Thank you for making common sense vids for everyone and not just top tier photographers. I picked up the zfc because of your continued support of it and I honestly couldn't be happier. Glad to add a couple new lenses to my cart now! Thanks for spending my money for me haha
In every video I really enjoy your images; great stuff! Great to see so many FX lenses. Although I own two FX cameras, I love my tiny Z50 as a travel camera. Great images in a small package. Last week we went on a weekend with my sister and the family. I exclusively used the Viltrox 20mm. Great little lens with great image quality; highly recommended! The 16 - 55 kit lens is indeed a great quality lens but I find the AF sometimes to be a little bit slow. What's your experience with that lens?
If you reach the end of the video I'm talking about the kit 16-50mm. It's my personal favorite lens. Small and sharp. Usually I shoot at f8 with it so the AF doesn't bother me since almost everything is in focus at that point. Thank you for your kind words I truly appreciate them ❤️
Also a Z fc user here. Loved the design from the release so it became my dream camera. I also got the 28mm 2.8 on the bundle because I was intrigued by the focal length. But you're right it is too expensive and there are a lot of cheaper alternatives that I could have bought instead.
Back when it was released the 28mm was a great deal. But after the 24mm 1.7 got announced it killed the value of the 28mm. It still is a great lens and if you ever go full frame you will enjoy it even more
I don't have a dedicated portrait lens yet so it would be nice to have the 56mm! I really enjoyed the video, I was really wondering were I could find a good general review video to decide what lenses I would like to buy next!
Great run-through! I have a Z50 with the 16-50 and the 50-250 but I am looking into expanding my kit (and my skills) with a prime. This was a really good overview!
I bought the Nikon Zfc with a DX 16-50 mm lens last year. I really like its vintage look. I decided to buy that as my first camera immediately after watching the unboxing of that camera by my favourite RUclips channel V2K Photography. The way he experienced and explained was so exciting. I have recently started taking the pictures in auditoriums. My lens has f/3.5. I'm thinking of buying a new lens with a f value around 1 to 2. 😊
Hello! Your channel has been fantastic for learning more about lenses for the Z fc. Do you have a video comparing the kit lens 16-50mm with the 24mm f/1.7 lens? I’d love to see image comparisons between the two. Thank you!
I don't have a video comparing them sadly. The difference after f3.5 (which is the minimum aperture of the kit lens) in terms of sharpness is miniscule. Both are really sharp. Of course in terms of low light performance the 24mm is better because of the brighter aperture.
I am getting myself a Z fc for christmas as a b-cam and to explore a new system as a Sony shooter. I would love to win the lens to get my first Nikon kit going. Also really appreciate the recommendations for future purchases.
I have the z50 with kit lens and clicked about 3000 photos now and I personally don't get why everyone calls it's AF bad. Sure it hunts somtimes but that's due to its lens. The AF is quick and accurate 90% times. Its as quick as the A6400. What's your take on it?
The af on the z50 is really good. I use the zfc which has basically the same af and I rarely miss. Maybe the Sony a6400 is a tinyyyy bit faster in some situations. But these older Sony colors are garbage anyway.
Came across your channel researching the TTartisans 56mm 1.8 which is on my short list of portrait lenses. It is at the top of my list as of now. Enjoyed the entire video and am now following you on instagram and have subscribed to this channel.
Awesome kit man. I would love to get some voigtlander lenses in the future. The rendering and the 3D pop is just out of this world. But for the price I can't recommend them to beginners and enthusiasts. Greetings from Greece man , will visit Germany soon since I was born and raised in Hamburg
@@IliasKoureas you're right. For the money you can buy a lot of other nice lenses :) after first shootings I wanted to resell it, because I wasn't happy with it, but then I was in Hamburg, where it was 99% on the camera and now it's one of my favorite lens.
The Sigma 56mm is hands down my favorite lens on my zfc - picked it up early on based on your first zfc lens recommendation video and have loved it ever since!
I just sold my fuji camera and pre-ordered the Z50ii and looking for some versatile lenses. Have you used the Nikon Z MC 50mm (macro) and can you recommend it?
Sorry, haven't used it nor researched it. I don't do macro photography and when I do I just use close up filters. Welcome to the Nikon family though ❤️
@@IliasKoureas Ok thanks, yeah can't wait to get the Z50ii, i just thought the 50mm might also be a good lens for portrait and landscape but i'm not sure yet if i'm going to buy it, it's not exactly cheap. :)
I have come to love the 3 SIRUI lenses I have (16mm, 23mm & 75mm f1.2) I am aware of the sharpness limitations of these lenses wide open... but I still use them at that and LOVE the results! They are excellent for street and dusk / nighttime photography.
Oh I might need to add the the 75mm on the list!! It looks great!! Forgot these lenses god released a few months ago. I wouldn't go for the 16mm personally because the sigma 16mm looks better and wide angle bokeh isn't really a thing.
@@IliasKoureas there is a different look between the Sigma and the Sirui 16mm lenses - it's. preference of the user - I had the Sigma and I sold it after I saw the Sirui and liked the results better!

At 1.2 on the 75mm lenses there's a huge difference in sharpness and contrast. The viltrox is the better lens. But for the price the sirui is definitely worth it! I'll add it in the list it deserves a spot. Sharper doesn't always mean better💪 But I won't add the 16mm. I think the sigma is much more worth it.

I read a lot of reviews, and from that I would add the Meike 56mm 1,4. AF. Under 200€. Better than the Viltrox Ones, if you want good AF and 1,4. It has also an aperture ring, which fits the retro design and handling with the zfc better, for those who cares.
