@RobertSpiller c'mon Ghana is way too good than Rwanda 😂. Rwanda has been in hatings so many years plus bad colonies(I don't say Colonialism is good but look countries coloniesed by Belgium Burundi, Rwanda and Congo) so we've been bad so long but we have signs of bright future
A little correction East Africa Visa does not include Tanzania (they have their own visa). It's Rwanda, Kenya and Uganda. I don't want sisters showing up in Tanzania and can't get in 😻

@@thelionandthemouse9933 Rwanda is special to me because this is a country that was able to rise from deep pain and devastation. It was Rwandans who liberated Rwandans from the genocide. Now Rwanda is the leading country in the world when it comes to women in position of power and it is the cleanest. The country has faced and continues to face its past and this is the only way to move towards a better future. The world can learn much from Rwanda. People of African descent in the diaspora can also learn how the past deadly divisions in Rwanda (a remnant of colonization) continued to divide the people and led to mass killings. But more importantly we can learn that unity amongst us is vitally necessary and mandatory in order to fight against the yoke of racism and colonization that has so harmed us. Rwanda is hope. Rwanda to me is a beacon . We must acknowledge our people’s triumphs and victories.
I’m glad to here you find like minded and culturally similar people around the world. My fear being Black American/Soula is being cut off from my people/culture so that was comforting to hear. ✨
I travel full time with my son and we're heading to Africa this winter and Rwanda is on my list for early next year. This is very helpful since I invest in real estate as well. Who knows this may become our home?
Great video. Unlike most videos with similar topic, you covered pretty much more than enough to know about what one needs to know about relocating to onother country. Thanks
Love this! Enjoying the update on Halona and learning how she's contributing and thriving in Rwanda! Exodus Homecoming 2022? I didn't see the link for that. I'm ready! Thank you Roshida & Stephanie for all that you do for ladies seeking to move abraod! Thank you for this community!
I'm so happy for you ladies!!! 👏🏿 We are looking to visit Kigali in January!! Lord we need healing from this racist country...I hope we find some good deals with land and contractors.❤️💪🏿✊🏿
Thank you for the very informative interview. I have been researching about Rwanda for some time now but I was not aware of the V12 visa. Thank you so much for sharing.
If anyone of you is interested in buying land in Bugesera, Kigali or at the lake kivu. I can connect you with a seller. No BS. No commissioner. All papers included, all questions answered.
Greetings, when was this recorded? You mentioned 8pm curfew, I don't think that is currently In place. I also understand most services (restaurants, Motor rides) require you be vaccinated, even though there is no clear guidance.
I'm visiting in late May with the plan of exploring business opportunities and getting a feel for the country and city. My plan is to repatriate once I get some projects completed at my house so I can get a good price for it
Oh, I'm going to Rwanda now that I've watched this. I've had a heart for Rwanda ever since I watched the movie, Sometimes In April. And it's hard to imagine the country has changed so much since the genocide. But I'm so happy for that.
I love Rwanda and I am disappointed because I know it to be the perfect retirement spot for many and Jai Essence (her You Tube was hacked causing major problems but not her work) she put in the work as well as developed My Cousin Connection bringing many of us to Rwanda. How do you do this without her ? We have a huge expat community here in Rwanda with members who have been here for 15 or more years, I am really disappointed with you this time because this is my home and I have been here 2 years and you did give the true representation of our expat community
Hi, Im in the UK, and would like to connect with others in Rwanda. I am planning on relocating by the beginning of 2025 with my daughter, and would like to make connections before I do. This video was a reminder as to why Rwanda really appeals. Looking forward to visiting next Yr
Greetings. Pray you were able to visit Rwanda. I visited in June 2024. Loved it. Left piece of my heart there. Definitely on my list for place to retire. Must confess that the current relationship with DRC is of concern. Otherwise, love it.
I’m living in mexico right now and I’m Rwandan . I have been thinking of entrepreneurship in Rwanda as I see great opportunities for investing right now in Rwanda . I loved this conversation. Thanks ladies .
It always surprises me how many countries we have spread to, and we always manage to thrive! I also lived in China in the late 90's as a kid which was very unusual as a Rwandan. I hope all is well with you and yours, and hope you get to visit home soon.
There's plenty of reasons, including business related, why Rwandans will be better of returning home, compared with the reasons why they live in the west
Stephanie Perry, normally your consent is extremely soothing your voice even when you do that high pitch [ masking] thing getting away from the stress in your voice. still soothing! This combo does not work, it's Opposing energies. Draining each other. I do appreciate the content. I acknowledge, there are those who think only positive energy should be acknowledged, the however is, life is not that simple, "my culture states even negative energy must be acknowledged", it is the opposite yet the same! For Visa on 30 day visa on arrival, it is free for nationals coming from African Union, Commonwealth and La Francophonei member states, if your country is a member of any of these organisations, you won't pay the first 30 days visa.
You ladies have style and intelligence! So refreshing! I was interested in Rwanda and even called the consulate in nyc and I asked them about a retirement visa which requires $5k/mon. That is above what I make and was told that I need to go directly to emigration in Rwanda and ask about a waiver if they could do it. Boy, I wouldn't want to go there and find out no about the waiver. It would cost me a lot of money to investigate plus the cost of my dogs at a kennel, etc. But to hear about that reciprocity visa for Americans I was not told about by the embassy. This may be an option. Say, how are they about little dogs as pets? Are dogs allowed in apartment living? Thank you ladies.
You should be fine with a small dog, as in writing this I can hear dogs barking in the middle of a good neighborhood in Kigali. Dogs are mostly for security here and dogs aren’t a big part of the culture so it might be hard to find specific dog food you want but I know plenty of expats with dogs and they’re starting to be more catered to so you’ll probably be fine. There’s also plenty of ways to get around the visa, it would probably even be cheaper to start a small business and get a visa that way than paying 5k a month just to retire, that seems like it’s for very wealthy snowbirds
If you're still interested, please talk to the Rwandan Embassy in Washington, D.C., not the embassy in NYC. Those two embassies serve entirely different roles, and the embassy in DC would have more pertinent information for you as an American.
Really...seriously I am planning to move in soon but looking at opening a computer engineering centre/Computer trainings and sells cheaper PCs but I am still looking for someone to put me through..coming from Nigeria
Wonderful video. I am thinking about visiting Rwanda but work remotely. Does anyone have experience using Microsoft Teams to join video conferences while in Rwanda? I’m wondering if I would need to purchase a special plan.
It works effortlessly with the standard 10mbps Canal Box internet ($25 per month). I live in Rwanda ( moved from the states) and studied online in london during the pandemic. No hiccups, occasionally electricity may go out and I have 4G network on my mango phone. It automatically switches to using my phone and it has a smooth connection throughout.
Welcome to Africa sisters. I can't imagine that there's any African out there who wouldn't love to have you on (our/YOUR) continent considering their knowledge of how the United States treats its Black Citizens. My experiences about your experiences in America is more of decades of personal experiences in America, about 2.5 decades to be exact, until the racially motivated official murder of George Floyd by a White Police Officer (A tip of the iceberg) when I decided to make a U-turn and returned to my country. For me, that horrific incident was the final straw that broke the camel's back. Suffice to say that Black America is very welcome all across Africa. After living most of my life across the west until 2020, I realized that there's no place in the world other than Africa where people of African descent will truly or 100% feel at home. GOD BLESS BLACK AMERICA. ❤✌ & HOPE for my people.
