Damn I miss TB, I rewatch these animated podcasts from time to time for nostalgia.
Pretty sure most/possibly all of the Co-optional podcasts and TGS podcasts are still on YT. MARATHON THEM!
I love that shooting the 'the' out of that sign made it more American.
"You don't say The Xth of Y." - Country that celebrates Independence Day on "4th of July".
Holy shit! I never noticed that! Their whole date system is contradicted on the day they achieved independence!!
TB is the reason after all these years I use Day/Month/Year. Wish you were here, legend.

"The Fourth of July"
Speak for yourself. I call it Fourth of July. No time for 'the'.
@@blackchibisan8116 You miss the point. You say Fourth of July, as opposed to July Fourth. The article 'the' isn't the point being made.
@@Tengila You miss that I don't gots time.

I was typing dates, and this popped into my mind. The good old days
I love grumpy TB in a bunny suit. I miss his rants.
I’m sorry but 2:24 SAM IS LIFTING DODGER WHILE SHE EATS A SANDWICH!
I really regret looking up the controller that Dodger was talking about...
@TheProphetOfHate XD
What is it even called? For informational purposes
@@marioguy14gaming8 juicy controller, or something. Can’t exactly remember how it was spelled in terms of marketing, but I do know it wasn’t spelled like ‘juicy’. There was some sort of a dash mark, in there.
I would love to read a history book written by them like this
Logic is realizing that we say "July 4th" and not "4 Julyth".
so that's how they colonised Mars, I was wondering about that. the history books are a bit vague for some reason.
Nobody ever says may 6 (my bday) randomly in any video but this one
The date Jesse also says that nothing happens on that day. XD
just realized this is the only animated where Genna shows up
She was in the amiibo one.
Actually, she shows up in quite a few others. She's in the riff tracks one, the bathrobes one, and the one about Wi-Fi on planes.
I freakin love all these podcasts please make more
i need more animated podcast
It is the 6th of May.
I like the idea that all the 'the's and 'of's we saved from saying made us have logistical superiority over the British, just those half-seconds adding up thousands of times in different conversations.
on the other hand, so much time is getting wasted on the discussions surrounding the weird date format ;)
@@FiXato Well that's AFTER the Revolutionary War, we've secured the unipolarity and now we're getting complacent with internet arguements.
I assume the whole Month-Day-Year is due to how we look up dates/events on calendars. You look for the specific month, then the corresponding day.
In that case, go YMD. You'd look up the year first in that instance.
Then at least do the Japanese Y/M/D. But M/D/Y is just stupidly confusing
Brovahkiin to me it just sounds better to say January 5th, instead of the 5th of January
@@EightThreeEight what calendars that you use that have more than one year
@@gemstonegynoid7475 You don't necessarily use it for calendars. But with saved documents for example, writing it YMD will give you the year first when you alphabetise it.

not just more logic lining it up along scale but also 'smoother'
dam , a shame we not got another decade of more TB
I was born May 6th
It’s May 5th; we’re already here.
Fourth year running and we’re here again a day early to win the war. It’s tradition now.
Canada does it too
The awful date system? What fools!
Officially we're d/m/y in Canada but the US system seems to be used by everyone except the government. It drives me batty. Personally I think it's because Windows defaults to US settings.
Then explain why Americans go "to the hospital" but Brits go "to hospital"
Joke's on you, Americans save time on that too by not being able to afford going to the Hospital!
@@Minumer I was referring to the use of "the" but I get your point
The brits learned their lesson, and as you can see the american hospital system is broken so the the lesson holds true
It’s May 5th again guys. We’re still here a day early ahead of the British.
You legend. Rip.
Third year in a row we’re here a day early. We’ve already crowned King Charles III too.
My birthday is May 6th
My cheeks hurt and those things are infinite XD.
ISO 8601 4 lyfe
A perfect date indeed.
1,it was the red sea
2, it was the eclipse
I and many others were born 6th may so yes shit happened
Well also May 6th was the Hindenburg disaster, when Stalin become premier of the Soviet Union, and earlier in history when Louis the 14th moved the French palace to Versailles which became synonymous to the extreme difference between the people of France and the royalty of France during Louis the 16th reign (Which is the monarch who was ruling when the French revolution started), and when Spanish and German troops sacked Rome, ending the renaissance.
Huh neet
You are nothing, your birth meant nothing, and your death will mean even less.
@@Wertsir well....thanks i guess hahahaha i mean your not wrong in a sense but everything means something to someone or else there'd be no meaning in anything and the world would be a stagnant boring place so ill keep going as i am thanks have a good life
Yet on July the 4th, the Americans call it the 4th of July and they count that as one of their most important holidays. Hmmmmm
Almost like they’re admitting our way is better
That’s some reach, but ok
Grasping at straws much? Furthermore, it's not "the 4th of July" it's Independence Day. July 4th is just a date on a calendar, the holiday is Independence Day and the fact so many people call it "4th of July" really shows how ignorant and out of touch with our history the country has become. Of course, the big-government-should-control-every-aspect-of-your-life crowd would love for everyone to forget the reason why we celebrate Independence Day anyway. Can't have uppity peasants remembering that their forefathers overthrew a tyrannical government that trampled on them for far too long, they might get it in their filthy peasant heads to try doing it again.
@@Malikyte13 Jesus christ mate... your date system kinda sucks, that's it, no need to go on a big rant. Nobody really cares.
@@RupeeRhod I mean it's one of the 3 standards we didnt magically come up with it. America for some reason gets shit on for systems that have been standardized for decades and suddenly the butthurt foreigners cant for some reason see how this works one our system works from the smallest to the biggest. There are only 12 months in a year which is less than the amount of days which varies from 28-31 the year is always the biggest numerically speaking. But you can say its. 2019 December 4th or is the 4th of December 2019 or its is December 4th 2019 neither is hard to understand and neither is the standard of the world. Much like the whole argument of metric or imperial being more accurate when both are updated systems that have very very low inaccuracy. Or celcius vs farenheit two systems which are technically not the most accurate given Kelvin is a thing.
Tb fuck right
Whatever happened to the Ju C controller?
I say the sixth of august it's better than the American way
Im sorry americans ur day is legit called 4th of July, not july 4th. Stay concistant.
I was born may 6th
Dearest Dodger, i hope by now you have seen the light and realized that you 'say it that way' because you've been taught and raised to do so, not because it is in any way more natural or has the least bit of sense to it.
Brits don't say "the" before hospital.
Or University
rewatching it.. he says smallest to bigest. day, month, year. 30ish days, 12 months, 2015 years (at time of vid). so were atualy going smallest to biggest XD with month, day, year.
But we do smallest to biggest there are 12 months, up to 31 days in a month, and the years in the thousands
I could say the same thing about numbers there are 12 units in a dozen and there is like 8 and one-third of a dozen in a hundred, that doesn't mean that a dozen is bigger than a hundred
It's not about the number of numbers, it's about how long(big) is the timeframe. Month is never longer than a day, even in whatever "timeunits" americans measure it in ;)))
@@tramrant but it's not our system or time theres multiple reasons why each one works and they are all the same.
There’s actually a pretty good reason. TB brought up smallest to biggest, right? How high does number go for months? 12 for months, 31 for days, and 99 for years.
