Hi buddy
The engine is the LS2
Chevys LS 6.0
Came in GTO's, Older vettes, and G8's (and a few others)
Damn Daniel, didn't expect to catch you on here
Technically #Dickhead, it is an L77, which is almost the same as an LS3 besides the DOD and Flex Fuel. Based on the Holden Commodore, which is based on the same Opel that the Cadillac Catera was based on. They're going to have to start building direct injected AWD LT4 Skylines to keep this game up though. Badge them as GMC's and bring back the Syclone name. People would bite.
Dan, you're my hero.
Why did my comment disappear?
Pedohammad Are you trying to say that you don't keep an AR Rifle in the trunk or inside the car??? Most are doing that these days. Also I do know that a lot of PD' s ARE IN FACT emploting the use of Stingrays in THIER squad cars, in helicopters, in various open locations where Permanent stingrays have been found. Before you say that's bullshit,,, the ACLU has firmly filed a lawsuit against the LAPD for using them.
I really just want to sit in the car and play with the lights and sirens. Every thing is so interesting.
Forgotten Soul same
Forgotten Soul it's not that fun
Forgotten Soul I got to do that in police camp.
Nayab Warach I did too it's not as fun as people think it is, and I got to use the gun to see how fast people are going

"I'm trying to create transparency" - the reason why I subbed, right here. Way back at 15k, which was just a couple weeks ago. So happy your channel's blowing up man, keep it up, and thanks so much for doing this.
And a big thank you to all law enforcement, while I'm at it. I appreciate and respect your service.
Thank you brother!
What kind of drone were you using at the beginning of the video?
officer401 You crack me up I really like how why and what Your doing keep it up!¡!
Our counties cars all have the horn set as a manual siren that changes the tone for intersection crossings when code 3. Fun FYI.
If you want to know what engine is in a car- you can check the government mandated emissions or catalyst sticker under the hood. It has to say what liter displacement it is, the year standards it complies with (what year the car is) etc.
Thanks Brian! I'll have to do that. :)
I live in Tennessee, and two weeks ago the man who used to be the scoutmaster for my boyscout troop, who is now a member of the TBI, showed us around his car during the scout meeting. He showed us his body armor (and let us wear it, which was pretty cool), he showed us his m4, turned on his lights and sirens, and showed us his crime scene kit. Overall, it was a great experience and this video reminded me of that.
Thats a damn fine paint job for a Sheriffs car. I like it! My gramps used to drive a Dodge Monaco Sheriff's car, they've come a long ways.

Alfonso Tobias false . Camaro has 6.2 LS3
@@cjejsk3ojdm490 not all of them. the 6.2 was in the high end models, the 6.0 is mid grade, while the V6 is base.

Dude I love your vids. I just started watching your vids. and your already my fav. RUclipsr...Keep up the good work 😊....
great video. I also recommend ride alongs. it really helps to understand how difficult policing is. police wear many hats: protector, provider, social worker, traffic regulator, investigator, medical responder, etc. when I first started prosecuting, I didn't everything from fish & wildlife regulation, to speeding tickets, to serious violent crimes. that was hard work, even in the comfort of an office where I didn't have to worry about getting shot or run over.
and I rarely had lawyers quibbling over minor errors and inconsistencies in my work:)
I was expecting the intro to be it's the sound of the police
5:49 - are those burnout marks from you guys?
Jess476 lol
They looked pretty fresh
i dont think so, its not a drifting car
WackThat You can do a burn out in almost anything. Especially anything with that much power.
WackThat - yeah I could do a burnout in my dads Triton.
One of my first units was a caprice. I felt very squished in that car, but man did it haul booty. Got switched to a tahoe later on and absolutely loved the comfort of it! I'm no longer in law enforcement anymore however.
I’m glad you used this Caprice PPV for this video and this car was built and imported from Australia originally sold as the Holden Caprice.
Damn this editing is brilliant.
Thats a windows surface computer, not an ipad. They are essentially full computers..
Love the channel
Officer401 you are a good cop for showing us this alot of people don't get to see this. thank you officer401 already subbed to you, ride safe and may god protect you and ride with you.
I used to work as a detailer at a dealership. My dad is one of the higher ups there so he was my boss lol. He is also friends with many of the cops and border patrol (we're near canada). As a result, they would take their cars there to get detailed. I got to see the insides of them quite a bit and one time one of the officers let me try out some of the stuff, like the lights and siren in the parking lot and even drive it around the block under his supervision. It was pretty badass tbh. Port Huron police are really cool and friendly.
That's a Surface. Not an iPad.
Same thing, different software
Do you guys share police cars, or is it one per officer. And when you go of duty is it in use or just parked somewhere.
Good question. Depends on the agency. Neither of us "hot seat" (or share) vehicles
Do the cars come home with you when you go off duty or do they get parked else where?
I would assume that all department vehicles go back to the station garage because they are owned by the dept & it would also be a safety issue (for both the officer & the vehicle) to let a marked vehicle be taken home & parked out front, these cars cost tens of thousands when fully spec'd, department don't want to loose them.
If the vehicle is owned by the officer (like a sergeant or reserve officer) & was kitted out with personal funds (like the CVPI ChrisFix did a series on) then they're probably allowed to take them home with certain rules regarding their storage (this probably also varies by dept).
Gamers Creed cheers for the info👍
No probs, you're welcome! though it was mostly just educated guessing, I'm sure someone with more Law Enforcement knowledge or perhaps an actual LEO like officer401 would be able to give some more factual information.
So interesting!!! I've always wondered about all that stuff, especially the siren!
I appreciate your perspective on public transparency, unfortunately here in California....Thank you for being you, stay safe out there!
That's not an Ipad; that's a surface. It's a laptop without a keyboard; a tablet PC.

