Happy Birthday Remix for Bassoon Quartet! Check out the sequel: "Contrabassoon Birthday!"
There was a young fellow named Otto Who could f@rt like a contrafagotto But the orchestra pit / Started smelling like sh!t And he never achieved a vibrato.
back for my daily listen
How do we play happy birthday?! All we have is wind instruments? Ukele boy: FEAR NOT!
When i realize that wind sections of proffesional players are just older band kids
Просто бомба! Браво! Браво маэстро! Молодцы! Дай вам всем Бог крепкого здоровья!
Wow, very good!!!
What lovely thing is that?🤔😁
Let's have fun with this bassoon 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
So wonderful to hear a Contrabassoon playing lyrically! Cute balance with the ukulele and clarinets too.
The song is called Ela Nao Gosta de Mim by Agepê
Is that Sue Nigro?
Does anyone happen to know what orchestra this was?

Who is the principal bassoon now?
Contra bassoon ??
Any day RUclips surprises me with contrabassoon is a good day.
As God intended it should be
That is it. Amazing.
Definitely the first time I've heard contrabassoon with ukulele! I need to meet a contrabassoon player now....
When they started playing Besame Mucho I was like 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾!!!!!
What Orchestra is this?
Hehe I can’t wait to send this to my friends for their birthdays
I’m kinda switching from flute to bassoon, and I’m really excited!
How do you "kinda" switch? Either you switch or you don't. "Kinda switching" is like saying someone "kinda died."
Weiji Tao well yeah, I’m going to start learning, no need to be salty..
Good luck with your bassoon lessons, it's a wonderful instrument and you're sure to enjoy it. But if a musician said, "This is supposed to be an E, not an E flat," would you say, No need to be salty, I was kinda close?
you are amazing!
Me encantó
出だし好きっ 吹きたい!
i'm switching from sax to bassoon. my band instructor said i'll be the first one in years. lol (im in 8th grade)
+Hesayad Congrats! I'm sorry I'm a year late, but I just now found this. I started out on the clarinet, and at the end of 7th grade, my band teacher asked me to learn to play the sax (alto), because all of his alto players were moving on to high school and he didn't have anybody to play alto in the jazz band. So I learned to play sax over the summer between 7th and 8th grade. Then, toward the end of 8th grade, I was snooping around in the instrument room, looking at different school-owned instruments, and I opened up one case, and there were all these pieces of a big woodwind instrument. I called my teacher over and asked, "What is this?" He said, "That's a bassoon!" I said, "Can I learn to play it?" LOL His eyes lit up, he got a big grin on his face, and he said, "Oh yes!" He sent that bassoon home with me for the summer so I could learn to play it. I ended up playing it from 9th grade (at the time, this was a "junior high school", grades 7 to 9) through one semester at college. I ended up only being able to afford one semester at Washington State, and after that, no more bassoon, because I could never afford to buy my own :( But I hope you're still playing bassoon, and I hope you stick with it. It's a beautiful instrument :)
Rik Spanks Yea im still playing lmao, and in may I auditioned for a symphony my sax instructor told me about and made it into the top orchestra. I plan to stick with it. especially the scholarships that come with being a good bassoon player. lmao. I love it though, me and the other bassoon are one pf the firsts in years, and this is a really good orchestra with a good history
I'm in 8th grade and decided to double on bassoon, my hands teacher was worried he was going to lose his best saxophonist
Go for it. I started out on clarinet and then heard my aunt and uncle's Bossa Nova records and I picked up tenor sax in 6th grade. A few years later I heard Illinois Jaquet play "Round Midnight" on the bassoon. I have been a bassoon player, and contra, ever since. I played that same piece, Round Midnight for my audition into my high school jazz band. I got in. I picked up the Contra in my senior year and blew the audience away with Round Midnight and Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square at our year end concet. Years later I still got praise at reunions. And don't forget making your own reeds. Have fun.
I feel like the majority of bassoonists I've met started with sax too.. weird coincidence
Wow a perfect combination: contrabassoon, double bass and ukulele just for latino music or jazz
It actually sounds great, I'm surprised.
I see it's like a baritone sax part.
Was this the New World Orchestra?
I have sent this video to many of my friends on their birthdays along with the bassoon birthday video... Nice job!!
Those are the bassoon reeds
Beautiful playing!
Why do they always laugh of bassoons? :) On our orchestra too.
Thanks!!!... :-)))
She really makes this video. To find humor in music, very attractive.
That's not a penny whistle - it's a recorder...
fagote é demais e vcs entao muito foda adorei pra caramba
The most annoying instrument on Earth made that sound: the bassoon reed. And I play the bassoon, so don't get annoyed at me for saying this. Trust me, because I know what I'm talking about here.
Someone needs to serenade me like this on my birthday. :)
I like the bassoon...thats all
@Alpostpone Yeah, it was just him using his reed.
What instruments makes the squeaky whistle sound? Is it the bassoonist with his mouthpiece?
Yes
I miss bassoon!!!!!!
FANTASTIC! Really brilliant. Who are these bassoonists?
Beginning part of the happy birthday was horribly out of tune... But, regardless, loved the bassoonists! I play bassoon as well!
I love at 0:12 (ish) someone goes "Today's not my birthday"
I heard an altered Enigma Variation no.XII at 0:40! Nice but why did you guys change the notes?
@jwd0808 im pretty sure she did watch the videos she is not with the others but sitting next to the contrabassoon and double basses with a bassoon but I didnt see her playing
espectacular... o pormenor da palheta e depois do acompanhamento... brutal :)
Ballin contrabassoonist!
