Thanks for the guide! Set up everything as shown but it looks like there is an issue. When the system is connected to my cell phone via bluetooth, the mic doesnt work for the office phone. I can answer and end the call just fine, hear the other person, etc., but they cant hear me on the office line. Works just fine if i disable the bluetooth option. Thoughts?

Some phones like the Interquartz IQ750EHS or CISCO 7942 have an optional data port that allows the Plantronics Savi or CS series wireless headsets to control the telephone. This seems to be a guide on how to install the headset on an older style phone with no EHS support.
I have two 740's and would like to connect them together for training purposes. One should be able to just listen and be muted, while the other does all the talking. Is this possible? If so, any instructions somewhere I can follow?
Can I pair the device to my phone without the savi base? I trying to connect without it. All I have is the Bluetooth and Charger PLS RESPOND
We have an office phone - Vodavi Infinite IN-9015-71 that has 4 phone lines. If we get the Plantronics Savi W740 and HL10 - how will it know what phone line to pick up? If we have to manually select that, I don't see a need for the HL-10 as we will have to be near the phone anyway to select the line. (We could have 2 lines ringing at one or 2 people on 2 lines and 2 lines free for us).
Our office just previously purchased the Plantroincs W740. When answering the phone we can hear a dial tone and also the patient but the patient can't hear us. Anyone else had this problem?
You may need to adjust the compatibility slide switch for your phone or turn up the microphone volume. Both settings are located on the left side of the base, behind a drop-down cover.
Well done except that it did not tell me what I needed to know about getting it to work on the computer.
phone rings; click on headset button to answer; base computer light is on; press base phone to answer by then I have missed the call. Is there a way to default to the phone first then the computer?
Yes. From the manual...
Change your default outbound line:
This feature sets the preferred outbound line when the headset call control button is pushed
while all lines are idle. With the system idle, you can change your default outbound line by pressing the desired
outbound base button until it flashes green four times.
You can also change the default outbound line using the Plantronics Control Panel by going to
Start > Programs > Plantronics > Plantronics Control Panel > Device Settings > Base.
My computer will not recognize my Savi 740 via bluetooth for some reason (apptly, not the only one in my office with this issue). Really frustrating. All my con calls blare out over my laptop's speakers rather than my Savi. Why is this happening?
When you plug the W740 into your PC, it should download drivers and become usable. On occasion you need to set it as the default device for audio within you computers sound settings. If it still doesn't work, download Plantronics HUB program and install to correct most issues. www.plantronics.com/us/category/software
that is not how you make that connection. use usb cable from savi to pc. then change pc playback device to savi. make sure to push pc button on savi to hear audio.
How can I listen to music?
WHY IS THERE NO LIST OF ACCEPTABLE DESKPHONES or LANDLINE PHONES that work for this headset. This is IMPOSSIBLE to find a deskphone that works with this thing!

You didn't place a lifter on the phone, so you cannot remotely answer a call isn't it?
