I'll be looking into your work. I had the same experience many years ago. One big "problem" which you may be aware of or maybe avoid, is that _no matter_ how well you describe the experience and/or the inferences you have drawn from it, the experience itself is NOT in the repertoire of most people's experiences. As you know, words are unable to elicit the experience in other people (unless they already had the experience, in which case it's a nice reminder). So you have to wonder, why do people find the idea you're communicating attractive or interesting? You might think it's because they recognize it as you do, but how can that be it? It's something else. Maybe something as mundane as having a bias for a theistic god out there confirmed by someone in an intelligent way. I'm glad you're talking about it, but be wary of people who seem to show their support. What we really need, of course, to do if find some way to give people this experience. I experience the world so vastly different since delving into the science of consciousness. I too have had the experience described by Federico, Wild Stuff! I recall the thought when in the midst of the awakening, "Unified Field", since then its been a constant unraveling of what all things in existence truly are. Everything is alive with Consciousness!
Thanks to you both for the dialogue! Federico offers an interim step for science to take on the way to shedding the notion of physicalism and the distraction of materialism. They're both hard notions to ignore. Until mainstream science, academia, and the public at large accept the notion that Consciousness is all that actually exists and that everything we experience is Perception In Consciousness, and since requiring nothing more, there is nothing more, we will not have access to the type of truly exotic technology we can imagine, but not imagine how to create... Yet.😊
Consciousness has been called, and perceived as God, and in Eastern religion and philosophy it is the definition of God: Consciousness; Existence; Bliss. We humans share in the first two but until we evolve, we experience not bliss but reality through our five senses and use our cognitive faculties to discriminate between options and to navigate life.
Its interesting, that moment of transcendance that Federico experienced and interprets as a light of energy emanating from his chest, is what i felt when i became aware of my oneness with all things. Really, the way my objective mind would describe it, is a relinquishment of thought entirely. The peace and oneness felt was a consequence of letting go of the mind itself. Where the mind is constantly labeling, defining, searching, etc. Letting go of that entirely is what brought the sensation of stillness and peace, which is always felt as a oneness with all. The mind through its many labels, segregates you into a perspective of separation, but letting go of this process immediately eliminates that perspective and gives you a sense of connection. This connection is not a learning, like it is when the mind defines things, but a knowing, because it is you.
This was a wonderful conversation, thank you! I am so glad to have found a modern thinker using Leibniz's concept of Monad. Great contribution and breakthrough🙏
Thank you Federico for sharing your insights with us. I've seen other events featuring you, and always thought: It would be so great if there was an interview with you and Rupert Spira. Your contributions to the same truth, viewed from different perspectives, could really add up to new insights.
Excellent interview...maybe the best I have listened to with Federico Faggin. If you want to get, at least tastes, and maybe more, of the experiences that Federico is talking about, it's not that hard actually...there are established paths. The ones that I know of, and have experienced of (I am not an expert), are the 'Non-Dualist' ('Not-Two') meditative paths of 'Vajrayana-Mahayana Buddhism' and 'Advaita Vedanta' (Hindu origin). Beware, most of the meditation you will find taught is from a more 'Dualist' _'Therevada Buddhism' path (i.e. Mindfulness and Vipassana). These paths do not value the Non-Dual / Not-Two experiences so much, rather they emphasize one-pointedness, concentration-absorption and 'Cessations of mind-body' (i.e. 'Nirvana'); certainly valuable states too. However, I spent 30+ years doing this 'Dualist' meditation, with ultimately a sense of disappointment surfacing. Once I switched to the non-dual paths and traditions, it was like the lights going on and it helps / re-orients me in daily life, including emotions - and a lot more!. If you want to try this path, I always recommend Michael Taft's youtube channel and there are lots of guided meditations there. I regard him as my main teacher now, he's so skilled in guiding. I recommend that you work up to 40 minutes at one sit as this has been reported as a bit of a sweet spot. There is also a Disord Server associated. I personally set up the 'European Sangha Group' meetings on the Server. Everything is free / by dontation. Welcome to the experience of, ' Not-Two!' my friend, you won't regret it.🙂
When Fredrico was saying that consciousness needs to know itself, it occurred to me that if every cell knows about the whole, why doesn’t consciousness know about the whole? Why does the universe wants to about itself when it already knows all about itself?
