This could've been the best guide ive seen for Gunlancer. Good job my dude. problem though is being lvl 50. can't get all the skills thats required 10 to 10.
If you had to pick one skill to bring to 10, I'd say go for Surge Cannon. The third tripod that can turn it into a 360 spin also reduces the cooldown for every enemy you hit up to 15 seconds. It's easily the best skill for chaos dungeons and anything else that has hordes of enemies since you'll almost always be hitting enough enemies to cut the cooldown in half.
Hello this will probably not be seen but if it does what abyss armor should I be going for red lancer currently going grudge/lone knight/adrenaline and for 4th one master brawler.I wanted to do more of a swiftness concentrated gunlancer maybe 1200 swift stat and 840 crit stat. You can mix 4 crit dmg set, and 2 mana set for the infinite mana. You will do less damage, but you wont have mana issues. Swiftness gunlancers run out of mana ridiculously fast

I'm currently in t3 1340 as red gl but from what I'm reading from the community people are saying that blue is basically better at the moment in both dps and survivability especially before Argos raids. Red is like we talked about better once we get 33331. Do you think it's worthwhile to swap to blue since relic gear is still months away?
Yes, you can definitely do that. That is true because Combat Readiness is a really good engraving at level 1, whereas lone knight really starts to pop off at level 3 + relic gear.
In your opinion, im currently 324 skillpoints would you rather go lvl 10 gunlace shot with lvl 6 fire bullet or lvl 10 firebullet and lvl 6 counter gunlance? Also thank you for having this amazing guide for me once i switched from blue to red now
Hey man!, really nice and cool guide, I have 336 SP and change it to Red Gunlancer at 1355 iLvl (like 2 days ago lol) and I been testing it and the damage is so cool, in my opinion its feels way better than blue (which is a little clunky to play) but there is only one thing that bothers me: BASH. I know the importance of the skill and I read all the effect compared to Shield Bash and Shield Shock and acknowledge that the benefits are the counter skill , the defense debuff and the attack buff that the other 2 don't have. BUT, I can't deal with the range, is to short! is possible to change Bash for any of the other skills? which one do you recommend if I choose to change it? Or it's much better to get BASH to lvl 10 and then pick the area tripod?

It might be hard to see but my tripod recommendations are actually in the video (for guardians/raids) For AOE's, you want to build around surge cannon, since it's strong (benefits from supercharge), gets its cooldown reduced from hitting multiple mobs, etc. Gunlancer is a tier 1 chaos dungeon class just because of this one skill lol
why do you use the set tha boost critical chance and not the other that buff critical dmg and head atack dmg ? And about stats, full critic them swiftness or 50 / 50 them critical chance gear ? Is just a honest question, if you could give me some insight i would be most gratefull.
I do use the set that boosts crit chance and crit damage. They're are 1 set. I would recommend full crit, then remaining on swiftness for your current server progression. You don't have access to bracelets and set upgrades yet. It's highly recommended to go full crit

It's purely luck :( But don't worry, there's always a shortage of items out on the market when the game first comes out / new grade items come out. Give it a couple of weeks and they will become more available.

The mokoko outfits are given out through events! The one I'm wearing is the winter mokoko outfit they gave out last christmas. I'm sure they'll hold an event and distribute them soon in NA and EU as well.
it's a lot better, but I still don't use it. That's because the skill is a reactionary skill, and I can't use it to deal damage when I want to. It's still an okay skill. I'd replace fire bullet for it if you really want to use it.

In your build you ran 1-2-2 for dash upper fire. Do you think its fine to run 3-2-2 instead for the ready attack so that after your initial combo with taunt, bash, surge, stinger, you can re-apply ready attack for gunlance shot and fire bullet? Would this be viable or is running dash upper fire on cdr better for the short term dmg and increased availability for countering?
I chose quick prep for the exact reasons you specified. Additionally, since you can only run 11 gems, running quick prep allows for 1 additional gem slot for another dmg gem instead (instead of upper fire CD gem). Both are viable choices for legitimate reasons

Sadly yes. We are one of the slowest classes for pushing the story. Because of how slow we are. But become a valuable class for raids and other pve contents down the road
yes you can - but it's only worth if the gold isn't too expensive. Combat readiness 1 will help with your shield gauge management, and increase your damage if you're good with managing the CR stacks.
Blue builds are more consistent since they dont need to aim for head attacks, but their damage output is very, very low. Both gunlancer builds have their pros and cons. I will be posting a vid about it soon.

They both have very distinct pros and cons. The lone knight requires a lot more careful planning and micro management. Combat readiness is much simpler.
Yes. You're just not as tanky as a blue gunlancer, but you're still tankier than anything else in the game. Later when more raids come out, however, the 'tank' role kind of disappears, because taunt doesn't really do much for the team. It's either support or DPS. I will explain this in a later vid
Backstepping is extremely important. Your Z skill only grants physical CC immunity, whereas backsteping gives you immunity to every type of CC. Although we have a short and annoying (because of going backwards) spacebar mobility skill, it has its pros as well. It's on a very low cooldown. It gives us the ability to truly facetank and eat up CC for days. It's also good for shield gauge management. When you want to save up on your shield gauge, but need the CC immunity, you can quickly turn off the Z skill, use backstep to eat up the CC, then turn it back on.

It seems like most bosses hv these really wide arcs and deep hitboxes that will still hit me anyway if mashing backstep while facing the boss. I have to somehow make my char face sideways or turn 180 first before backstepping which is really clunky.
Played around a bit more, and realized that you can backstep away from where you position your cursor, so you don't have to manually turn first. This makes it far less clunky, but still requires some getting used to. Hope this help others who haven't realized this yet.

If you are talking about SP, I feel you on it. There's really no way around it, the game forces you to get them, or you will be weak. I say start on the ones that could take weeks or months to get first. As for engravings, I have a video on it, it should work regardless of the state of the NA/EU meta
Before getting your hands on relic gear (about the time when valtan comes out) you want to invest all your stats into crit and the excess on swiftness/agility. A good spot is about 70-80% crit chance.
Once relic gear comes out, you will get 20% crit chance from the set option alone, allowing you to invest into swiftness more. But until then, you need the crit from your base stats

yeah the early game struggle for SP is real. I say weigh the values of each skill and max out the ones that increases your damage the most.
