I use Watson Pro V- Mount batteries, but that's not what matters. It's the battery plate that has pre-tapped voltage outputs. It’ll work fine, it’s not the cable but the power source that makes things fry. The cable is just a positive and negative connection from source to camera.
@@AlvinGMorris sorry i meant i have the constant speed 8v motor, not 12v. so i think i have to plug it into a power source thats 8v only because anything more can fry my motor, is that what happened to your original motor? i know you mentioned in comments that the original motor on yours stopped working
@@michellealanis230 yeah you definitely plug it into the source rated for your motor, and yes it can be fried if you use higher, certain variable speed motors will work on lower volts. But higher is not recommended
