Bro/Sis... Such a surprise to listen to a samba in a "behind the scene" of a symphony orchestra... And this samba here, if you don't tell us here, I'd become curious for the rest of my life. Thanks for the info. Here is the link to the original version: ruclips.net/video/RImp8CTab1w/видео.html
That's the best I ever heard of a contra Bassoon. Normally they hit growley notes. In the upper register it sound something like a Double Bass on Arco combined with a baritone sax.
It's the version by Agepê which is in David Byrne's compilation "Brazil classics 2: O Samba", I can't find the original version on RUclips but it's in iTunes. Don't know if it may also go by another name.
The most annoying instrument on Earth made that sound: the bassoon reed. And I play the bassoon, so don't get annoyed at me for saying this. Trust me, because I know what I'm talking about here.
Wow a perfect combination: contrabassoon, double bass and ukulele
just for latino music or jazz
It actually sounds great, I'm surprised.
I see it's like a baritone sax part.
Definitely the first time I've heard contrabassoon with ukulele! I need to meet a contrabassoon player now....
So wonderful to hear a Contrabassoon playing lyrically! Cute balance with the ukulele and clarinets too.
The name of the tune is "Ela não gosta de mim" and it sounded great on contra! Congratulations also on your RUclips audition, superb VonWeber!

Nothing beats live sound. Imagine the sound orgasm in the orchestra. Such nice instruments and all...
Any day RUclips surprises me with contrabassoon is a good day.
The song is called
Ela Nao Gosta de Mim

When i realize that wind sections of proffesional players are just older band kids
She really makes this video. To find humor in music, very attractive.
