isn’t the Horizon an acceptable alternative?

Usually at 34/35 you're focusing on scrapping stellas (if you havent' finished there) as well as d3/legionary/mayflower. Don't forget you're going to need 2* uncommons for your dock at level 39!
have been doing the 29 soft camp for about 7 months now. currently ops 32 with everything but the resources (fell asleep at the game with the shield down and lost it as that was the 1st goal I had reached) currently T8 on Vidar, Bortas, and franklin. the furthest from T9 being 3 parts away, got My PMC/T with T2 Pike and Moreau and max Chen and T'laan. Got everyone save Kirk/Gorkon in the fed and klingon faction sets at max cards and at T4. Kirk at T3 170/300 and Gorkon at T3 434/300 faction credits are my short coming. Unfortunately my RNG is likely the lowest in the game as I have tri faction locked and never unlocked enough faction BPs for any ships. ( bought the Bortas and used faction credits on 20 Centurian BPs as I could run +300 35-40 reds depending on my rep targets and If I was lucky get one Print. as it stands I have 27 B'rel, 39 K'vort (some bought with faction credits) 54 Saladin, 44 Intrepid, 6 enterprise ( buying now as I build), 33 antares, 46 Gladius, 10 Augur, 19 Valkis. Trying to decide if I should push to 35 and wait it out there or continue my slow crawl and go to 33 once I get my ships to T9 and max Kirk/Gorkon. I really want to get the Vidar to T9 so I can get the faction credits there also. also is there any benefit to building and scrapping the common 3* ships? I have enough to build around 60 warships and 8 more horizon's and that increases every week. I can build 16 envoys as well but I already have 14 made to Tier up and scrap when I can
Don't know if this is good or bad but I got roughly 80 Enterprise prints in 6 months ( still need 34) with max Vi'dar it has been easier but with Borg solos that may change.

In previous camping videos I've seen you give a recommendation for parsteel/trit/dilithium saved - if at 29 it was 3B parsteel for example, then what at 35? The Going 40 vid said to aim for 35-40 billion parsteel before going Ops 40, wondering how to scale it.
I didn't have a billion until around 37? The billions of parsteel matter more towards 39 to 40, and matters most to get you to 41 (that should be your goal: not 39 or 40). See my above comment (highlighted comment on the parameters).
Your RSS will vary so widely at lower levels. If I raided you, I could wipe out all your RSS. You restocked with tokens, and I wipes you close to 0 RSS. Now what? Well, you do your dailies, find missions, do events, wait for Battle Pass and you're right back to where you need to be.
Don't shoot for 40: plan for 41. Maybe 25bil parsteel? I can't recall. It can be done. This last territory event (9 days) helped me accrue somewhere around 50bil parsteel while using 18bil to upgrade to 41.

I think I maxed my Franklin before the Franklin A came out. Still,at level 32 operations.
Rev. Great video as always. You mention maxing officer shards and not needing to level them up. I have 3 Fed officers at Rank 4 and I don't want to waste Fed credits on them. Their shards are maxed at that level (168/182/192) and I don't seem to get any more. Presumably I would have to promote them to get more shards? Am I losing out by doing this? Do I get less Fed shards overall, or am I getting the same amount but focused on the officers I am using?
If you have gotten the maximum number of shards for an officer you will receive officer xp (for common/uncommons) or transporter patterns (for rare/epics) each time you pull them in a recruit chest. Open a Fed recruit chest but don't skip the animation - you will see the officers you have max shards for turn into XP or TPs. This will happen irrespective of how far you have promoted the officers so if you don't want to promote them past tier 4 that's fine - you're not going to lose out on anything from the recruit chests.

Question - I think that it was the camping at level 39 video that you suggested stopping and maxing out at least one or two of your epic ships. In this camping at 35 video you stated to stop building your epics at Tier 5 or Tier 6. My question is do you no longer recommend maxing out a epic? If memory serves me right your basis for maxing out an epic at 39 was that once you hit 40 you would no longer receive 3* Resources. In other words I am now confused as to where you think we should stop building our epic ships?
At 35 stop at t5 t6 to save on uncommons. Once you hit 39 then max
any recommendations on how much rss to have saved up before moving on past 35... including uncommon rss
In your F2P video you recommended skipping faction miners, but here they are on the to-do list. If base raiding isn't a priority, is there some new advantage to having them at 35+ that warrants building them? Thanks!
So the reason things have changed is that faction credit sourcing has greatly improved since the original videos. (They need to be updated). 3* Faction miners will be the main miners people use deep into the 40s. The original problem with getting them earlier is you just didn't have enough for officers, miners, and preparing for lvl 34 ships. You do now.

