    So tragic he died after a heart by pass operation age 57 in 1982. He certainly made his mark because here we are in 2020 still admiring and loving his talent.
    Thanks to RUclips the whole world can now listen and see one of the worlds most beautiful voices.

      The heart by pass was a desperate attempt to save his life after Robbins suffered a massive heart attack.

    What a voice . It is a bad reflection on what today is laughingly called "country music", that almost 40 years on and there is nothing better. There is no talent today , and no individuality.

      Bobby, I totally agree with you. Today it is just SLOP.. Nothing out since the late sixties worth listening to. Voices so electronically made..... Videos so disgusting...Just no talent....BAD

      The stuff they call "country" these days (2020) is just main stream pop with a twang and is not country music.

    The first time I heard this song was by a Danish metal band named Volbeat. You can imagine how different it is from this version. To think that this existed for so long beforehand and I had no clue.

    • @dkmi
      @dkmi 3 года назад

      That Volbeat version is basically covering the cover Social Distortion did in the early 90's. Check out that version. I like it better than the Volbeat one.
