Your video helped me decide to get this ladder. So far, I love it as it replaces a 28” fiberglass extension ladder that weighed almost 100 lbs. coolest part is my new gorilla (23 ft 375 rating) comes with wheels on it. Not sure I’ll ever use the wheels but they’re there if I need them.
I have the older Gorilla AL-13 and AL-22 that combined cost less that 1 Little Giant. They are both about 15 years old now. I mainly use the AL-22 as most of the things I need to work with around the house are high up in the air. Besides, there are numerous comments and owner photos of Little Giant failures, like broken welds, etc. The Gorillas I have are just like new after 15+ years of use. The only maintenance I have done on them is lubricate the hinge components once a year. I've used various lubricants, but basically a light oil before I put them up for the winter. These old Gorilla's are wonderful, very strong and sturdy. I am afraid of heights but have no fear of falling from these ladders. I only use them in the A-frame position, not the fully extended 22' extension ladder position. I have a 24' and a 32' extension ladder for really high places. I get a little wobbly in the knees on those. Yesterday I ordered the MPXW-26 which was on sale for $289 @ Home Depot. I have 2 light fixtures that are next to impossible to reach with the AL-22, so this will solve that problem.
That’s my only regret, not buying one longer ladder! That said, I’ve been using the two I have to build my house in the Adirondacks the last few months and they’ve been great 👍
Great Gorilla Ladder real life demo video! Loved the quote at the end from Paul J Meyer, Success Motivation from the 70s? Right? What a great program! 😎😎
I got the Gorilla 23 inch with project top and wheels. For additional safety, I also installed the Levelok Quick Connect Ladder Leveler Kit. It's a very sturdy ladder that should last for years.
Good for you! I really hope it does. I've been using the gorilla for almost 2 years now and I have no regrets other than wishing I got the 24' instead of the 22'
Wow! 22' with the 375 lb rating for $99 is insane. I'm looking at websites for BF deals now where people are jumping all over the 18' 300 lb rating for $99. Maybe I will wait a little longer and see if some better deals come along. Probably not the best year to try and find super deals like this though. Great honest review without that corrupt "sponsored" word.
I have a similar ladder and it’s just a must have. I have a contractor grade one and still weighs a ton, despite the fact that it’s made of aluminium. Be safe and stay healthy.
Great video!! I was debating between the two and the new leveler feature sold me in the little giant. When your on uneven ground you just step on the tab on the one side and it with ratchet into a spot to make the ladder level. All 4 corners have it. It will extend up to 7" to accommodate for sloping terrain. Makes it nice when your using it as an extension ladder and for example cleaning gutters. Also it's designed and assembled in the USA vs all China built. Great ladder though. I might pick up a smaller gorilla if I ever catch a sell. I bought the 22' little giant.
That leveler sounds great! We like to buy made in the USA as well but when I researched Little Giant ladders only certain models were actually made in the USA. Not sure about assembly though👍
I have had my Little Giant 17' Ladder for over 20 years, never had a problem with welds breaking or anything else. I use mine all the time around the house, both in and outdoors. There are two things that the video did not mention about the Little Giant. 1. There is a platform available (which I have) that makes it more comfortable than having to stand on a rung. 2. The Little Giant legs can be slid apart which gives you 4 legs and it can be used as a scaffold, and it only requires 1 ladder.
Good review, the Gorilla MPX22 is now $224, I'm also looking at the WERNER MTIAA-22 for only $156 (multi-position & same IAA rating). the Little Giant 22 is $239 and IA rated.
Have to say that when I was searching for ladders, the Gorilla didn't come up. I ended up buying a Little Giant ladder. Used it this week for the first time, though it is rather heavy, it's very versatile and sturdy! Unfortunately whenever you buy anything, you always think you should have bought something else! Hindsight is amazing but I'm still very happy with my purchase!
@@CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid. As I said, very happy with my purchase but wish we paid the same prices as in the US, in the UK my leveler ladder cost me £400! Some of them are over £1K!!!
@@CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid I know, I buy a lot of Husqvarna equipment and even though it only has to come across Europe, we sometimes pay twice the price! 😱
The selling point for me was that the little tractor has a ground leveling feature. My ground is uneven, and I constantly have to counter my weight on my regular extension ladder when im cleaning the gutters.
I have this ladder. The extra 1/2" width on the steps allowed me to use my older 8' - 13.5' finger jointed extension plank that was a little too wide for the Little Giant. No brainer for me.
So I have a Little Giant M22 Xtreme which is by far the best ladder ever made. I used to work at Home Depot who primarily sells Gorilla ladders. Key differences: -Gorilla uses plastic ribbed feet which are prone to slipping. Little giant uses all silicone rubber feet. -Rungs are secured with pop rivets vs welds on the little giant making them prone to loosening over time because they will. Little giant uses ratcheting leg levelers for uneven ground. Plus the air deck work station is included as well as their fuel tank paint tray and trestle brackets. Now some little giants are still made in the USA at the Utah plant. Some did go to China for cost purposes but all are tested, engineered, and shipped from the warehouse in Utah. Now the price is the biggest point. The M22 sells for $565 but it is absolutely worth the price tag. Plus LIFETIME WARRANTY.
@@Drew-fz8by that is the normal M22 Little Giant. Probably one of the velocity models. I have the M22 Xtreme model which is the top of the line ladder that they make. And yes the price is $565. The gorilla ladder is much cheaper by comparison but it is not made as well as the little giant.

Funny how these things pop up when you are searching for stuff on Google. But just the same, great video. Never tried the little giant but we are very happy with the gorilla!
Little giant has a lot of accessories vs the Gorilla
And we’ve used some of them with the gorilla and the worked just fine👍 the window span one worked great.

It’s so big that it can easily fit in your Honda Accord.
This ladder is now priced around 400$ at Home Depot. Ffs
That’s crazy!
Now there twice that price!. Ridiculous!
Wow!
It`s a good ladder but its actually 18 not a true 22. It tells you on the side of the ladder.
Yeah... It seems all the manufacturers of those multi position ladders name the ladders based on what is reachable instead of the actual ladder length.
