I was 8.. we had driven all the way out there.. & my mom drove back home. I coulda been to the most epic music gathering of my time. but no.. thanks mom.
so glad these guys are back! I don't care if they sound any different than they used to!! We should just all be greatful that these guys are playing again because that's all that really matters!
If there were only bands like these and the food/water prices were normal it would have been a whole different Woodstock. Wonderful artist, there isn't music like this anymore
wtf....it's the greatest show with most feeling i've ever seen and this is just one song.....drugs were reasons too i think..;)... but ...man.....can't find words for it! nice...my heart was pumping hard
Looking back at Woodstock 99 now makes me a little sad. It was like a big final farewell to the 90s. It was such an amazing decade for music. The best in my opinion.
What a pity Bush aren't around anymore. This was easily one of the best performances of Woodstock '99. They absolutely nailed it first time out with Sixteen Stone.
Its said that they are recording a new album, they play a small tour this summer and their debut album is released again with bonus tracks! thats all you have to know
@zannapics That's right! Garbage is coming out with a new album and I saw Bush Oct 13th. I'm 23& thought I would be the youngest person there. Nope, a lot of the 18-24 crowd there. Trust me the 90s are coming back :D. It's thanks to youtube, that we realize we're not alone in the closet listening to the 90s XD. tHis is why we have comeback tours and new albums..
The first Woodstock was full of peace loving hippies (not bashing them for that) who turned out to see bands playing Amazing Music that fit a turbulent time. That Generation of kids turned around and Fucked it up worse than their parents had. This Woodstock was the offspring of that generation, knew they fucked it up, and were rightfully angry as hell. But everyone there was to see bands playing Amazing Music that fit a turbulent time. Bush and Rage played the best live sets that I saw.
he forgot what he wanna say hhahahahahhaa when he said, little things, the crowd scream, he feels all right hahahahahaha starting playing, the best he do, MUSIC IS ALWAYS THE ANSWER!!!
Their manager was overheard saying, "Get out 'dere and be nice and grungey"......the proceeding was what took place. :P ...I'll say this...they really did get into it half-way through. It was definitely more than just going through the motions. ...for that, look up a live Hinder performance.....
you don't have to be a virtuoso to create great music. anarchy is the best single of the 70's and i stand by that proudly. stairway to heaven comes in second, followed by GOD SAVE THE QUEEN. nmtb, time zone, and pil are all genius. have you heard metal box, flowers of romance, first issue, or compact disc? or the song world destruction? a vital influence and some very challenging and innovative music. diverse as heck too. the goal in music is to be yourself. not be exactly like others
@Mr11MUSICMAN 39.Coldplay - Parachutes 38.Queens Of The Stone Age - Songs For The Deaf 37.Atlas Sound - Logos 36.Queens Of The Stone Age - Rated R 35.Radiohead - In Rainbows 34.Arcade Fire - The Suburbs 33.Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes Yes, it's JOSH'S top 50, ladies & gents!! Oh, and although he mentions Hendrix as an influence, he lists ZERO Hendrix albums on that top 50!! Amazing.
@LeoL0bo Im pretty sure I heard they are currently in the studio working on a new album. So they already got back together. Just looked it up, and i'm correct. I think the guitarist isnt back, but everyone else is.
im sorry but i love the music soooo much, but this video had me loving other things if you know what i mean. :D mmm gavin you are old enough to be my mom but thats okay. that little dance he does before he starts saying "ive lived here my whole life" to die for.
@Mr11MUSICMAN Hey, JOSH? Humor me...Which Hendrix tracks would YOU recommend I give a listen to hear some octave solos?? Which of Hendrix's versions of "Like a Rolling Stone" do YOU prefer, Monterey in '67 or Newport '69? WHY? Hey, on which Hendrix tunes does he incorporate the Phrygian mode? What do you think of his solo on "Dolly Dagger" from Atlanta in '70?? And how about Driving South?? Which is YOUR favorite version?? And hey, in what chords does use on the main riff on "Midnight?" WELL?
i hate everyone that went to this i was only like 5 when this happened.I want this woodstock back... The whole damn thing even limp bizkit. People put all the blame on them for the bs but everything contributed. That was just the way they performed fuckin crazy. I hope Bush makes a big US tour
@Lord33Of33Life yes i mean bush a copy from nirvana,it was mostly influenced and after all nirvana wasnt the only band to cr8 the grunge movement, a band didnt do the movement on his own, and grunge started a lot before kurt even gathered the band, with green river, mother love bone etc
