  • This video is a battle of the light t-shirt transfer papers! I compare 4 different inkjet light transfer paper brands: Avery, Photo Paper Direct, Starcraft, and Nufun. Besides seeing how they each print and press, I also give them a wash test to see if they survive and not peel or crack! Hope you guys enjoy ♥

    been out of the business for about 20 years, decided to get back into it mainly for personal use cause I am, and apparently always will be a t-shirt and jeans kind of guy. Got a lot of the information I was looking for from your video, thank you for taking the time to share with us))

    Very good video, thank you! I very much appreciate that you covered the noise issue on the transfers. I can't stand a noisy shirt and I don't like the feel of that stiff/smooth texture on my skin when my arm brushes past the image. Next, I'm going to be watching your review on the transfers for dark fabric.

      i didn't realize til this video that some transfers can be VERYYY noisy and that's annoying lol.

    No big heat press yet 🙃 we can get Avery and Pen+Gear at Walmart so they’re the kinds we have used the most 🙋‍♀️ glad to see the other brands you test (Starcraft was in a try it kit I got but didn’t get to print my own design 🤨) hadn’t even heard of PPD before

    HI there really good video, I have a really good tip for hot peeling. To get the first edge up don't try and start it with your nail, instead stretch the shirt at the edge and it will give you a little bit that you can really quickly peel it with alot of leverage it comes out really clean. with hot peel the faster and hotter it is the better it will come out. Also the best light paper I found is Jet pro soft stretch transfer paper super washable.

      thank you so much for the tips !!! i've heard great things about Jet Pro. definitely have to try it out for myself ☺️

    Just watched your video today because I wanted to see if I really made a good choice when I purchased the NuFun. I was tired of my local craft store being out of their light transfer paper every time I really needed it, so I went to Amazon to find a new source. I read the reviews, but also went with them because the prices are a lot less than some other brands on Amazon. I use a LOT of light transfer sheets, and right now a 50pack of NuFun is $26.99. This makes it only 54 cents per sheet. Out of the 14 shirts I made with it so far, I only had to remake 1 of them and that was because I forgot to preheat the shirt before the transfer which resulted in the image lifting similar to your Starcraft shirt.

      i use these shirts to sleep and i'm still impressed with how intact the NuFun still is ! even with all my tossing and turning 🤣 definitely a great transfer paper !

    For printing what settings do you use? I have the Epson WF 7840 inkjet and Mine keeps coming out yellowish after press.

      i just changed it to "best". make sure to let it dry after it prints. just let it sit for a few hours just to be safe.

    Hello, do they last. I am new to this. Please advice, and would the ink be sublimation

    • @lucykiins
      @lucykiins  2 года назад +1

      for these you need regular inkjet ink. as far as it they last, each brand differs. also these transfers aren't meant to be stretched or else they crack so if you want something that will last a really long time i would suggest sublimation !

    i saw a video where ppd was peeled on cold. and the shininess i think is because of the silicon paper used after peeling.

    • @lucykiins
      @lucykiins  Год назад

      i went based off their instructions, but maybe cold peel is better 🙃
