I nearly went to war. Because my beloved broke my heart. And this song perfectly describes what happened to me. I understand exactly how the soldier singing feels. Particularly "how you lied to me when you gave your girlish heart to a lover anew"

really good and well made as well as there is finally an english version. my only issue is im too used to hearing it at a fast pace but as far as the song goes its still very well made.
This song is russian. But it fits many if not all countries. A song of warriors hoping for their end after their dearsst lied to them and commited one of the worst things someone can do to another (that isnt illegal).
The Russian woman is fucking another guy hoping she gets the payment when her husband dies, the Ukrainian woman is the one making sure the russian woman gets the payout.
Something about this sounds very Anglo-Saxon in a beautiful way, and not just because it's in English. Something about the tune and the voice itself seems very "Old English" and honestly sounds like a song of its very own.
In this song I personally felt the gloom and hardship of the so called war which nothing but murder unless you are defending your right to live. My dearest respect for this song to you.
I listened a whole day while working to Russian army girl singing this song and then this one popped up and I got goosebumps because I really love this song and I knew the meaning kinda but now it's very clear and it's so emotional
This is quite the catchy one! It is more of a somber type of song, rather than the upbeat/traditional or the patriotic versions of the song that I've heard! It definitely makes itself a image of it's own. Good music is good music, regardless of Language; so don't mind the trolls
Nie spodziewałam się, że piosenka słowiańska w języku angielskim może brzmieć tak dobrze i naturalnie. Brakuje tu dynamiki ale tak wyszło świetnie. Congratulations:)
This song is a very popular Folk Song in Coyorsland and Durostan, There's two Versions for the Dunters. The Romantis/Mukazira version about a soldier telling his Love on Radio how the Battle of Mukazira went and how much he loves her. The Volunteer version is about a Soldier being led astray and he goes to Durostan to fight in the Civil War there but he gets caught up in the Battle of the Grey Gods and so he gets on a Radio with his favourite friend and tells him how grateful he is for being beside him. The 2 have very sad Lyrics but excellent beats
This clip is great, no doubt about it. The only nitpick I would mention, is that during WW2 segment, it should have been called "The Great War of our Fathers." "Вели́кая Оте́чественная война́". But I understand that nobody but russians call it that.
As someone who spent 15 years at war (USMC 3/4) , just end it now it's not worth it. You are more powerful than your government, they only send the poor to fight a rich mans argument. Those brothers in the trench are not the enemy the people who sent you are.
