I never would’ve guessed fuckin GORGUTS to make an appearance here and I am incredibly happy. Really feel like Hate5Six has been a melting pot for all kinds of genres and music scenes. And it never felt like that was intentional, you just wanted to film some cool hardcore bands, and it grew to something so much bigger. You guys are doing incredible work!

Most important band in my life after Death for me as a guitar player. NEVER in my wildest dreams did I expect to see them play these songs in this quality. Cant even put into words how much this upload means to me.
It goes without saying how awesome it is to once again see these guys take to the stage. Such a strong lineup and they absolutely nailed it! It should be acknowledged though how awesome it is to see Colin handle the viola parts for Earthly Love on synth. In an age where so many bands rely on pre-recorded clips to play live for the "unconventional" instrumentation in tracks, it's really refreshing to see this kind of take. Hell, I fucking loved that synth overall, what with those droning interludes and the mad intro. For that little section of Earthly Love in particular though it was a real nice touch which helped add a new dimension to the sounds. It's the little things that count, people!
Either most of you guys didn’t really watch the whole video or you were so enthralled no one noticed the big audio problem from 25:15 to 36:15… 😜Having said that, epic performance of course! 🤘🤘🤘
its called full storage you genius, and thats where you put in a room mic from maybe a smartphone until you got the card or hard disk problem solved. Its likely recorded as a wave or above thats plenty of gigs full in a short time.
Funny you pointed this out. I switched earbuds during this section, seemingly perfect timing, and I thought the video actually had mixer audio on the left and ambient room audio on the right.
Mannn fuck. One of the few bands i just couldn't bring myself to mosh to for fear of missing out on watching this actual group of legends perform their ritual. Eternal hails.
I am old & on the wrong side of 50, but it makes me smile to see these gray-beards & old heads still entertaining all the kids in 2023. Gives me hope for the future that these kids are gonna be all right!
I've had the pleasure of watching a lot of older bands come through my city this past year. Atheist, Obituary, Immolation, and Vader. They're still great! Cool to see really young kids being into them too.
Just got to see Gorguts in San Diego. I’m 50 years old and been listening to them since the early 90’s. First time seeing them live and damn I’m so stoked. Been a band that was a must see for me. The fact they are still playing at this level is just awe inspiring. Fucking love these dudes.
Gahhhhh - these guys are tight, tight, tight! Death Metal really has aged well and gracefully! Something which can't be said for many other Metal genres...
Started the pit for this one the moment I heard the baseline to Rottenantomy which I wanted to hear live FOR YEARS!!! Absolutely greatfull this set was recorded to relive again. Thank you
Extraordinary band! Musical construction that runs away from sameness. Musicians who master their instruments. The technical staff are also fabulous and a participating audience!! Congratulations from Brazil!
Fantastic footage. If you could create a playlist for your death metal recordings, that would be highly appreciated. Thanks for sharing all this amazing footage!
Super fucking rad to see under ground death metal royalty like gorguts on here. I totally love seeing other styles of music getting exposure in the hardcore community 🙏
Considered Dead will always be my favorite album from them. Remember when i was a 11 years young listening to Gorguts for the first time. 14years forward still love their music.
This video is so special. First time I see Subtle Body being played live, plus Kevin lays down a solo on par with the original one by James Murphy in Inoculated Life... it is a shame what happens to the sound at 25:05... Guys from @hate5six, is it fixable?
Man I'd love to see these boys! And they've been playing Bodily Corrupted! Goddamnnnnn! The tours in the US are just unfair! Cannibal Corpse Gorguts AND Blood Incantation??? I want to see ONE of them. Dying Fetus did come here earlier this year though!
I met Luc back in '98 at a show in Atlanta. He gave me the set list, signed it to me and drew skulls all over it while we talked. I have it framed and is one of my prized possessions :)
I’m so glad to see a minimal amount of people shooting stupid useless vertical video with smartphones and many-many of slamming dudes! Old school! Old school not just on stage but also in crowd! Gorguts is amazing, hope to hear new material soon!
Man, I saw them on tour for the Considered Dead album with Cannibal Corpse and Atheist in Milwaukee. I was 17 in the bar....So cool seeing the old jams.
Awesome and kicking total ass. Just sad that the trigger got disconnected during and around 'Subtle Body'. Out of all songs haha. But you can always pick out the parts in the chaos of course. Thank you for Deathspell Omega as well as the rise and appreciation for atonal and non-generic extreme metal, Luc!
^ What are y'all talking about, the old stuff sounds perfect the way it is. A different sound would not do the compositions justice. Erosion of Sanity and Considered Dead couldn't be produced better for the style of death metal on those albums. I understand it's just a preference, but those albums don't even remotely sound bad in their original production style.
GORGUTS?!?! did not expect to see some good ol death metal on hate5six.. thanks sunny!

Awesome setlist
EARTHLY LOVE goddamn
Holy sh*t they dropped almost the entire first side of Obscura. 🤩
Nothing from Erosion??? 🤔
Its good to see an oldschool set list, really sad i was not there 😢

To that sentiment, Dying Fetus recently played at some festival in Florida among a bunch of hardocore bands, and the crowd was insane.
Gorguts was sick! Such a good show.
Did you happen to get Mizmor's set?
Holy shit Jon wyd here? Love your drum videos
Went from covering smash mouth to listening to Mizmor.
Good taste my friend. Best tech death band ever conceived.
The Smashmouth guy likes Mizmor? Holy shit, what a time to be alive. Awesome.
Luc Lemay is a Death Metal JUGGERNAUT. Killer guitarist & composer and an OUTSTANDING singer, criminally underrated. Mad Respect
Underrated by who? They are considered LEGENDS.
@@Hell-Awaits please read carefully: what is UNDERRATED are Lemay’s VOCALS.
Outstanding singer?😂😂😂😂
Mr. Lemay is a living legend in the world of death metal. There aren't that many guys like him left and he is by no means taken lightly.
Also a true gentleman, super cool dude.

seeing this band in hate5six recording quality is a blessing
If you can some how manage to film a Malevolent Creation and Obituary show in the near future that would be sick as hell. Seeing this is amazing.
Jeez what a performance. Shout out to Krallice as well.
I was listening to Obscura all day, then i realised its the 25th anniversary, then i found this video. This is a good day.

the production value on a lot of these videos is insane. this is the best gorguts footage I've ever seen, hands down

Considered Dead is a bonafide classic. I jammed the shit out of it back in the day…still do.
Same here! 🤘🏼🔥🔥🤘🏼Still have my cassette copy!
Seeing them use Ampeg 140Cs again warms my heart.
Paul of Blood Incantation told me those are the very same ones they recorded Considered Dead and The Erosion of Sanity with.
I saw them Wednesday in Dallas and they were rocking the ol Vh140c's. Sounded killer! Made me drive home and immediately hook up my 140c!
Seeing them live next month. This recording is fucking sick
Saw em with corpse grinder and Mayhem in Deep Elm 🤘was freakung Awesome
