- We actually make the ambulance idle and run like it should! Also, we take it and see if we can this around the yard! Maybe we should go ahead and see if we can get a cooling system in it and fix the brakes on it.
Go grab you some merch while you are at it!

quit running a flathead with no water in it, they don't like that
I feel like I just got grounded
At the very least, tie the return and supply, and fill it with water. It’ll actually warm up better by helping disperse heat to all areas of the block
Amen, why are you trying to ruin it without a radiator ???
I can’t believe it’s moving under its own power, I dig it 😊
she just wants to live again
Hey brother, thats a 3 speed trans, the 4 spd would have lockout lever for reverse, and the reverse position would be to the right and back, otherwise a 3 spd is a 3 spd and i think you kno the pattern, oh and "those things down there that ain't spinnin" are the waterpumps, lol 😂
Yeah, once I saw the shift forks, I knew it was a 3 speed.
Good.job cool FORD 1944 Nice show 😄👍👍👏👏👏👏
an awsome find there.
Great video on getting her some gears.
Can't wait to see what's next on this cool ambulance..
Your doing good work .
Thanks 👍
Awesome
That meat wagon has a lot of potential
As rare as that ambulance is, it should be restored to original. It very well may be the last one of its kind in existence.
Man that motor runs good!! It was great seeing you get your first ride
It's wild how well it runs!!
@@SimonsPowerhouse Does the siren and horn still work?
Yes it does actually!!
@@SimonsPowerhouse Awesome could you video it next time you get around to it? would love to hear a vintage ambulance siren.
Nice piece of history 👌
Indeed!
Cummins with a 6 speed manual that would be a bad ass hauler
Nice work ❤️ 👍🏼
Thanks ✌️
Ok so i did a little research on it what i found out is every ambulance used for the milatary had that little engraving on the window but they used to have it colored the stare would be white then you would have red and blue stripes but when the vehicles git sent for civilan use the colors had to be removed also every vehicle had to be painted again you would find stuff like that on those old dodge power wagons. One more thing i also noticed the twg didn't look like a government tag which means she was used a civilan car the last few years of her life.
O hey keep making videos I always look forward to these projects like the Honda and Polaris I know the name but my auto correct won't let me put it
Now it's time for the pressure washer! Inside and out!
Those old engines will seize up and ruin the cylinders with no water in the block.
You can do 49 states. Get to Alaska through Canada.
👍🏻😎😊
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sand and tractor paint mint I'm your huckleberry🤧
So besides the rear ceiling welds you made, are there any other concerns for new structure welds you'd have to make? Especially for how long its sat and the weight of the ambulance.
Like would you feel the need to add any structure support welds to the frame to help strengthen anything?
Definitely am adding metal structure. It had a ton of wood. I'm going to replace everything I can out of metal. I will feel way way better.
Any chance of that getting a COYOTE and a paintjob for its next birthday?
I am leaning to doing a coyote with a while or procharger.
It’s a 3 speed and reverse u only got 2 shift forks.if u keep torqin on that harbor freight vise u gonna need a top. Reverse wood need another shift fork 1sts ina granny gear you’d be able to out run it at a crawl
It's a wilton vise, it will be fine....
Very cool old ambulance! Maybe I missed you explaining it, but do you have the large passenger side door?
yes, I do have the passenger door for it.
@@SimonsPowerhouse Cool, that would probably take some work to fabricate the sheetmetal to replace it!
Generator ain't spinning brutha.
That thing would be wicked with a fully done racing frame, roll cage, a crazy blown 454 on nitrous and a fully tubbed out rear. Race it on the strips and call it the Whaambulance.
Hopefully you just clear coat it and call it done.
Haven't fully decided.
No way, that thing deserves a lot more than that...
