I agree, probably will have the s58 and with the Xdrive. I'd love to get one but my 2017 m240 will have to do for now.

The m240i is a better buy
That wasn't a proper launch control, it was brake boosting. You can't be in M1 mode, has to be S1. You will see a flag on the dash when it's properly engaged 💪🏼
What is S mode for? Whenever I change it to S mode and I shift, it goes to M1 m2, etc. Is S only for automatic and what does it do?
@@bayareagtr5468 Sport. M is manual and regardless of the driving mode. S ist just the transmission in sport mode.

One of the best reviews of this car so far. Very accurate demonstration. One thing to keep in mind is the M240i is a balance between small luxury coupe and sports car. It is not meant to be a full out sports car... that's the M2
I have a M240I with MHD stage 2 is such a pleasure to drive and makes a lot of others cars surprised.
MHD tune ? need to check that out
3,6 is 2000's supercar levels of acceleration. A base model Gallardo was 3,5 if im not wrong.
welcome to the modern ERA ! - first of all the GALLARDO which i love was heavy only had 500 hp and a Terrible SC trans so yes they were not super fast but looked bad ass espec with a hot porn star driving it🤣🤣🤣

@@PaulTC777 didnt pay much attention - handling was ok for 2011 - i was with my 18 yr old bangbros pornstar cuddle at the time time - just rem gas mileage was horrid , trans was nowhere like the ZF but car looked and sounded badass ! rem this was over 12 years ago bro ! times have changed light years - just drove a mclaren 570s with another cuddle and it was light years ahead of the gallardo in every way shape and form- 12 years is a LIFETIME in CAR YEARS kindo of like DOG YEARS lol

The new M2 will get bug markups and this model will not so,there’s that! The 2022, 230i is surprisingly quick too. Less money for basically the same styling inside and out so check that one too.

This thing is going to be a dig monster, supra killer for sure.

The carbon trimm is not factory built, it’s aftermarket. The 0-60 is not 3,6 it’s low 4s (4,1-4,3). The car also has aftermarket wheels, looks like 20s”which are not available from the factory. Factory offers 19” with the pilot sport which are available only with one set of rims 255m back, 245 front and it has a small plastic arches on the fenders, which this car doesn’t have.
There are several reviewers that got 3.8 sec 0-60.
Every review including from every major car magazine like road and track and car and driver got under 4 seconds 0-60. The number he is quoting is real world not what the manufacturer says.

M240i because it’s not a fancy Jetta. That 5 cyl sound really nice though
240i xdrive is an AWD supra... That engine will have limitless development for decades into the future

Neither. Model3 performance. Blows both out of the water easily in a daily situation and it gets better every couple weeks via software updates. Much quicker too on the streets. Don’t bring “track” into this discussion since 99.9% of the time these cars belong in the streets.
How can anyone seriously buy gas cars that are not
1) supercars 2)unique limited production cars that will continue to go up in value

the 8hp is way better than the dct. the new m2 is going to be the flagship bmw car as far as performance is concerned. the m240 x drive you can build the trans, engine and drivetrain for 1000hp and the aftermarket already exists. same DME as the new m3 and its cracked.
the ZF torque converter is not better than a DCT let’s be realistic

It might be lesser i guess. Maybe 2.9 or lesser. I hope so. If the m240i is 360hp, then the m2 might be 410 or more? We all know M2 is lighter than the M5 and also the new m2 got awd/xdrive. It must! below 3 secs.

@@nighthawk0077 by the way, about the acceleration, they changed the gearing which is nice! Shorter gear ratio for the first three gear which will improve 0-60mph / 0 - 100 kmh, and longer gear ratios for better fuel economy which will also increase the topspeed. Guess M2-M4 will be fully gasoline while the m5 is now half hybrid and gas. let's just wait for the next gen M cars. Can't wait to buy it.

Why would anyone ever choose piano black in their interior? Damn, that looks nasty. I will never understand why the manufacturers keep using that crap in their cars. It's no cheaper tham matte plastic, which looks and holds up a million times better.
Go for the aluminum mesh option.

I actually think that it is bullsh#t that BMW have stopped offering the manual transmission because people are no longer going for it, I think that they are no longer offering it so then they can say people are not buying manuals anymore !

Yea manual is dead tech. And why have it, its such a pain in traffic, you gotta deal with clutches etc, not to mention DCT shits all over it, but in a race vs an automatic without DCT ill take the stick but thats it, too much of a pain to drive and its slower than the new transmissions . Dont mean to insult anyone just my opinion.
It’s not dead tech. Yet. They hold power more reliably and are cheaper all together.
Manual is about fun not performance. EVs will soon own the automatic part of racing and that will be no fun. Drag racing is going to die but for now track lives on.

I love the Melbourne red, I had a 2017 m240i convertible in Melbourne red, the front is not attractive the grill and lights aren't as good , the back is better, the biggest miss is not offering a convertible, the seats are nicer than the previous series, and there is more technically than the last series

Every new car is faster than the last 😂 that’s how they sell them , faster being used loosely a flagship Porsche will go round the Nurburgring 2min or so quicker in the real world off track far less 😂… what any car manufacturers fail on usually is styling and sound, speed is easy we’re past the times of slower cars because they got heavy due to safety
