I have lancome idole, had it because my mom wore it all the time while she was alive. It’s now my favorite spring and summer scent.

Never trust a first impression. A well made fragrance needs to 'breathe' after opening and, as we know, requires time to blossom on the skin. The best test is to see if you still enjoy the fragrance after a 3rd or 4th (individual) application.
PS- the best fragrances for summer are the one's that do not attract bugs..lol!
PSS- Yes..that Idole bottle is a disaster and the frag is basic.

agreed on the idole! ive tried both aura and the original but i like aura more because of the salt notes :) feels more delicious. i love your videos, your voice is so calming and enunciated and the entire aesthetic/energy of your videos in general are really relaxing and positive!!

I love Yes I Am! Smells like high end makeup or lipstick. It was a love at first sniff❤️ especially the dry down, I wore it at work it held up for a good 10 hrs. Idole is a staple of my collection too my dumb reach perfume❤️
I'm glad you pointed out the Yes I Am have anise/licorice if is noticeable I would not like it.

I love most of these you mentioned. Especially cacharel yes I am and lalique Soleil. Yes I am isn't my favorite but sometimes I want to wear it. I call it my trashy girl perfume and the lalique Soleil is one I reach for in the summer because I hate coconut in perfume but this one still gives me summer/solar/gourmand vibes without coconut. It just reminds me of tanning oil
I don’t know if you’ve tried the Guerlain L’instant EDP which also a gorgeous bee bottle. I love the scent. The top notes quite powdery strong but the dry down is amazing. Like a subtle honeyed powder marshmallow scent.

Absolutely love idole 💕 I ordered the travel sprays of idole and idole aura on Sephora, ended up buying a full size of idole and next is aura and l'itense 😅 the perfect flirty scents for spring/summer

I love the Idole, but yes, the bottle kept me from purchasing it because it doesn’t stand on it’s own. I looked at iPhone stands in pink and wondered if one of those would work, because they do have some pretty ones..its a thought. 💖

It's really interesting what each one smells in a perfume. I've smelled Idole aura and to me it smells like shampoo or a body hygiene product. Perfect in its own way but not what I would like to smell like.
I've tried the original Idole. I love it and will most likely get the flankers. The others you listed I may try and see if I like them. Everyone likes different things. It happens.
Yes, Lancôme Idôle is an easy to wear scent. I love it!! I have Intense but haven't opened it yet, lol. And I want Aura. Glad you you like Aura.
Maybe if you don't love Idole edp, you can try with the intense version. I love the first one, but the second is my mum's favourite.

I love the idole bottle! 🤣 I think idole is a great all year round all occasion signature scent for people that look for that. It’s just a nice regular perfume and I get compliments on it. I like the intense too for the winter fall season. Aura I do not see the appeal at all.
But yes I can see once you have a large collection idole seems almost unnecessary. But I still have it and wear it sometimes. I wore it this week actually.

Yes I Am smells like Debbie Gibson's Electric Youth, which I wore as a kid. It's nostalgic enough to sniff in a pafumery, but not likeable enough to purchase.

I actually really enjoy Idole, unfortunately I don't have it but my mother does. I agree with you, the bottle is a little uncomfortable to have. I feel it looks really classy but it takes soooooo much space.

Could you maybe do a perfume list for young women? I'm almost 20 and have about 8 perfumes and when wearing some of them I'm always overthinking that they are too mature or not appropriate for going to university and stuff like this. It would really help.

I personally find differing opinions and subjective experiences of fragrances to be one of the most fascinating aspects of this hobby. If someone has a passionately negative reaction to a fragrance I love, I'm not going to take that as a personal insult, and their thoughts might allow me to experience that fragrance differently or maybe enjoy it even more.
I have yes i am and like it... also soleil dry down is not that gr8..but i just keep it for the bottle 😊
I really love the Lancome idole intense but have been putting off buying it because of the impracticability of the bottle, didn't know they now come with a stand, does anyone know if they are definitely doing stands now in the UK for this perfume?

I also like bottles but i am not buying a perfume or keeping one i dont like just for the bottle i am really happy i like my guerlain because the bottle is so pretty but i also dont do blind buys i cant afford to gamble 😝

I got several samples and Yes I Am was one. I actually liked the scent and wanted to order it...until I saw the bottle. Yeah, I'm not putting that on my perfume tray. They need to rethink that design

Girl, I saw this video and was freaking out about the ysl review. My mini bottle I ordered just got here and it’s so light. Fruity and light. I’m so disappointed :( feels watered down in a sense. At least for me it does.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t like these perfumes. Idole didn’t work for me at all, too soapy, a weird synthetic type of rose. Parisienne as well is not a scent for me, such a weird one.

YSL Parisienne is a love/hate for me. I love the scent, but this fragrance doesn’t last AT ALL. Like not even an hour. I was so disappointed. Won‘t repurchase it.
I bought a perfume sampler last year around Christmas time at Shoppers, and while there were a few nice ones or ones I already had (Light Blue, Black Opium), I ended up redeeming my voucher to get the Lancôme Idôle. When I had first smelled it, I thought it was pleasant but a bit generic. However, it really grew on me, and I ended up loving the rose-musk combo! I find it’s so pretty and lady-like 💁🏻♀️
i love idole for its clean and sophisticated smell, but i do wish it projected stronger. anyone know if the idole intense is better in this regard? 💗

I have ysl Parisienne. It was a blind buy and my God, I hate it. It smells like hair perm to me. I still have mine until someone wants it.
