This was one of my favourites from the second semifinal. We are fortunate to have translated subtitles in the live performances here in Finland, and in this song, it really matters. I love the traditional instruments.
Greetings from Estonia. Pronunciation was very good. Instruments are called Talharpa, in Estonian Hiiu kannel. Last time in eurovision when Estonia was with own language song was in year 2013. Artist was Birgit Õigemeel with "Et uus saaks alguse". I was happy if they won because it's been a long time since an Estonian-language song at Eurovision. Some people thought that was bad, but still we are in the final.
You are totally welcome in Estonia! Greetings from Tallinn! Btw. Your prenounciation in Estonian is great and the instrument is called Hiiu Kannel in estonian and Talharpa internationally :)
This was cool 😎 The only problem was that we couldn't hear Lancelot at all! At 8:40. The group said that this morning, during the reheasal for the final show, the same problem occured, as if it was intentional... Don't know what to think of it. Let's hope no issues like that tomorrow 🤞
In Estonian Twitter people are speculating that it was intentional. Lancelot might not be either too good at live singing or he had some problems with his voice.
Hopefully the sound team will get that fixed for Saturday. I love this song as an entry because it gives all six singers starring roles, and the duet between Ramo and Lancelot is both their one moment to sing lead vocals. As much as I like Ramo - because I'm a new Puuluup fan and because he's screaming out his lungs during this climactic last verse - that verse works so well because Ramo's and Lancelot's very different vocal styles clash and combine here.
@@HerrHaque I just found an article where they talk about it. Here's the translation: " When the men of 5Miinust and Puuluup were asked in the first hours of Friday why Lancelot's part was not heard through the TV screen, the men could not explain it in any way. I don't know if the silencing of Lancelot is on purpose or not, because in Friday morning's rehearsal, once again Puuluup's Ramo Teder could be heard clearly in his verse, but the rapper's voice came through only gently."
Fun Interesting Fact though: in one of the audience members' videos, the sound guys could be clearly seen dancing to the song, so someone suggested maybe that's why Lancelot's sound was off, but if it happened that morning too - ? - at any rate, great song❗ 😎👍 🇪🇪
This was my favorite song! When the artists were announced for Eesti Laul I was already a fan of 5MIINUST (yayy! finally @ Eesti Laul!) (they had performed as an interim act previously - amazing) and had heard of Puuluup and the juxtaposition of rap and folk was very intriguing and theirs was the first song I checked out when they were released. Not disappointed! Very impressed! 😊 Also in one of the interviews they mentioned some kind of "strong" homemade moonshine which had "medicinal" properties which if they were imbibing it could have had an effect on their vocals is my theory anyway. 🖖😎 Great pronunciation btw! 👑
I think you’re my favorite ESC reviewer this year 😊 I agree with majority of your opinions on performances in semis, and your taste in this year’s songs
Holy shit. its so cool that somebody is interested in Estonia cuz for a local it seems like such a boring place, but this song. at first i thought it was quite mid but the more i listened to it the more i liked it
You made good with last word which transates to "nothing". For info it translates to : We dont know nothing about (these) narcoticums And when You sang along You did a very good job.
Well, all the "juries" had to vote practically the same for some reason so it really wasn't a reflection of the actual songs in the contest, and how Joost got conveniently booted out? It was a shitshow. Most people thought Croatia should win. But Estonia ended up getting 4 points from the "juries" in the end. Finished 20th.
I have certain opinios as to this song. I'm a great fan of Puuluup, the blond guy Ramo is my schoolmate and Marko, the bearded guy just exudes Big Daddy energy. I think it was a mistake to include 5- bunch of idiots in the mix, Puuluup would have done just fine on their own.
Do not confuse 'anti-smeitism' with 'anti-g3nocide'. Nobody cares that you are Jewish, but everyone cares about the fact your government are turning in to the very person that they curse daily for doing to them what they are now doing to others. Europe doesn't love you. The Jewish diaspora who aren't against the g3nocide love you. Get it right. Thank you.
@@EurovisionFan91 just my opinion ,bearded men so called dancing, like they just killed a wooly mammoth ,gets off a cruel, rural vibe ,too unrefined for me .

Hiiu kannel calls these instruments in Estonia.
Talharpa -in Swedish.
Sofia Joons hiiu kannel - it is another example in YuuTuube.
Fun fact: The instruments are made in Finland
I dont understand how they got no points thats a banger
