I totally agree, I am blessed enough to have purchased extra "buddy" gear for my friends to use so no one is ever feeling left out. When we just want to jump on the road for a day trip.

@@NinaDefilla I thru-hiked a short trail near me in Connecticut in early April, and it was great as we had a snowy winter and while the snow was gone by the time we started, nighttime temps were still in the low 40's-high 30's and the ground was still cold. Agree it's overkill now. I have the uninsulated Tensor for late Spring-mid fall trips. my 3rd summer with it, very pleased!

Hello from Vancouver. Raised with immigrant parents that didn't understand the outdoor culture here, hiked for the last 8 years and ready to start exploring back country. I hope to hike mount assiniboine next summer, but practicing locally first (mount webb in August)
Edit to add: this is probably the best gear video I've watched because I know these products are actually accessible in Canada. Ive noticed a lot of US companies aren't shipping across the border right now, which has really delayed my decision making. Also, really awesome to hear from someone that experiences the same climate changes. I swear my hike on Saturday had all 4 seasons 😅

Liked, commented & sub'ed, too late for the contest but love ur content! ❤️
I'm a longtime backpacker, but a little setback (brain surgery, brain injury, torn meniscus & now Long CoViD) and NEED to get my hiking legs back, as I have to honor my Mom's final wishes & bury her ashes at Inkspot Lake at the base of Dunn Peak as the full moon rises over the lake! It's in the BC interior, near my hometown of Little Fort BC 🇨🇦
This will be my 5th attempt/year to get it done since she passed & roughly 5 months to prepare. My wife, at the time, girlfriend, the city girl, who vowed never to go backpacking again, we (my Mom & I) took her to Black Tusk for her 1st hike, I made the mistake of only massaging one side of her body & leg - oops. My wife has agreed to come along, together with my sister, her son & dog, who're from Winnipeg. It's gonna be EPiC 😂
But I'd love to copy ur Tunnel Bluff's overnighter as a stepping stone hike, u did that in the off season, so no worries about paid parking at the Sunset trailhead? & No worries about the fire 🔥 ban?
Black Tusk, Garibaldi Park was my usual annual hike, in time with the Perseid Meteor shower, but it's been a few years (10? IDR) and last time was a day hike, my knees were killing me on the way down. Gotta lighten my base weight! And my weight too! No pressure, right?
PS. Was the borrowed sleeping pad from Justin Outdoors?

Could you do a video on how you pack your pack? Do you leave your sleeping bag in stuff sack pr just stuff it into the bottom of pack? Do you also leave your tent in sack or stuff that in pack also?
If I win this pack I would take it to Adirondacks, NY
Oh I just saw the end , perfect your next video will be how to pack a pack! You are wonderful!! ❤️

Another awesome and informative video! Love seeing all the gadgets and gizmos that you use on your hikes. I’m deffo gonna get a poop shovel. We don’t have bears to attract around these parts but like you said… leave no trace! I think I could make good use of a backpack like that in the New Forest national park here in the UK or maybe a trip to Snowdonia. Keep those videos coming. We love watching them. Thanks chick.
