Yummo! As a vegetarian I adjusted it slighty and used plant based not-chicken and veggie stock. Fab-u-lous!!! Thank you for your channel and your great recipes.
I just recently came across your channel and the first thing that appealed to me was the soothing sound of your voice and your lovely accent. I was looking for an escape since I just lost my husband suddenly after 49 years together. Right now, I have no desire to even eat, but watching you cook such yummy foods seems to draw me out of my depression a bit. When the weather cools down and I am getting myself back together, I want to make some of the lovely stuff you cook. You inspire me to come out of my shell and move on.... wish I could have found your channel before my man passed. He would love so much of what you cook! Thank you for reminding me that life goes on.💖💖💖
I know it's been a yr since u posted this... But I wanted to say I hope u r doing better since ur loss, I loss my mother in Oct, 2020 and then my 13 yr old Son on Jan 27, 2021 so I know it's hard to feel much of anything other than the pain, and even tho u/me might want to give up that's not what they would want us to do so we keep going... I know u will never be ok but I hope it doing better..
I'm originally from Oklahoma and actually studied abroad for a year at the University of Dundee back in the 90s--since recent events spoiled our tentative plans to go back to Scotland this summer, I've had to content myself with this channel and memories of some very dubious early culinary experiments in my student flat...let's just say the only chicken pies I made that looked remotely that lovely came frozen from Tesco. ;-)
Texan and been to that beautiful country. It's wicked cold at night and a long day cycle I loved. Also the food as proven here is country and decadent. Love Scotland!
i live in the southern part of USA and you cook alot like we do in the southeast. we call it comfort food and pot(i don't Y) pies....i like watching recipes from other countries. i learn extra tips and skills. thanks for sharing..
I’m watching from outside Chicago. My mom’s family are Scottish way back in time. Scotland feels like home for me. I love meat pies, and any pie actually. Thanks so much for your channel. Best wishes.
I watch your content not only for your recipes but also because you are a lovely person😊 . You sound like a kind warm person. Make me miss my Scots family even more x
Thanks for your delicious recipes. You can 'fiddle' with the pies any time you want. I so enjoy watching your videos and seeing your lovely country. Hello from NW Arkansas!
Cheryl, chicken pies like these are my favourite, especially with a touch of tarragon. My mouth is watering already. Where I live, dinner is still a few hours away and I wish I had one of your beautiful pies to look forward to. Cheers!
watching from florida , also love seeing Scotlands scenery just beautiful ...i love your meals.. ive done some of them... very good ...keep up the videos i love watching you ...you make something outta nothing... ! how talented in cooking
Made these last night. They are AWESOME! Wonderful flavors. I only had 4-inch disposable foil pie tins and this recipe made 12 of them. I made them all up and cooked two for dinner. The other 10 I froze before cooking and will cook the same as store-bought frozen chicken pot pies when I get ready to have them. I can see that I will be making these a lot in the future so I can always have some in the freezer. Thank you for a great recipe 👍
Hello Cheryl, This looks DELICIOUS!!! I cannot wait to try this one. Thank You again, for sharing Your talents with Us. I am still watching from Box Elder, South Dakota, US. I love to learn your recipes. Thank You and God Bless You and Your Family. 😊🙏🏽👋🏼💕
Hello from Texas! Love your channel and can't wait to make these pies. I am not a big beef or pork eater so it is refreshing to see chicken pie recipes. Thanks!
I'm going to make some smaller ones in my muffin tin. They'll be just the right size for my great grandchildren. I enjoyed the visit to Dunure, it's many a year since I have been there Happy cooking.x
Hello Cheryl. I love your videos. Regarding people who don’t like you to fiddle with the pies; it’s your channel and you can fiddle with whatever you like. 🤣
It's boiling hot and the last thing I want to think about is cooking but I'm drooling nonetheless. That chicken bouillon looks sensational - definitely a step up from a chicken Oxo!
MonsieurLeWop you can purchase that chicken stock from Costco for about $8 Canadian. They also have beef and vegetable stock as well. They are all excellent.
@@gregorymckenna6609 Thanks for that, but unfortunately I'm in the UK and on Amazon it's hellishly expensive. This has prompted me to look for better stock options, though.
@@monsieurlewop Yes it is expensive in the UK and here too. That is why I sent it to Cheryl. But a jar does go a long way. I sent her the chicken the beef and the vegetable jars. It's worth a splurge!
These look delightful! I’m American and used to make this same thing is a large pie plate (or tin as you would likely say). We also call this sort of thing a pot pie. I’ve decided to make smaller ones like yours considering it’s just me and my husband now and will be checking Amazon for some small tins (I can see me also using them for individual fruit pies, yum! )Thank you for reminding me of these scrumptious pies 😁.
I love that you ride a motorcycle... your scenery is breathtaking. Ever since I started watching Outlander on TV, visiting the Scottish Highlands is on my bucket list. When you share your part of the world I am amazed at the beauty that you are blessed to live in.... what are the winters like there??
Hello from California. I am a new subscriber and am so happy to have found your channel. I love to listen to you narrate your vids and I love the food hauls and weekly meals. I am a bit of a voyeur so I love seeing a peek into others lives and what they shop for and what they eat. The recipes are a true bonus. Also love the bike travel vlogs. Many thanks, I'll be watching! Karla
These little chicken pies look so tasty. If they are anything like as nice as your steak pies were in for a real treat for tea. I rattle my brain for ideas of what to feed my family. Watching your videos has given me so many tasty new recipes to try.. I've got to visit Scotland such a beautiful place. Once again thank you. Very kind of you making the effort to share your lovely recipes. X
Really enjoying your videos. Thanks for all the effort you put in to making them. I'm one who is very disappointed when I come to the end of a cooking video and the cook doesn't show the inside of the final product. Thanks for showing yours!
From western Canada, another not just great recipe but I appreciate how you show a great simple way to put it together consistently. We love the local scenery shots it appreciated now we can't travel. By the way my wife finds it dear how you refer to Mr whats for tea.
Delicious. Another recipe to try the steak pies were lovely I have to make my own pastry as my husband is gluten free, even so we throughly enjoyed those pies. I am on SlimmingWorld too so it will have to be my treat day for these!
Looks delicious. Glad you left the wine oot:). It is nice to see Dunure harbor. I went there many times with my family. I am so glad I found your channel. Look forward to watching every week. I've been to your Tesco's with my cousin. She lives off the Whitletts road. I love Ayr.
I've done small pies like that but yours looks awesome. I think I'll give this recipe a try. BTW I took the bits of pastry that were left over after cutting out what I needed and just gathered it up in a ball rolled it out and either sprinkled cinnamon and sugar with dots of butter or jam all over. Then rolled it jellyroll fashion cut into 1 inch slices, placed on buttered parchment, baked them about 10 minutes, brushed with melted butter, sprinkled some course sugar on them while hot out of the oven. It made a nice snack.
