Now they're at war
As a Hispanic with a Russian name I felt this
Here, I made an Anglicize version;
Kogda me bili na voyne,
Kogda me bili na voyne,
Tam kazhdiy doomal o svoey

Tam kazhdiy doomal o svoey

Kak ti kogda-to mnye lgala,

Chto serdtse devich'e svou
Davno droogomoo otdala.

Watching Patrick Lancaster on youtube cover the conflict in ukraine and him showing the women taking cover in the building while its being shelled singing these old Russian songs 🎵 made me understand why songs like this that boost morale at home and on the battlefield are so important while the men are fighting on the front lines.
Your songs are beautiful even tho I can't understand them I can FEEL THEIR IMPORTANCE even tho I do not understand the language.
Anyways I just wanted to share that because thats how I got here 😊
MY HEART IS CRYING. Spasibo.
I don't understand Russian, but this is cool. I like the flow, tone, etc. I just like hearing foreign folk music.
