War photographer Lynsey Addario talks about being kidnapped in Libya by Gaddafi loyalist forces and held hostage for a week. Having photographed war, death and destruction all over the world, she arrived in Libya in February of 2011 to photograph the beginning of the Arab Spring.
Having risked her life to travel into a conflict zone, Lynsey was among a group of journalists who were kidnapped by Gaddafi loyalist forces. While she was held hostage for a week, she was sexually assaulted and wondered if she’d ever see her family again.
Lynsey gives us an intimate insight into the devastating reality of the revolution that happened across the Middle East, using her photos to build up the sense of chaos, resilience and human loss.

They have been dumbass they’ve covered the migrant situation(although it was one sided) and put videos on Libya in how the revolution fell apart and such
VICE already did one video about that, although your demanding for more than one documentary about it. And Libya have not managed to stop it's war since everyone can't decide to either support the Tripoli based Government or Khalifa Haftar one.
There are lots of videos about Libya today. Go check that yourself. Beside that, you could probably learn some history so you can understand why the people were rising against Gadaffi in 2011.

I assumed the State Department stepped in and brokered your release. I'm glad you were freed. This is a journalist willing to put her life on the line-but not tempt fate. Remarkable, captivating photos. Thank You. P. S. Reminds me of Marie Colvin or Daniel Pearl. Thankfully Bob Woodward survived. So many more I have failed to mention. I would be remiss to not thank all war/conflict journalists for the dangers they face. 🙏
