- Jeff starts up the Woodland Mills Sawmill for the first time and he makes the very first cut! Jeff also goes over all the features that ultimately resulting in the purchase of this particular one. We still have some adjustments that need to be made, but what an amazing machine this is... We can't wait to start turning our logs to lumber!!

So, we've figured out that the striations in the wood are due to a bent or broken tooth on the blade - Likely happened when we popped the blade right in the beginning. Lesson learned! To see a (mostly) time-lapse of us building this mill, click here: ruclips.net/video/pm3GcLQT7FI/видео.html
Wow, we are loving this thing!
Very helpful.... thanks
Glad we could help, much appreciated 😊
so exciting. Ive wanted something like this for awhile now. Maybe one day! ~Erinn
It has been HUGE for us! The best investment we have made yet. Thanks for watching 😊
I’m your 500 Subscribers! Congratulations 👏 ‼️
Thanks so much, than thanks for watching 😀
Very glad to. You will be at 1000 soon. We are on track as well!
I hope so! And y'all certainly will, and it will be much deserved when you do 😊
Thanks friend and let’s connect and keep in touch!
Certainly!
"THOUS SHALT NOT COVET.....THOU SHALT NOT COVET.....THOU SHALT NOT COVET....." MAN that's one fine machine!!
Thanks man, been wanting one for years - best purchase we've made 😃
Thanks for watching!
That wood was gorgeous!
Right! Cedar is so pretty :)
Beautiful wood.This was fascinating.
Thank you. We are loving it!
I like the blade guard. Don't know why other manufacturers don't use one.
We had one, but took it off because the bamboo is too close together in some spots to get between with the guard on it. Would have shown that in the video, but where it's that close, it's hard to get in and film. We will put it back on once we finish with the bamboo. Thanks for watching 😀
I'm so sorry, I thought originally you were speaking about our latest video, and I just now noticed your we're referring to the saw mill... YES, we love the blade guard - so many reasons why we chose the Woodland Mills 😊
Nice machine, better than doing it by hand use to it back in the 80. Have a wonderful day.
Thanks, we are loving it! And SO much easier this way :)
i just finished assembling my mill and moved it onto the track this morning. just adjustment to do now, then add oil to the engine for a trial run
Please let us know how it goes - Congrats!!
Pretty cool 👍 saves a lot of time and work.
Yes! And will save us so much money... Lumber has really gone up lately.
Use the blade guide to your advantage, close to the log is good and will make a better cut..
Thanks! We are thinking about getting the adjustable stabilizer for the blade - should help a lot.
Thanks for following along, we have some mill videos coming up soon (if the rain will ever stop 🤣 )
Tractors…we’ve all had our moments, like motorcycles, where we were like whoops, that could’ve been bad.
There’s probably a million tractor safety videos, but generally the ROPS bar will save you from the grisly fates other farmers did not.
Keep your load low, drop it immediately anything moves on you. Go up steep inclines this way.
If you can hear this, now’s a good time to don the chainsaw helmet🥳
Good insight and great advice!
@@HomesteadFresh I meant to add “go up steep inclines in reverse”, but I don’t see a lot of hills there😀
Just a few, but we haven't cleared that far back yet. But, I knew what you were getting at.
Appreciate you stopping by and for your input 🙂
Josh here from the FB Homesteader RUclips group. Glad I found your channel, and stoked you have a sawmill! We've owned and operated a couple bandmills ourselves. Looking forward to seeing more of your content! Subbing now :)
Thanks so much! I was just turning you channel on to check it out 😃
@@HomesteadFresh sweet!
Steady feed
Thanks for stopping by, much appreciated :)
Great equipment or shall I say machinery. You must produce a lot of finished wood. You will be getting free sawdust yeah. I'll stay around and look in often. Stay safe.
We're getting there! As we clear Land we are getting plenty of wood - loving it!
I'll swing by and check out your content shortly - thanks for watching 😀
Hello, nice video. Great to see you using that machine. I post videos on gardening and backyard farming. Come over when you get a chance 👍
Thanks, we really love it! I'll swing by later today - thanks for stopping by :)
Flip your pull starter so you can pull towards where you stand to run it you will thank me later
I haven't thought of that, thanks!
@@HomesteadFresh when it's cold if you let the cord go it can fling back and break off the plastic handles to shut the gas off and the choke lever thats why I moved mine
Oh! Great info!!!
Crazy bug soundtrack. Was going to buy a woodland mills. Decided to build my own. Looks like a great product.
@@aaronymousunlimited2661 oh wow! That's awesome... I don't think I could pull that off.
Yes, the cicadas were insane that day - lol
Thanks for watching 😊
Don't assume your blade is tracking properly, even right out of the box
Yes, lesson learned! Thanks for watching 😊
We have thought about making our own mill come check us out when you get a chance.
So sorry, just saw your comment! We love this mill 😀
Really like your watering system!
Thanks for watching 🙂