Something I have asked myself for a time. The best explanation I've found is the Whole has everything inside in a state of balance: light-darkness, love-hate, etc (love and hate ARE the same quality or concept but on the opposite ends of polarity and so on with all qualities or features of the soul-man; it's similar to being the number 0, which contains all numbers in equilibrium: 2 and -2 (=0), 1.235 and -1.235 (=0), etc). It was in an equilibrium before the Big Bang. To experience those qualities, It needs to split them, polarize them and create bodies, beings (interfaces let's say, cells, plants, animals, everything) and these physical material beings are created in such a way that they lose temporarily their connection with the Whole (the amnesia which all beings experience in their rebirths or reincarnations) and, for that reason, believin they are imperfect, unfinished, incomplete parts of the Whole (one person can believe for example he/she is a bad person and not able to love when, actually, he/she is a fractal of the whole so has all Its properties). These beings interact to each other in their physical life experiences, and through those interactions, the Whole gets to experience Itself. Of course, many other questions arise if this was part of the underlying truth.
Hi Tevin! Love your show! I noticed that you had playlists for Materialism, Panpsychism, Illusionism, and Idealism, but nothing for Dualism. Any plans on interviewing some analytically minded dualists in the future? I'd be interested in seeing an episode with Ralph Stefan Weir in particular. Congrats on the 69th episode by the way!
Thank you so much! I do have some dualists lined up, and Weir is actually on that list. For some reason, many dualists have been the most reluctant to participate. However, I've convinced a few "big players" in the "game." I appreciate you supporting the channel and the kind words!🙏🏽💙
Sadhguru uses meditation unity to achieve a level of consciousness that brings the unity to your subconscious sleep. I do it all the time however, I have had near death experiences also before hand.
What I usually dislike and disagree with in idealist theories (such as those of Kastrup and Hoffmann) is the way they talk of matter or the physical as illusory. Likewise I disagree with materialists who talk the same way about mind or consciousness (people like Dennett, for example). The "reality is an illusion" refrain is pernicious as much as it is the "consciousness is an illusion" refrain (or variations like "you're just a machine" or "you have no free will"). Faggin's view seems more nuanced and he seems to avoid such language and claims, which is good. I think reducing the physical to the psychic or viceversa is a mistake. I think reductionism is a very useful epistemic method (it's essentially analysis, breaking things down into more fundamental parts to understand them better). However, ontological reductionism is a mistake, I would claim. Its flattening of reality is unnecessarily restrictive and simplistic. Besides, even epistemologically, analysis needs to be married with and complemented by synthesis. I think mind and matter are poles - the yin/yang - of the dynamic and continuous creative process that is reality, which can be seen both monistically and pluralistically, but which is essentially relational. Hen panta einai, as Heraclitus said, with a specular formula that can be read both ways: everything/all things [is/are] the One; the One [is/are] everything/all things. There is no verb in the original Greek quote arrived to us, actually. It's a dynamic relationship rather than a static identity. IMO, at its core, reality is creativity, dynamism, relationality.
Quantum computers look like the Egyptian DJed pilar may be they are the same thing. I Also have had the same experience but my experience was a from DMT smoking about 1/3 of a gram not knowing how much to smoke , and This has been transformed for me also I the most positive way. This video is the best explanation of it thank you
Thank you for this wonderful conversation! There are links to other wise people for instance Rupert Spira with "The Nature of Consciousness " or Daniel Siegel with "Awareness " and Thomas Metzinger 's book "The Blind Ones and the Elephant ", which gives many exemples of pure consciousness, similar to Federico's enlightend experience.
