reminds me of that Twilight Zone episode where a man flipped a coin and it landed on it's side, and somehow, that gave him the power to read minds. he worked at a bank and read the mind of an old man, and found out that old man had a plan to rob the bank vault when he left that day. in the end, apparently the old man just thinks about doing that every single day though he would never do it.
By the way, fundamental thing about seeing a therapist: if it’s something that’s harming you mentally in some way, it’s a problem, no matter how small it might be. I might not be phrasing this right, but, no good therapist would tell you that they aren’t “real” problems.
Yeah, but you know they're thinking it. "Why is this guy so obsessed with how he ties his shoelaces? I've got bills late and he's crying his eyes out because he can't figure out how to do a fun pattern with string?"
@@thegoldencrab3672 I fucked up trying to do neat shoelaces and ended up putting them back in wrong when I tried to fix them and I don't want to talk about it anymore.
What is bothering you may not be why you are bothered by it. What I mean is, just because your partner wears odd socks of the same colour (for example) and when they do your laundry, pair same-coloured, odd socks together, and that infuriates you (whilst they have no idea why you care) doesn't mean it's about socks. It could be a myriad different reasons associated to the way your mind works. Maybe you were raised poor and had to mismatch clothes because yo just couldn't afford new ones. Maybe someone messing with your clothing makes you feel less independent or out of control. Maybe it's just that the person 6ou love is oblivious to something so obvious to you. Little shit that screws with you isn't ever little shit, it's sand in your mental shoe. It's going to keep irritating you until you deal with it. So therapy helps. And if you live in America where Therapy is theft, just find a friend to tell stupid shit to. Might e a close friend - could be a distant friend depending on who you feel like opening up to. Just so long as you have someone you don't mind opening up to and being honest with. Hell, talk to your dog or cat or a pet rock. The most important part is talking it out and saying things out loud.
"She's probably planning to kill Sam right now" "Oh my God, I-" I can't be the only one who thought at first that she was gonna talk about one of her "Kill All the YOGs" schemes
What’s freaky is that most of the problems they talked about shrinks laughing at, are problems people most often talk about! One of my friends asked his shrink, and she said, “It doesn’t matter if they’re actually problems or not, they’re problems to you. That’s what we’re getting paid for.” I dunno if it’s true or not, but I dunno.
I mean, it's true. They -are- problems to you, and a good therapist will help you through them, no matter how small. That's the whole point of a therapist: To help you through the problems that you feel you can't open up about with your friends and family due to social pressures.
At the time this was uploaded I thought no-one would actually keep being a fan if a RUclipsr were to kill, fast forward towards 2019 and people are now petitioning to free the "yander murderer" because they find her cute. How much my trust in humanity has been lowered, you have no idea.
You really don't follow the news then. This isn't a new phenomenon. There was this really hot guy who got enough fangirls to get a modeling career straight outta probation. And to be blunt, there was O.J. Simpson.

I have to admit, when I finally watched a bit of the cooptional podcast for real, I was kinda disappointed that everyone didn't just look like their cartoons because I'd watched so many of them. The style for these cartoons are just wonderful, I love it. Everyone isn't just standing around stiff, it's very fluid and expressive, it's professional. Real life is boring, we need to make some alternate reality implant thing that makes this all a cartoon.
It's a reference to the Space Butterfly, which is a meme that Jesse created during the Terraria playthrough with TB. It caught on and got really popular and so it even got merch made for it. Jesse is wearing Space Butterfly pajamas in the animation.
CodeRed99911 ah. Makes sense. I apologize for my ignorance, but thanks for clearing that up. Both of you. I hope you have a nice day/night (depending on what time it is for you when you’re reading this).
Oh christ. I feel this. Imagine going to a therapist and bitching about your problems and the therapist just stares at you like, "Are you fucking serious? These aren't even real problems." lol SHIT, I FEEL THIS~! XD
Okay, so the therapy skit is a joke, I get it. I do like it as well BUT Even if you think your problems are not "real" but still feel awful about them, do talk to a psychologist. Maslow's Heirarchy is a real thing, so don't bottle it up as "Not really a problem" Many small streams makes a big river.
Indeed. Internet trolling has been getting so much worse over the last few years, and thankfully people outside the online circle are actually starting to take seriously the amount of mental damage it can do.
In marvel comics their was a plot about the precognitive murders and its like a another civil war like the first group of heros think is correct to arrest somebody before they do it but the other heros they say its not correct
..... Are you really that stupid? Jack The Ripper isn't from a movie (yes, there have been movies about the topic, but) Jack The Ripper was a real historical person. Look it up sometime. They never did figure out who the murderer really was. One of the most well-known criminals in history and we know so little about him.
Theses things they are talking about really aren't real problems, but they are made problems because people are raised in sheltered environments where they didn't have to deal with bad shit happening to them or their parents focused more on removing the problems for them instead of teaching them how to solve their own problems. I am a big supporter of therapy and if you feel there is no way you can solve an issue yourself or through your friends and family, go ahead, there is no shame, still, when people say your shit at something or your an asshole ask yourself, why do you care so much? Take a step back and honestly ask yourself, why does this matter to me? I've spent a year in therapy for various stuff and trust me, this is likely one of the things you will be asked to do anyways.
WAITAMINUTE Don't we have a sci-fi series like that? I mean Psycho-Pass is definitely not about technology that allows that sort of precognition stuff but to an extent, thinking about those things will probably get your Crime Coefficient high enough to put you as a Latent Criminal and get taken into an institution.
