Honestly, it's not about metal or plastic, it's rather about accessibility, many "3rd party" manufacturer if you can call them that aren't located in Europe or don't provide shipping, and even if they do costs are rather expensive ( At least for the polish standard ). So I don't really feel like paying Warhammer prices ( or higher ) for 10-man inexperienced rifles So overall thanks for the video and keep up that good work
Fantastic conversion mate! Love Romanians and planning on doing them soon this just made my decision of which models to go for a lot harder XD Thanks for the great content.
Thank you!! The warlord conversions are quite large but scale fine next to Great Escape Games Romanians, but they are massive next to Crusader or Tsuba miniatures
@@scalehistoryslc819 thank you! I had been leaning towards GEG summer Romanians , love the Tsuba Romanians but the complete range that GEG offers is persuading me that way at the moment.
Looking at Warlord’s polish motorized division kit…I think you could recreate it quite easily with the winter German kit as a base. You could sculpt some extra webbing straps on the front with green stuff and then use WW1 German heads, probably from Wargames Atlantic!
@@scalehistoryslc819 interesting .... gona have to have a look at wargame atlantics products again. thx for the great coat idea too ... will work wonders for my 10th motorized WIP army.
I did something similar! I used the soviet helmets trimmed down into roughly the shape of the Romanian helmet, took a long time so I think the 3D prints would be much nicer and more accurate too anyways
There are some great options! If you can get a hold of some German field cap heads you could shave off the German eagle emblem and add a little green stuff to make them look more like Romanian field caps. You can also just use some regular German stalhelms as the Romanians certainly used some - if you paint the overcoats khaki colors instead of German field green they will still stand out as Romanians! There are also some great Romanian miniatures in metal if you don't mind ditching plastic!
@@scalehistoryslc819 Where do you get your metal Romanian minis from? I'm thinking about getting into Bolt Action and starting a Romanian army but I can't find any models.
@@smeekma Great Escape Games has an entire line of Romanians in metal that are great! Crusader miniatures, gothic Line and Tsuba/Empress also have small metal lines

Well this video came along at exactly the right time. I'm just planning on starting a Romanian army and was struggling with lack of variety!
Great timing!! Good luck on your army!
Awesome video! Jon sent me here ;)
Love seeing your conversions. Always so smooth!
Excellent work and painting job with these Romanian troopers . They are stunning ! Glad to discover your channel . Subbed .

id love to see you make some early war plastic polish army conversions because these are simple and brilliant imho.
Ooo that’s a great idea!

Same for polish infantry in greatcoats, though looks like you could use Italian helmeted heads instead

That sound like a lot of work!
Great stuff!
Great idea mate and very nice painting on top.
Thank you!!
Congrats on 250 subs!
Awesome video
Excellent. Remember, one may always use a filler (greenstuff, etc) to properly seat the after market helmets.
Wow! Thanks
This great! Been thinking about fielding some Romanians. What if you don’t have a 3-D printer? Suggestions?
