In the same world as J Dilla and Madlib? Hell, De La Soul did something far more creative than Ye when they used a steely dan sample, as fire as Champion is.
you should do a video on solange and her sound. nobody has done that yet, and i’m sure i’m not the only one who would like to see a breakdown of the production techniques between her latest 2 albums
Respect this comment. Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams was slept on. Many were familiar with T.O.N.Y. track, but didn't soak in the whole album. Album still one of my faves, Real Talk.
this is fs my fav producer page idc about the subs or anything like that. i feel like if you get ppl to help you with your channel and create a brand it can be really big. look into that
Definitely, I don't think people realize how much the machine can push you into a certain workflow/style/technique. Like FL studios piano roll for example pushed people into using triplets. When I used the ASR it made me into a sample heavy producer in a way.
@ꕥ I'm sure he's producing something. He's been consistently creating over the last two decades and unquestionably has one of the best discographies in hip hop.
@ari- okay, I understand that, but then by that logic, why make a video about him at all? You either detach his personal beliefs and look at the music separately, or you take both into consideration and decide that you dont want to show support at all.
awesome stuff. i think his earlier stuff carries more weight to it, but personally my favorite producing is in "The life of pablo" What do you think about that album?
Didnt really understand what he did in 3:50 tho. Just chopped the sample leaving out of the chop the rimshot hit? like offset chopping it and still putting it in rythm?
He was never the greatest producer Pete Rock, RZA, Premo, Dre, Battlecat, Timbaland, Pharrel & Dilla were always better. That's why Kanye always bit off them
Still is the Greatest Producer
fax
DJ Premier is better

Awesome video. The chop you did to compare it to kanyes - that was exactly what I would've done.
LESGOOO I BEEN WAITIN ON THIS 🔥🔥🔥
Man these techniques are all very reminiscent of the workflow of the ASR-10 (ye’s main sampler)
Definitely, I don't think people realize how much the machine can push you into a certain workflow/style/technique. Like FL studios piano roll for example pushed people into using triplets. When I used the ASR it made me into a sample heavy producer in a way.

Weird title

They may be bigger by Kanye's musical talent is unmatched.