Hey!! Awesome vid! Met you when you came to "that" resort I work at, for your meetings. You told my coworker and I at the front desk, about your channel here. It's pretty damn cool! Didn't get a chance to talk (flirt lol) much because the phone rang! Will be watching now!! Thanks for telling us about your RUclips!!
Wow this such a good idea for a youtube channel!!! Cute Georgia accent Mr. Copper!
The iPad seems more of a "flashy" show-off type thing rather than something actually useful & versatile, I'm sure it serves it's purpose otherwise they wouldn't be in the vehicles but they are not exactly the most reliable things, the rugged laptops are much better and not tacky, though they do take up quite a bit of space I've seen.
*EDIT (for those too lazy to read replies):* We've established it's a Surface Pro Laptop & agreed that it's probably better for performance, reliability & useability, but it needs to be protected better (perhaps with a rugged case) due to the fact that the screen can break easily.
it's a surface pro laptop. super durable actually. Runs a full SSD, so bumps and drops really wont affect the internals too much. You're also getting up to 16gb of ram and an i7 processor... technically speaking it will blow a panasonic toughbook out of the water.
What Ezra said, but it's also just a useful tool to have a full touch screen, faster processing times, better 4G Connections out in the boonies, etc. Makes it easier and safer for the officer to use if they're in a hurry
It's a surface pro?... well that's much better than an iPad, it's still fragile & apparently cops are known for breaking the toughest of equipment, but yea it is definitely more efficient, user-friendly & has more processing power than a toughbook.
It's definitely an upgrade especially for dept's that are still using old toughbooks with vulnerable Windows XP.
Gamers Creed Very true. 90% of the surface is its screen, so I'd imagine it's fairly prone to breaking. I guess what you lose in durability, you make up in processing capability.
Maybe if they fit them out with rugged military grade cases like UAG rather than having them mounted all bare like that, at least then the screen has a better chance of surviving a fall due to a pursuit etc, though I'd imagine the mount is fairly secure unless the officer removes the surface from the vehicle to do something and then puts it back on but does not secure it properly.
Edit: Did a quick google image search of a UAG Surface Pro case and the damn thing almost looks like a toughbook with one on it xD
It’s not a iPad it triggers me so much for some reason

loving the Holden caprice over in the USA. Keep the good work up
By far one of my favorite police officers on youtube
officer 401 whats the different between a stat trooper and a sheriff
gta5 king State Trooper has state wide jurisdiction, while sheriffs only have county wide jurisdiction.
gta5 king take Alaska for example
State troopers (aka highway patrol) are concerned primarily with interstate and traffic work. Sheriff
departments are responsible for counties and cities that do no not have
their own police departments. But their powers of arrest for any of them
are valid throughout the state and as such they can issue citations
anywhere in the state. However, their paychecks aren't funded by people
outside their primary jurisdiction so they generally won't go fishing
outside their own pond. Gotta keep the taxpayers happy. But if they see a matter of immediate concern, such as a drunk driver while driving outside the city limits (as in the case of a local city cop), they can affect the stop and take the driver to jail as needed without their admin being upset.
One nice aspect of a state trooper is they can transfer to various locations throughout the state and stay with their agency and maintain rank and seniority. County and city are obviously limited to working withing their designated agencies confines. A transfer of agency generally means a loss of rank and seniority.
why do you measure the window thickness , or is it something else (not American)
Hristo Stanoev LMAO, it’s tinting not thickness
It a window tint meter. Measures light transmission. This one shows 34%.
L77 it's 8 cyl LS2 pretty much with active fuel management cylinder deactivation (4 cyl under light loads on hwy under 2k rpm) also can run on e85 ethanol
The front bumper is also useful to clear vehicles that are immobile. I’ve seen a cop In this area push a car to safety and out of traffic, with the assistance of another unit to control traffic. Not just for PITs.
why is tint such a big deal??
Hulkhogan503 im assuming officer safety, not being able to see what the driver is doing/is holding while on a traffic stop really sucks.
Hulkhogan503 there was a wanted man who shot down a cop and the cop couldn't see what he was walking into due to the tinted window
Because at night it's a lot more difficult for you, the driver, to see outside. Usually you can tint the rear windows a lot darker than the front. Every state handles this differently.
Colin McGinley why can't an officer simply order a driver to roll down all windows before approaching a vehicle. if the driver doesn't comply then the officer would be forewarned that the guy inside is up-to something. I'm thinking wouldn't that be better than walking up on a vehicle with no indication to alert on. just because you can see through the glass better doesn't make you safer from the pistol the purpose has hidden between the console and his thigh. your all fat dumb and happy thinking you don't see anything and the second you avert your eyes to oggle around his cabin, El bad guy the gunslinger whips out his smoke chucked and drills you a new soul hole. thanks, but I think I'll take the early warning by compliance alert.
I assumed an additional reason was because of cameras. If there are no cops around to catch them but they get spotted on camera, it won't do anybody any good if the windows/windshield were tinted and cannot see who was in the car.
oh my god this guy has a 6.0 in there :O!!!! that thing hauls ass omg
Koalafications4Dayz it's basically a G8
You should carry the little jr officer badge stickers because when I was little getting those things were THE BEST! Just put them in your car then when you have a little off time stop by a park or something and hand some out.
