What a week! From foggy, crisp, early mornings, to afternoons spent in my favorite cozy cafe, to late work nights-- this video is a summary of my endeavor to get all caught up on my GoodReads challenge to read 50 books this year, while also trying to get alllll the work done AND practice self-care.....it actually went pretty well too!

Hi Morgan! What a lovely idea for an event; International Women's Day. I met up with a good friend today. We went to a cat cafe! There were lots of cute cats there. I've recently unearthed my childhood boxset of the Narnia chronicles. You've inspired to dive back into The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I remember reading The Magician's Nephew as a child but struggling to finish the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. It seems crazy now. Again, I highly recommend Tom's Midnight Garden by Philippa Pearce. No pressure though 😂 but I know how you love children's books and you get so many recommendations. I'm enjoying your videos very much as always.

While I was watching your video, I asked myself when was the last time that I saw the sunrise. And I don't know when it was. You have remembered to me the importance of little things. So, I only want to go to see the sunrise tomorrow, with my comfort book and some coffee (and with my own company. Sometimes to be alone it's ok).

I love the idea of book club but i have some questions please :
- Is it you on a weekly or monthly basis you choose a book to be discussed or members ?
- When choosing the book, you buy copies for members and send them to members ?
- When members send or choose a book they do the same as you did ?
- Did the retail price bookshop make for you a discounts for having more copies ?

Morgan, Morgan, I adore you and love that you love books, but I think you'd be happier with them if you'd stop concerning yourself with numbers. It doesn't matter as much how many pages or books we read as the happiness or enlightenment or wisdom we gain from them. I read piles of books, but don't give a fiddle how many or few there are except when I need to make space for more books. Let that inner grade school teacher go and enjoy the thoughts and ideas you're gaining from reading.

If I may, youur filming style might have changed a bit since brazil...even better....quicker shots, relaxed framing with more obtuse angles not right angles , still deliberate but less formal , more colors, subtle creative risks.....free and flexible....very nice! 🌞👍

Loved the book 84 Charing Cross Road and have read a few other books by Helen Hanff. The movie with Anne Bancroft and Anthony Hopkins is wonderful and I highly recommend it. You will love The Traveling Cat Chronicles. Be prepared to laugh a lot as well as cry buckets. At least I did. Wonderful book. I loved this video. You went to my favorite book store as well as one of my favorite cafes. I also love Mary Oliver's poetry and have read many of her books. (my favorite poet) I have not read Evidence however so will have to go and look for it at Powells. I am like you and buy used books whenever I can and books I do not keep I give to Little Libraries around Portland. I always enjoy your forest walks. Sorry I missed the premiere today but I was at Cannon Beach. Such a great day for a long beach walk. You have a great weekend Morgan friend.

Art and Fear is a really good book! I listen to it once a year to get my head in the right space. Additionally The War of Art by Steven Pressfield is also really good, and I kind of think I like it better than Art and Fear although both are amazing in their own way!

Miss Rumphius is my very favorite children's story. As a teacher I would always read the book and then have the children create their own Lupines, thank you for sharing!!

I really enjoyed this, I played it quite a few times after watching it the first time. Having it on the background has somehow helped me focus on my work, so I was able to finish it.
