The wood was actually an ambulance/hearse thing. Up until the mid to ;late 60's, Both ambulances and hearses were basically the same vehicles. The only real difference was the equipment inside and the paint on the outside. Some Ambulance companies even doubled as Hearse companies as well. They still make hearses like that today, adding quite a bit of extra light flimsy wood where you won't see it. My son in law used to work for a hearse making company in Lima Ohio.
The Fambulance as it's for the family and will look Fabulous when finished.
