Hello, friends!
For the month of June, I decided to delete all social media and distracting apps from my phone. It was all very negatively impacting my mental health and well-being-- endless doom scrolling & negative self-comparison...I really needed to separate myself from it all. I had BIG plans for this month of no social media....and I didn't accomplish a single one, hahaha! What can I say other than we do the best we can and that is enough 💛
Join me for this week of endeavoring to feel good as I try to spend my "phone time" doing things that bring me joy. From productive work days to restful nights reading, comfort foods and challenging adventures-- I hope you enjoy these highs and lows of my life. It means so much to me that you care to follow along in the first place.

If I’m honest, I wanted this video to last for an hour. I have so much anxiety, and I granted myself permission to completely stop myself and my worry… make myself a tall glass of iced tea with orange peel, lay down in my bed with a cozy throw, and just take in the goodness that is your videos. It’s so true, we get caught up with technology. And spend way to much time on our phones, that we forget about the real world around us. We forget about the beautiful flowers, the trees. We forget about listening to the birds singing. To go outside and play, do sports or just simply walk or ride a bike. Thank you for reminding us that we have a whole life to enjoy. And that looked like so much fun what you planned out with your friends. We need time to do things like that. It helps us to feel good and makes us healthy and our minds healthy and our hearts. Life has been so hard lately, it’s been hard to even have the will to survive. You make me feel like I entered into a different world filled with hope and joy, please never stop making those videos I love you so much!!
I feel you. All the horrible things going on in the world have me feeling so sad and exhausted lately. It is hard to find the will to go on, I try to be grateful each morning I wake up and try to give it another go. If I look too far ahead to the future it is terrifying. Be kind to yourself and know you are not alone. I love Morgan's videos too... they really do help make a difference.

When I read Mists 20+ years ago, it was actually life changing and my all time fav book. Completely changed my perspective on things. This makes me want to read it again and see if it still holds up to my memories!
One of my favorite books of all time. I've read it several times and it's certainly a keeper. Chronicles of Amber is a great book too. It has all of the books from the series in one volume. The author is Roger Zelazny.

So strange, I was at a bookstore on Wednesday and was recommended The Mist of Avalon. Admittedly I felt intimidated by the size as I have a 3 year old and not a lot of spare time. It’s interesting that it popped into my awareness again, perhaps it’s a read I would enjoy!

I love the magical simplicity in your videos - they remind me of a studio Ghibli film 🌼🍂 I recently went to a beach near me with a dear friend, and just being amongst people who are all living their life and just relaxing and enjoying the sunshine was truly amazing! I felt very human in that moment 🧡 I relate so much to what you said about saying no to things due to wanting to spend your time productively. Hopefully we can all practise spending our time valuably this summer in terms of things that make us happy an energised ☀️