When i LOOK carefully I can't find any 'pure consciousness' suspended from the rest of the sparkling Christmas tree of the cosmos. And I don't think Federico use this expression. Probably he is closer to Bernardo Kastrups idea of 'mind at large'.
@NYNEO1 check out my discussion with Bernardo about Analytic Idealism 101. He describes us as Dissociated Alters of the "one" Consciousness Federico is referring to. I'm curious to know exactly where they intersect/diverge. Perhaps I'll have the honour of having them both on together someday!
This guy has to have a long talk with Thomas Campbell!!! I assume he knows about Tom's theory of everything but if not he rewlly should look into it. Try and get them together man they would be great to come together and help to herald in a new Era of understanding

Dr Naidu, is it correct to say, therefore, that free will, collapse of the wave function, requires a time/space dimension? In other words, is there possibility of free will decisions when consciousness is detached from the body either because of death or because of an NDE or simple dreaming; all states when consciousness is in a complete or quasi-complete quantum state?
Tat Tav Asi. Hasn’t vendanta and I think ultimately Buddhism comes to the same conclusion? Through direct experience. Now we are discovering more complex ways of describing it. Still, one has to experience it, has to experience the realization of Oneness. Apparently he has had this revelation. Now he wants to prove it to his materialistic/physical list, friends.
Consciousness is known as Atma or soul in Indian tradition which is infinite , means no beginning, no end. It beyond intelligence, beyond mind, beyond senses, beyond matter. Science cannot theorise it. No word can describe it. Consciousness needs the matter to manifest it.
reality is just playing a game with its self at all levels and in all ways ,because it enjoys participating in manifestive, maintanive, and demanifestive activities.you are a part of that reality.ENJOY
The experience that Federico had, is the SALVATION that Christians talk about. Like he says, it is NOT an intellectual knowledge, nor a belief/dogma! His explanation has made me understand some verses of the Christian Bible; like, "you should love the Lord your God, for he is your life", "you are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God" and, "on that day you shall know that I am in my Father and you in me, and I in you." "The peace that passes all understanding".
"ECK is the totality of all awareness."- _The Shariyat-Ki-SUGMAD (Way of the Eternal) Book1_ . It is said to be the "fabric" of all that exist, that can be seen as Light and heard as Sound with the inner senses. Experiment and explore: Sing *HU* daily to safely alter personal frequency. Search how to sing *HU* . A sonic tuning fork.
I just listened to a podcast featuring a discussion on spirituality and transcendence and on the panel was an atheist explaining his position. I can help but notice how much more intelligent, more nuanced, more progressive and more inspired this discussion is in comparison
All hitherto search for knowledge has always been to describe the cruel system that EXISTS (Classical physics as laws of nature determined future , evolution as survival of the fittest in the struggle for life , price mechanism with competition, etc.). But what he attempts to describe is the system we SHOULD attempt to achieve. Yet he doesn't realize it cannot be achieved by assuming it to EXIST, which is implied in his assumption of ONE attempting to "know itself"~ this is his hope, a very good one, but unjustifiably fatalistic, because NATURE in itself, just like the GOD of conventional religions, would never bring about a positive end on its own. What he attempts is only possible, if, and only if, we ourselves design the path in spite of THE ONE attempting to destroy our attempts.
