Another great video Jason, thanks for showing all those little tricks. Also very cool of you to splice in part of the second video to show the top loading too 😊🙏
Another great video! I’ve had to cut the coil end off a standard spring to “retrofit” them to work with the t pins when a spring got lost. I’ve also had issues with those t pins dropping down too far and getting stuck down forcing me to dump them and reload when using a follower that has the recess used for checking for master pins. Wonderful series! Thanks for sharing!
I just literally had to do that 2 days ago. Didn't have any replacement Springs that I had to finish what I was doing that day and it was about to rain on me so I did what I had to do. I guess it'll hold fine right? I've never done it before then.
You bamboozled me at 5:25 haha. It looked so easy! I spent 20 minutes pushing on that retainer lol. Wasn’t until I went to another video that I learned I first had to pick the lock and rotate the cylinder :)
Great video. Helpful reference to replace the deadlatch on my F series lock. Everything works, but now I have to push on the exterior knob in order to turn the unlocked knob. Any ideas?
I remember the first time I exploded one of those cylinders. I thought I really blew it as it took me an hour to put it back together correctly. I’ve since got everything it takes to re-key those, even the blow-ups that you can’t find 😬 #lockforce
I hate it, but I've had to masterkey some of these locks. It still works but I'm always a bit wary because I'm not sure if they were tested by Schlage for that.

I got to play with a few of these, sure am glad I ordered springs, T-Pins and caps. Thx for taking your time to make this.

I wish these Schage doorknob locks were drill resistant just like the deadbolt locks.
All this with the "compressible cylinders" so Schlage could make a one piece knob to save a few pennies? What the "F"?
