- For many years, the source of the haunting cave sounds in Minecraft have been a total mystery. But this mod introduces a terrifying new entity to the game- and when the cave sounds get louder, you know it's getting closer. And so today, I'm going to be trying to survive 10 days in a world with the nightmarish cave dweller.

Skeletons used to be able to miss, way back in beta/alpha days. They were fun to strafe around, as they'd miss and give a nice opening to attack back.
Modern skeletons are infuriating aimbot bullies.

I love how fast the cave dweller mod grew.
i hate it, can the developer atleast hire someone to make better textures?! the textures look way too basic for minecraft.

The nightmare version, I didn't watch any other letsplays before playing it myself so I can't tell you how different it is

Also please don't use shaders when you play this mod. It messes with the cave Dweller's animations

There are some aspects of the Monster that are... Lack Lusting.
For instance, it can't break block, can't climb, isn't stealthy... It isn't horror you won't get tired of after a few encounters. And the hype around the mod doesn't help to maintain that factor...
Some other mods, unknown, do manage quite well! Like Gigeresque, which I can't recommend enough. The beast there do climb, stealth, break blocks... It's truly an experience!
Yeah, this mod is definitely good… but it really isn’t that scary… my biggest complaint ever since it came out was that the beast just looks malnourished. I like my monsters to actually look scary when only seen by a picture… if i saw this in real life i’d probably laugh a little bit
If i saw this in real life I would run regardless, that thing is well over 7ft tall man, if steve is 6ft that is

The warden has a sonic blast it can do.
So just run as fast and as far as you can.
Also if you dont wanna fall in powdered snow wear leather boots.
The warden will sonically shriek if it is searching for you, but it's pathing is unable to reach you.

Lmao seeing squiddo with the update was me finally getting a recent version of MC after years of ps3 version-
- Shriekers are a priority to destroy (If you set it off, just go for the kill. the wardens gonna get you anyway, might as well get the shrieker out for when you return for your stuff), then sensors. cataclysts give you little light source, so unless you're trying to *stop* the sculk spread you can leave those be.
- Dripstone can be used for infinite lava! just make a little hole in the roof of some fireproof block, put dripstone under the block after you cover the lava, go down two blocks and put cauldrons!
- Powdersnow can be used as a secret entrance if you use quartz block countertops :) other than that, just pay attention to the texture. there's a difference- also, digging away powdersnow is much faster than digging normal snow (I think).
