It's due to the One R only has neutral color profile (which needs adjustments on editing software to get the color you need). While the One X2 already uses the vivid color profile to make it a ready-to-use footage (neutral color profile also available).
1:00 Wow, very nicely done with the stitch line directly compared! I was looking for that! Also, you did it at varying distances, too! Bravo! Though I do wish you hadn't cut it right before it crossed all passed (vs. just touching it at the beginning) your face at the longer distance comparison at 1:41. Doesn't matter, you've helped me make my decision for the X2 vs. the RS. Thank you. Question: Do you think the X3 is coming out this year, or care to venture a guess when? Edit: Your "Insta360 ONE R vs ONE X2 audio Comparison" has a lot of direct stitch comparison, too. Awesome!
Hey Luke, great comparison, I have the OneR Twin Edition, in your opinion why does the OneX 2 have better quality, is it a better sensor or something else, I'm just curious.
The One X2 most have a slightly better sensor in it because the one R has way more blocky artifacts in the video. I wouldn't say it's a big enough of a difference that you should upgrade from your one r but for those people who haven't bought a 360 camera yet I'm recommending one r
@@LukeEdwin the newer tech is always an improvement even if only slightly, I still think the OneR is the better value for the price with the dual screens, maybe I just want validation for my purchase 😂 thanks for the reply Luke
I am a new subscriber and I really like the way you explain the videos. I am looking for a camera to film me playing goalie in hockey during games and also practices. In your opinion would you go 360 or 4K mod?
O definitely 360! If your ok with only having a 360 camera I would recommend the insta360 one X2. The more I use it the more I realize just how much better it is then the One R. Unless of course you want to be able to interchang the lenses.
@@LukeEdwin Thank you very much for your reply. After watching a few of your videos, I realize the 4K seems to be good for vlogging as opposed to action, and I don't intend to do vlogs. I will watch more of your videos to see if I can find mounting suggestions for different types of recordings, hopefully I will see a suggestion on where to mount to film me in nets. Thanks again!!
I know the one R has the 1 inch sensor so it’s better for night video but is there really a dramatic difference from the one X2? I have the one x2 and I wanna ust it to film my car at night and stuff like in a city or something not where it’s too dark what do you think? Should I return it and get the one R?
The problem with these cameras is that they are only usable outside in full daylighton sunny days. Try using them when the sunlight is not so bright (and i don't mean at night or even evenings) and you immediately get a lot of grain in your videos. Even indoors when the room is lit you get grain plus artifacts coming from lightources (blinking, cause of light frequency). I had to return mine since paying almost 500 EUR for a camera that produces usable video only under specific conditions is not worth the money IMHO. And I do get that it's 5,7K spread around 360 degrees but I feel like most of the videos on YT are paid ads since they don't mention this aspect at all, and most of them are shot in full unobscured daylight

How about in the dark scene's?
That's the only thing I care about but reviewers neglect that so much
Could you compare the Max to the OneX2 after the new updates of the Max and that its windows software has finally released ..??

For travel and RUclips which one do you recommend? One R or OneX2?
If i could only have one of them it would definitely be the One x2
i just really love your videos!!!! they are sooooooo great!!! and the cameras are great too!

Hi Luke, I wish to find out if the X2 overheats like the One R?
I haven't had a problem with either of them overheating
@@LukeEdwin I was trying to film with one R for 40 min and then it overheats
I really like these cameras

I would keep the X2
im back to this video. please make stitch line comparisson on the new insta360 one RS and one x2 please.
The new RS is still still this same 360 lens nothing has changed
@@LukeEdwin thanks that's also what i thought since size didn't change at all. Thanks.
X2 definitely stand out. However, regarding the audio which one is better? Planning to use it for vlogging.
The one x2 is better. Check out this video - ruclips.net/video/Tbb9UvI74nE/видео.html
I’m surprised that you did not turn your one R you into a X since they added the vertical battery mod to it
Do you think a new 360 mod will come out soon for the one R to have the same quality as the one X2?!
Great vids! I love 360 cams
Great comparison between one r and x2
Kindly make a video on steady cam mode

Both are waterproof ???

@@LukeEdwin i can't decide which is better ...and i travel a lot .. can u help me more
Voice recording comparison would be interesting 👍 thanks for nice videos 👍
Here is the video I did for that - ruclips.net/video/Tbb9UvI74nE/видео.html
Does the one x2 indicates when it is fully charged you know???
I am not sure. I always plug it in at night and leave it
what about audio quality?
I did a video for that because you asked - ruclips.net/video/Tbb9UvI74nE/видео.html
@@LukeEdwin Response to requests. Good stuff mate
Thank you very much
One r looks like 720p and x2 like 1080p.
as a matter of fact, the colours and brightness look better on one R.
Sorry I'm late but new vid woooo
Who are the GoPro guys here !!
Hey 'chopper'...stitch lines? ..no no.. watermelons? yes lets get back to chopping stuff...
