Cumbre Vieja: Super heavy lava with olivine and crystal dots

- Examining lava from Cumbre Vieja Volcano. The lava is basaltic but more evolved lavas (phonolitic, which contain a much higher fraction of silicate) are common. The current eruption was reported to produce tephrite, a slightly evolved version of basalt. This volcano is very different from any of the previous four. Why that is is not clear.
Спасибо Рома и Нина за работу!
That’s really close to the lava this time😮
HEY GUTN TOG, please besafe My friend, your close to those gas piles , and i know your a man of knowledge with Volcanos , but accidents happen ok, Just besafe , your all we have
it really is shocking how quickly it breaks down from molten lava and in to rocks and gravel.
then soil and then comes plants
Wow! fantastic close up look at the lava!
Thanks for the view of the lava up close. It looks very interesting.
15 kilos? That looked like about 1litre. That's heavier than lead and it's got bubbles in it too. I think you are mistaken.
or he is like the hulk, lifting 15 kg with one hand like that, lol
He can guess the fish I catch any day of the week!!! I will have a work record in no time!!!!
Love you and Nina but PLEASE slow down the panning and give us a second or two to look.
(Watch Scott from ApauHawaiiTours, he documented the eruption in Hawaii in 2018 and still does. In fact, using a tripod and or a hand-held gimball would help your videographer skills. Lots cheaper than traveling or drones, just saying.)
Be well,
*James*
Where there's olivine there should be some peridot too.
Olivine is peridot.
It is peridot!!!!
Peridot is gem quality Olivine. Olivine is a mineral. 🥰
Perodotite
I sure couldn't see what you were pointing out. Either the camera was shaky or you were (which wouldn't surprise me). Also, I wish you had held the camera on any given spot longer. Thanks for trying though.
Wow!
I've been wondering about volcanic gems.
The prediction of the amount of ash that was expected is now ten times too small. Volcanos are impossible to predict.
How can you predict something you have no idea what's happening underneath you?
Roman, Happy you got to film the lava up close. Please brace your camera hand and the object you are shooting close-up the camera never stopped moving; the shot was blurry. Thanks as always and keep safe.
Maybe if your point at the crystals we could see them. I can't make anything out. Thank you for your reports.
Is it heavier than the lava in Iceland?
It's amazing what was once inside the earth is now on the surface. Does the earth replenish itself with more magma at the Core?
Thank u for sharing
Roman and Nina!...wow!
What Canary Island volcano let tourists ascend during the early '70s that had painfully sharp, brittle shards of DULL black rock over VAST areas with steam puffing up hither thither all around..? Learning about volcanology and all, it had altogether scared the bejesus outta my 5-year-old self..!!
Try a tripod for the closeup shots
Most of this lave is basaltic in origin but have you come across any obsidian formations?
Next stop? The Big Island of Hawaii?
Looks like lave rock to me 😳
Hope you find a nice souvineer!
The “crystals” is sulfur formed off of water vapors🌋
Much love and sympathy for all the terrible losses La Palma🤎💚❤️🩹
Wow what kinda Crystals is that silica wow that’s heavy wow ? My goodness be very careful
Maybe if you kept the camera still and didn’t move the lava around so quickly we would be able to see what you were seeing.
See if you can find where a road has been cut through an old lava flow. In the center of the flow maybe the crystals will be bigger. Bring some water to wet the rock.
Olivine is a kimberlite indicating mineral...diamonds.
😆THANKS!!!! I WAS WONDERING..
Big dreams!
What a peridiotic comment
You've got to hold the camera still for us to see the little details, brother.
@@sassylady2001 A tripod would do the job.
I knew it! You've got to be a geologist! I was wondering why they're letting you soo close to the lava. It only makes sense that you're THE guy to be there! Which also explains the often traveling. Good for you guys! You have an awesome life!
He's a amature geologist!! Geologist's don't have time to make so many videos, they have more important things too do!!!!
Geologist wear particular clothing and have specific equipment with them. Wow, you really are drunk.
Geologists are off in the lab analyzing the rocks and writing technical papers that nobody will read. GutnTog is filming for the masses.
@@HGCUPCAKES yeah I was drunk yesterday too. You made that dumb name up just for this comment. How's it working for ya?
@@HGCUPCAKES геологи носящие определенную одежду нас не интересуют, а Рома с Ниной прекрасные люди!
Having a hard time seeing the olivine.
WOULD BE KEWL TO HAVE A PIECE..WOW..
You might try rinsing a piece of rock off with some water, & then looking at it in the sunlight.
You are funny 😂 now your on it 😁👍
ooh noo
I'm a little less dumber than before I watched this video and read your description . Thanks GutnTog
Keep looking. You might find diamonds as well. Volcanoes often spew out all kinds of gemstones.
Once a virgin got blown out of a volcano!
👍👍🌴😎
🔹️ Silica ( quartz ) or silicon dioxide.
Dont breath that smoke ! Not good!
Tried dozens of times..I wish lava carried rifles..Bullets work..Smoke not so much until a few months at your annual check up.
I stick with good old indica in my lungs!!!
U like volcanos 🌋 yes are u going to go after them on every land
There might be a few diamonds in there too mate
OLIVINE PERIDOT IS THE SAME THING!!!
If you can find a diamond then you'd be rich
PERIDOT IS THE GERMAN NAME FOR OLIVINE.
How did you get into the exclusion zone!?! Don’t get yourself arrested - they’ll throw you off the island.
It's diamonds and gold quick every one run and start chipping at it :)
It is too bad that you never stop moving the camera or the sample long enough for them to show sharply enough. For me your camera work needs improvement, I like that you try to show us what is happening but it could be done much better with slower camera movements so that we could see the details.
I've asked for months and for some reason, he ignores me and others.
(In fact, I asked him why he ignores one of his first subscribers 'me'. He was around 400 when I subscribed and never, has he responded to me or gave a thumbs up. He claims to be a Christian yet he's judging my name like people do with book covers!) (SuperSportArthur)
Anyway, good luck getting him to slow down on panning and or zooming in, "See look." (In a flash of a milisecond)
P.S. Rememeber when he was complaining about his Iceland video views going down!?
Needless to say, I'm not the only one who notices and or have asked.
I saw a perfect dog head at 3:08, in the middle of the lower rocks below the wall. Could the animal have died there? It even seems that the dog's eyes follow us... wow!
at 3.13 it looks like a small human face, lol
🥴
Are you selling sample pieces of the Olivine crystal containing new lava? I heard that the older, thicker lava coming out doesn't have the olivine. I would like to buy a small piece with nice, visible crystals. I will pay generously for a nice piece!
Looks like aluminum
Found any diamonds or gold hidden inside those lava rocks?
🍌Roast some bananas...where is your Iceland spirit!
PLEASE hold the camera steady. From Iceland to La Palma your camera work is too erratic. Erratic videos are difficult to watch. Think about what and how you want to shoot first, then do it. Right now you shoot first and think about the shot as you film..
Olivine ...Madam Pele hair...in Hawaii volcano feed Madam Pele a bottle of whiskey to ask to stop lava flow.
"Crystals"
My man, you may be looking at diamonds...
Diamonds are usually formed by lava.