Fast and Furious that are explaining the exact thing that he's talking about it for us about how it's objectivity how many subjective experience Alicia's first Consciousness goes this is how you reconcile the fact that we live in a duality that has objectivity on one side and subjectivity on the other and also chaos in order and many other things that are irreconcilable this is how it's done yeah I figured out a way to quantized space and gravity is well now. I really wish I had some physicists to mathematicians to finish my theory because I'm sure we would be a shoe in for the Nobel Prize at the very least I have an explanation for why there's something instead of nothing and I I can explain every faucet of existence and infinity and everything. And it's all based on the speed of light and a couple other things
The Hardest Problem of Consciousness We often hear of the hard problem of consciousness. Why is there qualia or experience of anything in the first place? I would submit there is an even harder and more important question - why do I seem to be a specific individual experiencing a specific subset of qualia? If material reductionism is to be relevant to the big questions, then it must explain not how brains generate consciousness but how the specific brain in my head could create the specific consciousness I seem to be looking out of the eyeballs of this specific body. Why do I PERSONALLY EXIST as an individual in the first place? Out of the infinite matter in the universe how is it that only the three pounds in my head could create me? What is different about that three pounds for this to occur? Consider that billions of bodies showed up before this one. Billions showed up after this one. None of them seem to have created my existence. This body could be running around without it being ME just like these billions of others All bodies are made of the same elements. All brains have the same basic anatomy. If all brains are basically the same and are creating consciousness, then there should only be ONE consciousness looking out of every set of eyeballs simultaneously. A hopelessly superimposed existence from every possible viewpoint at once. I’m sure that materialists would claim that no, no, brains are so complex they are all different. Ok, so what would have to be recreated in another brain for me to exist looking out of another set of eyeballs? When the ontologies purporting to explain consciousness are examined critically it becomes obvious that all materialist/reductionist strategies fail completely in attempting to address the individuality question. What is the principled explanation for why: A brain over here would generate my specific consciousness and a brain over there would generate your specific consciousness. Integrated information over here would generate my specific consciousness and integrated information over there would generate your specific consciousness? Global workspace over here would generate my specific consciousness and global workspace there would generate your specific consciousness? Orchestrated quantum collapse in microtubules over here would generate my specific consciousness and orchestrated quantum collapse in microtubules over there would generate your specific consciousness? A clump of conscious atoms over here (panpsychicism) would generate my specific consciousness and a clump of conscious atoms over there would generate your specific consciousness? If an exact copy of my body was suddenly created in Antarctica, would I find myself to exist freezing there while also sitting in the comfort my living room? According to the physicalists that would have to be true or their argument collapses into incoherence. Materialism already fails since it cannot find a transfer function between microvolt level sparks in the brain and any experience or qualia. In addition, it’s not possible for materialistic ontologies to address this question of individuality since no measurement can be made that could verify my consciousness vs your consciousness and therefore no materialist ontology could make any coherent statements about the subject. How could pure awareness even be individualized? Physicalists demand measurements but with consciousness there is nothing to measure. There is electricity in the brain they say. We’ll measure that. Is electricity consciousness? If so, then once I again I should exist everywhere at once since electricity cannot be individualized. My blender uses electricity. Is it a genius? Unless materialists can answer these questions their premise collapses like the house of cards it is. As far as other ways of thought are concerned only Dualism and Idealism can account for our sense of individuality. Dualism assumes we are all individual spirits/souls matched up to a body through some undefined process. Idealism, which states that consciousness is primary also answers the question of why I seem to exist as an individual. One consciousness exists looking out of every set of eyeballs and in the process the illusion of individuality is created in each case. In actual reality I am you, you are me, we are one.
Consciousness is an information system, we use our avatars to interpret the data through our 5 senses, consciousness is the computer rendering our reality.
In The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (by Douglas Adams), it was said that the earth was designed as a supercomputer to work out the "meaning of life the universe and everything". And just before earth gets destroyed (for intergalactic capitalistic reasons - building of a super-highway) someone has a sudden epiphany..... and the answer is ....... 42 HE WAS RIGHT!* If we look deeply into our deepest longing, it is to know "the meaning of life the universe and everything". Life the universe and everything is the result of the urge of the infinity of conscious space (God) to know itself. Because when we know that we exist, the most important question that arises is "what am I and what is existence?" That's the condition of the omnipotent infinite space. It wants to know itself. We are how it gets to do that ✨💖 *Judaism: In Kabbalistic tradition, 42 is associated with the creation of the universe and the "Forty-Two Lettered Name" of God. Additionally, the Torah scroll is traditionally written with no fewer than 42 lines per column.
