I live in an old sandstone house. My laptop is in the basement at the back of the house and my router is upstairs. I could only get a very weak WiFi signal in the basement and powerline has been the answer. I am not technically minded but I had my TP Link adapters out of the box and working in a matter of minutes. It is recommended not plugging these adapters into a power strip so the pass through versions are especially useful as you can then plug your power strip into the adapter. No software or complicated configuration is required - it is literally plug and play and the adapters “find” one another quickly. If you want to create a fully secure network you can press the encryption buttons. I have personally not bothered as no one else has access to my house electricity. I now have a reliable broadband connection for my laptop thanks to powerline.
No, only via cable but you can connect a wi-fi router if you want. Otherwise you need something like this: ruclips.net/video/XMJPtGj5PEw/видео.html This kit also has built-in wi-fi .
Cheers and thanks alot for the reply, and do you know by any cans if its good for a 3 story building as i live in ground floor apartment and wanted to make a connection on the roof
It looks like exactly what I need. Unfortunately my electrical socket is behind my TV which is attached to the wall and for some reason the plug on this sticks out way too far. I understand that attaching it to an extension kills the performance orn even renders it unusable.
I bought this to use for IPTV, to take the internet over to my MAG box at my TV and the connection keeps dropping every 10 minutes but the internet from the router does not drop... does anyone know if there are issues using these things for IPTV?
I have used them for 6 years still going strong the BT ones I had died with in 2 years well worth the money
i honestly think this is the greatest invention..lol i was about to buy 100ft of Ethernet cable but then i found this video
yeah. but there is no saying that it will work 100%, sometimes it wont

No, a me funzionano anche senza premere pair.
I did it the exact same way you did and it isn't working.
Mark Lamberta it might be a problem in the electricity system of your house
The two outlets have to be on the same circuit.
The bigger the house, the less likely that 2 outlets are so configured
Thanks this help a lot
Thanks to you for watching 😉
Legit not pairing anymore 😔
Können es auch Handy empfangen?
