You don't got it at all, just because you go in "all directions", confusion. Linguisticly, and semanticaly, the Alef means Causality (which stand first), it's a grammar tool in semitic morphology. So let the late shape of the hebrew letter or the lotery with numbers, and focus in a serious semantic study of the semitic language.
