lmao I relate to this before falling into the rabbit hole, but once I got to know some decent to great vtuber personalities I realized it's not really the case for all of them. the Holo-EN literally came from a Japanese based company so it's not really a surprise that they speak a little or sometimes a lot of Japanese as they literally have JP audiences and JP co-workers and they try to cater to everyone's interests and to connect to their audience and JP counterparts. but if you just see clips and peeks of them, it's understandable to see them as a bit of annoying w/o context

Theres a vtuber called snuffy who used to put on a voice and she was afraid to use her real one after using the fake one for so long on stream they most likely feel pressure to put on that kind of voice during streams. She recently has stopped using the voice and everyone loves it :)

Ngl Tommy Ven here has the most possible logical explanation to Pewds stance on real vtubers in general, he know his fanbase will ruin vtubers fanbase even more after the flood of newcomers that doesn't know the rules (hating on certain vtubers after a "failed" collab, spreading hate words, spamming dm with threats, spamming chats with selfish requests), so he knows what he has to do, appear as not interested as much as he could while also neutral about it, so that his fanbase won't "attack" the vtuber fanbase while he himself might enjoy them silently from time to time

It still amazes me how many people think Vtubers are just anime girls and barely know Nijisanji at all, even in this comment section. Hololive vtubers are very cute and talented, idk other English vtubers, but Nijisanji has awesome people like Kanae, Kuzuha, Belmond Banderas and Machita Chima and many many more.
I agree to him at some part though, i watch a looooot of vtubers but i mostly enjoy are the jp ones and not en(both indie and with companies). I feel like some en ones are trying so hard to be cute, it is cute though but its not that genuine.

The ones that are affiliated with companies are a whole lot different because they are actually talented at something, whether it be previous streaming experience, multiple languages, gaming experience etc etc..

I'm totally fine with people being annoyed with vtubers and not liking them, what I hate is when they try to stereotype every single person that watches them. Because I for one am not an obese 40 year old man that lives in their mom's basement. Dislike something all you want, but don't bring down the people that actually enjoy the content. Cause at the end of the day, vtubers are people too. Yes, they usually put on a character, but that doesn't change the fact that there's a person behind that avatar. And no, it isn't pulling us farther from reality because I still watch the same normal content creators I always have, I just also watch vtubers now.

Theres a vtuber called snuffy who used to put on a voice and she was afraid to use her real one after using the fake one for so long on stream they most likely feel pressure to put on that kind of voice during streams. She recently has stopped using the voice and everyone loves it :)

As somebody who watches v-tubers, I completely agree with the fact that their fake voices can be really annoying.
I kinda actually prefer the Vtubers with unique voices like Subaru duck voice and also Okayu super chill voice to the ones that use cutesy voice, but I've watched so much anime I don't tend to notice the ones with cutesy anime voices and shit y'know?
