    Could have got an 8 pack of bare end DC barell pigtails for $1 each. But great video nonetheless.

    thanks for the helpful video, I might try this with my Arri. Just curious, does your model have the white lines inside the camera to help form the loops when loading? For some reason mine doesn't...

    can seem to find the battery you use. can you provide a link

      I use Watson Pro V- Mount batteries, but that's not what matters. It's the battery plate that has pre-tapped voltage outputs. Smallrig makes one that has two 12v outputs. whichever pro battery system (V-Mount/Anton Bauer) you want to invest in, doesn't matter. www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1643741-REG/smallrig_3204_v_mount_battery_adapter_plate.html

    What conductive glue are you using?

    • @AlvinGMorris
      @AlvinGMorris  Год назад

      I don't remember exactly what I bought. but, anything made to conduct electricity by gluing metal wires together. I researched and found a product called "Wire Glue" that advertises this exact property. It's kind of like soldering without needing a soldering iron...

    if i have the constant speed 12v motor do you think making this cable would work or fry my motor?

    • @AlvinGMorris
      @AlvinGMorris  3 года назад +1

      It’ll work fine, it’s not the cable but the power source that makes things fry. The cable is just a positive and negative connection from source to camera.

      @@AlvinGMorris Gotcha. So as long as this cable gets connected to an 8v battery it'll be fine right? can't connect it to anything 12v?

    • @AlvinGMorris
      @AlvinGMorris  3 года назад

      @@michellealanis230 you could connect this to any voltage motor. The cable can handle whatever you put through it. It’ll work fine on 12v.

      @@AlvinGMorris sorry i meant i have the constant speed 8v motor, not 12v. so i think i have to plug it into a power source thats 8v only because anything more can fry my motor, is that what happened to your original motor? i know you mentioned in comments that the original motor on yours stopped working

    • @AlvinGMorris
      @AlvinGMorris  3 года назад +1

      @@michellealanis230 yeah you definitely plug it into the source rated for your motor, and yes it can be fried if you use higher, certain variable speed motors will work on lower volts. But higher is not recommended
