🍗 Did any of you have to go to additional classes after school?!
Heck no I just got on the bus and went home.
yeah no i don’t think it’s a very filipino thing
Yesssss sometimes till 10 pm. And on the weekends from 6 or 7 am till 8 pm. Depending on the teacher's schedule, it is not as formal as in other countries.
and still managed to fail my first year in college.
P.S. I'm from Iraq still an Asian country but not what comes to mind when hearing Asian.
Yep! Almost everyday
And sadly I am still a failure after all of that
Yep, still ended up a failure
Jeanelle's side eye when he said he was in after-school prep until 8pm😂. Something tells me Jeanelle knows not the horrors of 18 hour school days😮.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thankfully, mpst Filos don't have to go to prep school (yet)
Wake up at 10am
Fuck around and study till 4am
Sleep at 5am
JEE days☠️
Mine used to end up at 9pm
What's the seasons you put in them
Jeanelle's expressions are everything❤

The fact that his sweater says "Merry Cluckmas" just makes this *chef's kiss* perfect
"i would be at class until 8pm" WHAT
All asian went through it
I used to go to high school from 7.40 am to 3 pm and then 4 to 9 coaching classes 😢
There's no way that's helping. Being fucking exhausted all the time is definitely gonna be way worse.
@@batt3ryac1dand according to parents you will go blind if you play video games more than one hour
@@nosheenkhan3068my schedule was 7:20am to 5:00pm and then coaching classes go from 5:00pm to 9:30pm 😢

This is one of the things I miss most about Taiwan, and is packed full of nostalgia for me. And it's not the Stalls at night markets that have the best ones either, just the vendors randomly on the side of the street on any given day.
That looks amazing, going back for New Year in Feb, and can't wait to have some again
Her horror at 8pm schooling was so relatable, bc what?! 😂
I thought he was high at first poor man is still tired from going to school for 16 hours 😅😂
Looks delicious 😋
@@chetanveersidhu753 wtf
Yummy.
I love that No Face soy sauce holder from "Spirited Away".
I live in Australia but I found this place called "Hot Star Chicken" which does Taiwanese fried chicken and it is SO good. I get it with their seaweed seasoning.
Oh yeah!!! Hot Star is quite popular in Taiwan too 😊😊
Taiwanese here! I love fried chicken! 😂 You did a great job recreating it ❤
You’re Chinese, stop being ashamed of who you are. No such thing as Taiwanese, it’s a made up ethnicity. Unless you’re indigenous to the island, which I know you’re not, you have no right to refuse your Chinese identity
yes!! the bigger, the better!
Definitely coulda used these when I was doing SAT prep these look amazing!!
When I lived in Taiwan I ate 鸡排 at least 3x a week. It's everywhere, super cheap and purely delicious. I'd get the jumbo ones at night markets. 🤤
Haha love the eye 👁️ look u have him janelle! Also I made your Machado recipe for my wife’s family (Filipino) and they loved it! Thanks for the help!
That's also my favourite snack when I was in Taiwan (Keelung), after work around 8 pm I will go to buy ji pai, milk tea and gua bao... I miss Taiwan food❤❤❤
In the Southern States we call that chicken-fried chicken, and it's usually served with mashed potatoes and pepper gravy
That spirited away toy❤❤❤
I had these in Taiwan I felt like they always tasted strongly of anise. And I wanted dipping sauce which they didn’t have, just spicy powder. My favorite Taiwanese street food is the pork sausage inside a glutinous rice sausage. Have never been able to find it in the US
@Yakitoriguy at the end was great.
I love the side eye she gave him
I made this tonight. It was really good. Thanks. I couldn't find potato starch so I used instant potatoes. It was one of the substitutes and It worked really well.
8 PM????!!!!!!
Ikrrr. I had the same reaction jeannelle had😭
in india it easily extends upto 9/9.30 pm
it's pretty common in asia
@@1234sasakiin a school I used to go to in Africa we stayed till 6-6:30
My brother has exams in 2 months. He's been studying from 8 am to 8 pm everyday during Christmas vacation.
You guys have such a great chemistry together
the childhood nostalgia!!!!!
im not even from taiwan and now i miss these
I am so legit jealous of the childhoos snacks of you and your friends--my childhood snack was cheese and crackers 😖
Was your family poor?
Her face when he said 8 PM!!😂😂 I love you Janelle! Looks delish!❤
I recently went to Taiwan, and I saw this as a street food. I tried it, and guys, I would recommend ❤
Such beautiful chicken
大鸡排has always been my favorite snack (i'm from 香港 if you're wondering)
This brings up what is considered a snack. Like a whole fried chicken breast feels like a center peice of a meal
Korean high school ends at 10pm usually... so... yeah, Janelle, I would like to reevaluate your Asian card😂
And I thought 7AM to 5PM was torture🫢💀
@@nanakorobiyaoki9191 In Malaysia,we have a thing called 'asrama' that only exist in middle school ( I think). You just signed up for it and you will live at the school for most of middle school. The school will only provide you bed, medical needs, sport stuff and food and you need to bring other stuff like towel, soap and more. We can only go home when it's the holiday, the weekend or when you got a very bad medical problem
We go to normal school at 6 am and end at 3 pm then, the teacher give us a free time for about an hour where we can do sport or study. At 5 pm,we will go learn some more stuff until 6.30 and then we will have another free time. At 7pm we will have dinner then some more learning until 9. After that,we have a time where we study for an hour before going to sleep.
One of my childhood snacks which I still love
Butter sugar/sandwich
I will cut the crust off the bread put a decent amount of butter, lots of sugar, smash it down with a rolling pan or a block, and it is so good❤
I love the nodding when you said “Asian kids get it” then immediately taking it back when you said “til 8pm” she was like “yeah no can’t relate wtf”
As a Taiwanese this brings back so much memories. I learned to make this to now even then as a 31 year old haha its still just as good as it was as a child
I never went to prep school, but we start school from 7am to 4pm, go back home to study some more till 11 or 12am or more, so I somewhat relate.
His voice is buttery.
So relatable bro!
After school then coaching and then come home to self study and complete hw
Then mom keeps lecturing to do ALL the house chores like other girls in household XD 😂
It's good now I will go to college this year
When he said 8pm, jeanelle's face 😂😂😂
THAT LOOK GOOD ASFFFF 😋
I miss that fried chicken!!! Especially when drizzled with so much chili Powder.

I miss this so much. Planning to go back in Taiwan and eating this again is on top of my list❤❤

Taiwanese fried chicken is sooo good! I really liked it when I went to Taipei
“I would stay in class till 8pm” Jeanell: WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT! WHAT THE HEEEELLLLL😱🤯‼️🙊🙀😨
Staying at school till 8pm is wild I had after school study rooms and clubs to but those would only last until 5pm on a school day that lasted from 8am to 2pm
In Malaysia,we only go home when it the weekend or holiday. The school just provide us bed, medical needs and sport stuff and we need to bring all the other necessity
