Was lucky enough to see them perform this right up by the stage 2 nights in a row in 1987. They were the warm up band for ZZ Top in Adelaide, South Australia. Angry tossed beer out to us at the beginning of their sets saying it was illegal for the venue to sell it but not illegal for him to hand it out. On the second night, he held the microphone down in front of me and an Aussie standing next to me during Born to Be Wild, we grabbed it and sang "born to be wild" in front of the entire crowd!

@QRhuggies are you from OZ, Angry Anderson is very respected in Australia I believe he was standing up for Child Abuse also a victim , when i was in Australia in the 90's my friends from Perth enjoyed the Biography I had purchased
This particular clip with this band and the original single recording is with /as ROSE TATTOO and it came out in 1985 , I still have this single and it's ROSE TATTOO. The next album that came out (jn about 87) was an Angry Anderson solo album even though it had Rose Tattoo on the lp cover written but it was so soft and weak and no original R T guys and John Meyer had left as well by then.
This wasn't Steppenwolf's song, but Mars Bonfire or Dennis Edmonton, who wrote music for Steppenwolf. He did his own version of it before Steppenwolf made it popular.

Sounds similar to the story a couple comments up which ones the Aussie standing next to who
@@stab9661, well, as both commenters stated, they were with their companions, so they both could be accurate stories.

John Meyer is one of the most underrated aussie guitarists of our time....hes up there with some the worlds BEST. Still plays clubs and pubs.
He's my former guitar teacher
@@michaelpollard9812 I remember him doing some great Zep stuff when he was younger.
The best version of this song i have ever heard well done Angry and the band
Yeah man !
is one of the best covers I've heard of Born To Be Wild.
Just cannot beat Aussie rock .
There is nothing else like it.
Raw . Unpolished. Dirty.
And talent that makes it look so damn easy.
Great version always love it and was more fun live
Hell freakin yes!! why does everything from this place rock SO hard?
Angry is still a fucking legend and so are the Tatts. Never dead.

Angry, ian g. Few singers I still like..
steppenwolf killed it tho
Hank Moody´s manager is ok in this cover, but should learn when to make a pause and then strike with full might.