This guy sounds just like a Hindu monk talking about philosophy 😂😂😂 whatever he's saying is closer to what hindus have been saying for more than thousands of years. Yoga and Meditation are the key tools to understand the truth of Oneness.
🤔. . You have the free will to make your own choices.... However.... you do NOT have the free will to decide the accountability of the outcome of the results of those choices that you made with your free will choices.... because.... the outcome of results of the accountability is held in place with the laws of Quantum Mechanics and you can NOT change the laws that are held in place by the laws that govern the ENTIRE Engineering Structuring of the correct Mathematical Equations of the correct Mathematical properties that shows the correct Mathematical Engineering Structuring System which shows the accountability of the correct outcome held in place by the free will choices that you made! .... This is NOT difficult to understand.... unless you want to keep trying to change something that you will never be able to change.... because.... you can NOT accept the TRUTH of the held in place governing laws that you can NOT go beyond.... which means.... you can argue this point for millions of years ... and ... in the end ... you will STILL.... have to accept the outcome results that were shown long ago.... but because.... you refuse to ACCEPT the TRUTH.... you have found yourself in a very stoooopid argument that will STILL show the same outcome that was known before!🤣

Yet.😊
Thank you!
Federico, I love your book! I love your elaboration of quantum events into consciousness.
This was so rich and amazing, what a beautiful insightful conversation with do many clearly articulated pointers. Thank you❤❤
🙏🏽💙
Thank you Tevin and Frederico this is fascinating and conversant with many threads that ring true for me
Thanks so much!🙏🏽
Federico brilliant.
Magnificent cast🎉.
Such 'Hope' is glorious.
I love you all very much.
🙏🏽💙
This was a wonderful conversation, thank you! I am so glad to have found a modern thinker using Leibniz's concept of Monad. Great contribution and breakthrough🙏
Thank you!!
Thank you Federico for sharing your insights with us. I've seen other events featuring you, and always thought: It would be so great if there was an interview with you and Rupert Spira. Your contributions to the same truth, viewed from different perspectives, could really add up to new insights.
Hopefully I'll get Rupert on MBS sometime soon! It's probably long overdue!
Absolutely delightful, insightful recognition.
Genius conversation. Love it
🙏🏽💙
Fantastic conversation - thank you
Thanks for watching/listening!🙏🏽
Fantastic ...you taught me something....
Not many can teach me.
Thanku so much😊😊😊❤

Wonderful session 👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it!
A real treat!❤
Glad you enjoyed it!💙
This is an enlightened dude. I like his theory. Thanks for the book Frederico.
Great book! Even better writer/person.
Welcome to the experience of, ' Not-Two!' my friend, you won't regret it.🙂
Thank you!
When Fredrico was saying that consciousness needs to know itself, it occurred to me that if every cell knows about the whole, why doesn’t consciousness know about the whole? Why does the universe wants to about itself when it already knows all about itself?
@@chargersina
you missed it
ONE all that exist
wants to know itself
Cells in a material body have the live quantic information of the whole body.
Static Quantum Consciousness is the right technical description.
Sadhguru uses meditation unity to achieve a level of consciousness that brings the unity to your subconscious sleep.
I do it all the time however, I have had near death experiences also before hand.
You are indeed ▐ THE MESSENGER▐ and in today's language, very beautiful...♥
🙏🏽💙
Thanks for sharing!
holistic interconnectedness and possibilities
Quantum computers look like the Egyptian DJed pilar may be they are the same thing. I Also have had the same experience but my experience was a from DMT smoking about 1/3 of a gram not knowing how much to smoke , and This has been transformed for me also I the most positive way. This video is the best explanation of it thank you
Beautiful.
Thank you! Cheers!
Come to think of it, Federico himself, because of his work, is an example of the One Consciousness trying to understand itself. Am I making sense?🤔🤔🤔
THIS IS FACTS
Thank you for this wonderful conversation! There are links to other wise people for instance Rupert Spira with "The Nature of Consciousness " or Daniel Siegel with "Awareness " and Thomas Metzinger 's book "The Blind Ones and the Elephant ", which gives many exemples of pure consciousness, similar to Federico's enlightend experience.