Great video. Currently ops 33 and will be making that move to 35 soon. The question I have is you mentioned scrapping Mayflower, D3, and Legionary specifically. Any reason not to plan to scrap my Bortas? I have max mayflower and Bortas and wonder if I should focus on 2nd Mayflower or other ships mentioned?
You can't scrap your bortas till way later
Rev, with Cerritos & expanded research options available at 36 does it make sense to soft camp at lvl 36, achieve most goals then plunge towards lvl 39?
As I have no intention of buying the Mantis to open up another set of grinding red triangles I guess I'll see y''all next month. Hopefully DS9 will not suck but I am sure they'll introduce 10 new currencies, a one trick pony Defiant and a base skin that costs £100 per 2% of the unlock. Nahh, Scopely are just milking the ST franchise and the game is so cumbersome now its getting less fun to actually play every month due to the amount of grinding you have to do to progress.

I get farming at these level breaks (I stayed at 28-29 for 6 months), but dang Scopely needs to encourage more progressive game play! Especially since they are creating new content aimed at higher and higher levels.
Are you saying have all 3 faction miners at t5/t6, or just one?
Level 35 and may stay here rest of life with 7 specialty ships and 3 faction ships to catch up on
The thing I don't understand about camping is that if I stop now, at lvl35, to reach these goals, I will have to stop using my 2 build queues for quite a while... Which feels like a huge waste since I'll have to use speed ups to catch up later. But I usually keep my speed ups for the important research and rarely have some to spare for buildings
I'm at level 33, but I've maxxed my Franklin out, it's Tier 9 level 45 and I can't scrap it until I get to level 35 which sucks. I'm not a whale I didn't buy this. I didn't just grind swarms, I ground in other areas to boost ship XP so it could handle more. And alot of research too. Is there any other way besides paying for one that I can scrap it now? (I go by Spacetard, in the Warp Alliance, server 37).
I can Max my cargo out with around 40K and barely have any damage on my ship in a level 32 system.
You mentioned scrapping a Mayflower, I scrapped mine long ago (stupid I know now)...is there a way to grind more BP's of a Mayflower?

Only need T4 augur to grind at lvl 39, still possible at 41 but have to live out in deep space due to warp.
No point in staying at 35, dont worry you will hit a brick wall at 37 anyway so just level up and be stronger while you are at it
I am on server 57. I messed up and payed with out a plan. I was around lvl32. I am not following your channel and i am working to catch up by camping at lvl 35. what would be the best way to catch up. I did get a Enter prize but it is pretty weak mostly due to my officer situation. My closest officer for transport patterns spock with 229 shards. I do have a Monroe& PIke crew and I have a Khan crew he is at LVL Lastly I have my Franklin at Lvl40 only need 1 part to get lvl41 ( but need 1,500,000 transponders). I have 2 Antares cargo ships and 1 Amalgam. both faction ships are near 1.75 million cargo my almalgan is at 2.1 million. I have stella ( 400K)/ Vi'dar (536K) / De';Vor Pleas advise bet wat to catch up.

ok , after watching it, I have still the same question , why 35 , why not 36? After getting the Franklin-A, you are in a short distance of 36 - so ... why not push 36 then pause?

I'm at 34 just now and already have the Augur in the oven. So stop taking Epic and Rare armada credits. I have only the lvl 26 D3 and it is maxed, just need to tier and get to 45. Should I buy the Mayflower and Legionary NOW to begin maxing those or do them after getting Augur to T5/6?

Generally you'd try to lock them around the same time. Doesn't really matter which first, though.

Probably because of the cost, you will need the same materials for upgrading buildings and doing research, very hard to do all. Once research and builds are maxed, then best to pursue maxing epics.
So would it b best to max out your armada crew of jaylah,10 and khan before going to 39? Like b4 marcus trio? Im not a big pvp player but w new augur and midlevel crew dang does it kick it like a beast.
I don''t understand your enthusiasm for fist tier franklin, frankly , lol , I considered scrapping my franklin and getting the A a big step backwards. This isn' even a one trick pony because it sucks at doing swarms, It only does dailies because it gets a X3 special bonus, on swarm sunday my ent is a 1000% better! lvl 37 just isn't that big a penalty, I would recommend pushiing to to there on the chance that the franklin and sarco are half as good as advertised on higher tiers.

While I do enjoy your videos, I have to disagree quite strongly with the recommendation to camp at OPS35.
When I was on OPS33 myself, I had a Legionary/Centurion as my strongest ships (1M power each) and then did an OPS rush to 39 in the shortest time possible, completely ignoring ships and expensive research.
Events were hard towards the end and in retrospect, having saved up faction credits to buy a 3* epic ship during that OPS rush would have been better.
(I only got the Enterprise after several weeks on 39, those weeks were hard. I also wouldn’t build the Centurion again, max Legionary into 3* epic is perfectly fine and saves a ton of mats for the station.)
And everything else, I would do at OPS39. At that point, maxing and scrapping ships goes faster and Para Bellum gives a Lat income to boost through lots of things quickly.
