Doesn’t amazon only give the credit and 20% off only after the trade-in device has reached and been verified by Amazon ? So should you do that way early before prime-day to have it at sale time then?
I wasn’t eligible either for the photo things *sob* I use Amazon photo for prints and what not, so that’s why I couldn’t get it. Only first timers get the rewards. Not fair. But I guess that’s so Amazon. I think I’m going to pass kindle devices this year. I thought of getting one for my son but he’s not fully ready to go digital yet. Maybe next year, hopefully. He’s a bookworm, more so than I am, so I can’t wait for him to go digital. He could save me a lot of money by reading Amazon Kids+ titles on Kindle.

Dylan, please help out a newbie. How do I sideloaded ebooks onto a kindle? I'm getting the kindle paperwhite 11th generation 2021 model. I have never had a kindle before. I have calibre. Do I just use that? Also, what format should I use since amazon are withdrawing support for mobi and azw?

**Update to my previous post, after I signed up for a free 30 day trial of Prime and tried the trade in option again it did give me the 20% discount immediately plus the $5 gift card! Give this a try. 🤞🏻

Ok I wished I watched this before I purchased a bundle for $167 it’s was 32 GB paperwhite signature, the wireless charger and case. Isn’t that a good deal? I didn’t want 32 gb I certainly don’t need it but I thought this was good. Thoughts?

Hmm… good question. I don’t know for sure, but I would think that it also determines prices/availability of books in addition to books in different languages? Not 100% sure though!
The 15 dollar credit for using Amazon photos only applies if you have a paid amazon prime subscription. This is specified in the fine print. That means if you are on a trial you wil not get the credit. I think you also won’t get the credit with a discounted, say, $1 for a week subscription, but I can’t say for certain.