🙏🏽
I'll try!

The fish trap exists because the fish.. once you got the fish forget the trap.. reality’s is our own creation with a “purpose”!
Thanks
Thank you very much, Ace! Appreciate it.🙏🏽

Transjectivity may be a consequence of internal relations
To destroy the people who worshipped their own intellect is to feed them the illusions of control.
YOU ARE THAT! There ya go (see Nisragadatta Maharaj, Ramana Maharshi, or Werner Meier, he has a weekly podcast on Saturdays)
BRILLIANT! The CONSCIOUSNESS or SELF-AWARENESS that he is talking about, is a reference to - G-D, The Creator.
reality is just playing a game with its self at all levels and in all ways ,because it enjoys participating in manifestive, maintanive, and demanifestive activities.you are a part of that reality.ENJOY
Or just a word
The experience that Federico had, is the SALVATION that Christians talk about. Like he says, it is NOT an intellectual knowledge, nor a belief/dogma!
His explanation has made me understand some verses of the Christian Bible; like, "you should love the Lord your God, for he is your life", "you are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God" and, "on that day you shall know that I am in my Father and you in me, and I in you."
"The peace that passes all understanding".
And also in all world religions and spiritual traditions. It's also found in poetry.
There's a 🐢 problem here. He says that Self-Awareness will keep increasing infinitly. Well then that's really no better than any other answer. Right?
The Hardest Problem of Consciousness
We often hear of the hard problem of consciousness.
This body could be running around without it being ME just like these billions of others
All bodies are made of the same elements.
What is the principled explanation for why:
A brain over here would generate my specific consciousness and a brain over there would generate your specific consciousness.
R 1:18:30 ?? …😿
42
HE WAS RIGHT!*
If we look deeply into our deepest longing, it is to know "the meaning of life the universe and everything".
Life the universe and everything is the result of the urge of the infinity of conscious space (God) to know itself.
Because when we know that we exist, the most important question that arises is "what am I and what is existence?"
That's the condition of the omnipotent infinite space.
It wants to know itself.
We are how it gets to do that ✨💖
*Judaism: In Kabbalistic tradition, 42 is associated with the creation of the universe and the "Forty-Two Lettered Name" of God. Additionally, the Torah scroll is traditionally written with no fewer than 42 lines per column.
I love Douglas Adam's Trilogy of 5.
This guy sounds just like a Hindu monk talking about philosophy 😂😂😂 whatever he's saying is closer to what hindus have been saying for more than thousands of years. Yoga and Meditation are the key tools to understand the truth of Oneness.
Probably he does not understand it all
There is only consciousness. Consciousness = God God = the oneness of All.
A thinker who is not very used to say "i don't know", is not a good thinker !
🤔. . You have the free will to make your own choices.... However.... you do NOT have the free will to decide the accountability of the outcome of the results of those choices that you made with your free will choices.... because.... the outcome of results of the accountability is held in place with the laws of Quantum Mechanics and you can NOT change the laws that are held in place by the laws that govern the ENTIRE Engineering Structuring of the correct Mathematical Equations of the correct Mathematical properties that shows the correct Mathematical Engineering Structuring System which shows the accountability of the correct outcome held in place by the free will choices that you made! .... This is NOT difficult to understand.... unless you want to keep trying to change something that you will never be able to change.... because.... you can NOT accept the TRUTH of the held in place governing laws that you can NOT go beyond.... which means.... you can argue this point for millions of years ... and ... in the end ... you will STILL.... have to accept the outcome results that were shown long ago.... but because.... you refuse to ACCEPT the TRUTH.... you have found yourself in a very stoooopid argument that will STILL show the same outcome that was known before!🤣
That's what they told Einstein.
Now that you've proven that you are more intelligent than the entire universe, can you please explain how the brain produces consciousness?
Sufism in a nutshell...
So mind is like VAE 🤪
This is mostly just gnosticism.
