I have had the Vivo X Flip 1 week and here are some of my likes dislikes and comparisons with the Oppo Find N2 Flip. I am enjoying the flip vs flip experience but it makes it hard to use both devices. I am still waiting on my matte screen protectors to arrive for this device. I give answers to some of the most commonly asked questions I have received within this first week of ownership.
Aa always I will make sure I follow up with more coverage and your questions answered after I have carried this device for a few weeks. If you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments below.

Nice in depth coverage for the people in the back who don’t how this process works on ordering imports! 👊🏿
Hey I do my best. Thanks for all your support on my channel.
Thanks, I think you are the first to put togher such review. I might also go got the vivo then.
As always I'm not finished. 😉 Thanks for stopping by and let me know if you have any questions!
Kymmi, went over ordeign through giztop and Wondamobile. Square Trade and Payments via PayPal. Also, went through Verizon's coverage. Ayyye, thanks for the shout-out. Great video. Super nice device.
Just in case folks need to know these things... I hear the information isn't out there so I felt it was my duty to cover these things, again. Thanks for watching sir and ANYTIME. It's all about informing people of their opinions.
@@GadgetGoddess Ayyye, well thanks again for doing this. Sometimes the ignorant have to be educated.

Great update to the phone. And huge plus that some phones now work on Verizon wireless. Great video as always. #1900 😂
Lol 😆 you are a mess sir. Thanks for watching 😁
I wanna look like Denzel. Lol. Nice one week update
Denzel isn't all that though. Lol thanks for watching 😁
Excellent review, It's really sad that you can't see the Google apps on the outer screen. I wanted to buy this phone but if I can't have the google store apps in the front screen it's not worth it. I hope you can find a way to see if it can be done. Thanks for this video....❤
For sure had the same issue on the Oppo initially but they fixed it. Hopefully it won't be long I like this flip a bunch. I will keep you updated though.
Thanks for watching
Love ur videos very informative love the vivo how can I get that in Jamaica
I'm unsure? Does giztop or wondamobile ship to Jamaica? Their customer services are very responsive I would start there.
Maaaam when ur blasting off on WHAT? 😂 Great 1 week update on ur experiences with the X flip. Folderella ain't playing no games lol

*Razr* *5G* remains the best-looking clamshell because it still looked like a RAZR before Motorola (or should I say, Lenovo?) copied Samsung. Had the most useful cover display by default. I'm typing from mine right now. No need for SamSprung or CoverScreen OS.
Most apps works on it except maybe Google Wallet and a few apps like Pluto TV and Tubi are worse when showing 4:3 content as it won't fill the entire screen. I find it weird because when running old NES or Super NES ROMs via Lemuroid or RetroArch, it will fill the entire cover display. The Razr 2019 was worse from being e-sim and Verizon-only.
I'm not interested in getting a third foldable flip phone. I want the book-style this time. I do think the vivo X Flip is the best-looking clamshell of 2023 (so far) better than the N2 Flip in design. I predict the foldables Michael Fisher will be using by the end of this year are the Google Pixel Fold and Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. He's finally ditching the Samsung foldables after 3.5 years.
I'm torn between getting the first gen Find N or wait for the Pixel Fold. The first gen Find N has more rounder sides that I prefer than the Find N2. I know the Find N2 is lighter by 40g and thinner. But I'm not a fan of the flatter sides. This is where Samsung was headed last year and I don't like it. Why I'm not interested in the Z Fold 5. You can get a Find N for $900 on Giztop. The N2 is $1.2K. I can live with Snapdragon 888 over 8+ Gen 1. But I do love me that faux leather rear of the N2.
Pixel Fold looks like the most exciting phone release this year for tech nerds. I have some concerns. I read an article in Dec 2022 that Google will see the sales reaction for the Pixel Fold. It's not guaranteed it will have future successors. And I think the Pixel Fold will NOT sell well. Not for $1800. Now Google is toying with the idea of a Pixel Flip by 2025 but it looks like they'll have a wait and see approach.
The most ideal Pixel Fold will probably be by the Pixel Fold 4. First off, I love the Pixel 8 Pro getting that thermometer 🤒. A gimmick but a useful gimmick. Nobody carries thermometers in their pockets. So the Pixel Fold next month won't be getting that and will get last year's Tensor G2 built on Samsung's inefficient 5nm node. By late-2025, we'll get TSMC's G5 built on 3nm. So 8 months after that, Pixel Fold 4 is released or perhaps it's released the same time as the Pixel 10 series in late-2025? Who knows by that point?
My worry is what if Google doesn't release any more foldables because what if they become sales flops? I highly doubt their first Fold will sell even 1M no matter how many RUclipsrs love it. And could Google copy what Oppo/OnePlus do? Make future Folds bigger and bigger? The N3 will pack an 8" inner display. So the Find N and N2 might be the last compact book-style folds. The Oppo and OnePlus book-style foldables possibly released this year will look pretty much the same.
I'm reading Sony might finally release a foldable flip phone and it will be smaller than the Z Flip 4. Sony is finally waking up! Flip phones remained popular in Japan for years. But I'm hearing it won't have a cover display if it's going to be that compact. A Sony foldable flip phone is the only clamshell phone that will be on my radar more so than a Pixel flip. I wish Sony released a successor to the PS Vita and Xperia Play. Using a Vita today still doesn't feel outdated. LiveArea UI feels way more modern than any handheld UI released during the last 12 years. Kudos, Sony.
Thanks so much for the comment. I think all the different looks with flips and their functionality are fun. The motorola and its classic look is fun but for the young ones that don't know anything about the older folds it is just another flip. Outer screen functionality is king on the motorola for sure because they don't make you do anything to make all apps available.
💯
Thanks for coming by Jason!
Good comparison! Howd you create the custom wallpaper?!
Thanks my wallpapers were a product of fivver
Thank you!!@@GadgetGoddess
No problem
Did vivo ever update this phone to let you install any app on the coverscreen? Whats your long term review on this flip?
I don't still have this phone. I don't like flips as much as folds. I didn't keep it long term.
