Slaughterhouse's failure is proof that lyrical Hip-Hop is a underappreciated by this generation...who don't have the mental capacity to absorb anything that isn't dumbed down.
I been saying that for years, bro! They are so technical in their words AND delivery its unreal! They're all slept on individually as well. Budden got a litl more hype after they split, imo, but I think its becus he caused the disruption to the group. Em has an interview saying they was thinking about doing something without Budden. I ain't heard shit else but I hope thats fax! C'mon with it!!
I don't think so. I think it's proof that too many chefs in the kitchen usually makes for some garbage. They didn't play to the strengths of the group on that album, and the business wasn't optimal for all the individuals in the group. Budden was always better off as a solo act, because his style doesn't match the rest of the group. I said from the beginning, if Shady was smart, they would've put out a Budden solo album right after Bad Meets Evil. After Joe, Joell and Crooked I should've come out at the same time. They would've benefited from being from different coasts but both being extremely lyrical. After all of that is when they should've turned around and come together like the Avengers, and just kept the focus on being as lyrical as possible. Music is like any other entertainment medium. You have to be invested in the characters to care about the stories they are telling. And when most of the group is unknown to the public, you just can't do that sharing verses the way a group has to.
@@KingstonHawke - Too many chefs spoil the soup, but outside of Wu, collectives haven't really worked in Hip-Hop ..at least from a longevity standpoint. I agree though, the business model wasn't particularly well thought out. It's a shame, because they should have at least been as big as D-12.
@@CoolHandLukeDuke Yeah, and SH had a lot working against them. I can't think of a collective that worked at all that wasn't at least based in the same city. Wu, D12, Tribe, Bone... has their ever been a group that really worked where one rapper was living on a whole different coast than the rest? I know it's unrealistic. But I wish they just all agreed to live in the same house with a studio in it for 90 days. Then again, that's a good way to end up ruining your relationships at home and to aggravate the two drug addicts in the group.

I guess I just tend to see people pause at the worst times and it causes them to miss stuff. I think he's easily catching it with no pause. However, with so many bars going on there has to be pauses somewhere. It is what it is.
@@CrazyCubsfan11 yeah that happens a lot. It’s a pain when you catch it and it’s a Genius Bar but the reactor doesn’t and you want them to acknowledge what you just heard 😂😂

@@sdcrocks I personally think its first time playthrough. I thought about it too for a while but LayedBack is a real one. He really gets excited when he calls out bars that he was thinking about while listening to the freestyle/song.
I love it when it hit 1:20 when Yela Wolf started timing his rap for the beat to kick in and Layed Bak was like "hold up, i think he bout hit it" that was fire for me 😂🔥
All of them killed it, and trying to rate them right now is making my nose bleed. Crooked I, Joe, Em, Yelawolf, Royce, Joel. "Skinny jeans don't mean your ass shoots, it means your booty claps." Best line of the track!!!
Keep the Yelawolf reactions coming they’re 🔥🔥🔥. Also, you should start reacting to Royce da 5’9”, some good songs to check out would be Cocaine, Tabernacle, Caterpillar feat Eminem, Dumb feat Boogie, Boblo Boat feat J Cole, etc. 🔥🔥🔥
At I've been trying to talk about this for minute n a half. Joe took this one. Probably the only time I'll say that although his verse on Goodbye is the best I've ever heard him. Second is hard, but I think Royce takes it. That Wal Mart line was crazy. Humor at the start. I think I gotta give it to Crook next because of two parts. The beginning was fire and then that ether skills line was nuts. 4th is going to Em. Just didn't crush it like he could've. It was good but this was a song showcasing his label talent after all. Yela comes in after. Sick way to start it off. Kinda not up to par with the rest but he knew that. Started freeing at the end last 2 bars. Ortiz in last. Doesn't happen often but yeah. Not bad and still sick. Just last. One thing I'll say. I hate that there's two Will Smith refrences in this shit involving his fam. Hope you enjoyed.
Good memories I was 21 then. working at a car wash doing tints. Had no papers at the time. Haitian dude worked at the car wash gave me the magazine. I still got it. Men time flies.
@@samuelyermakov3100 Dance with the devil is probably the greatest storytelling song ever written, Leaving the Past is also one of my fav Immortal songs
I agree those that go against most likely haven’t heard his discography, and most likely say Royce is better than crook because he be rapping along side em a lot so they always place him as the same caliber as Eminem
Sticky Fingaz from Onyx also mentions a kid named Billy in his verses. Makes me wonder if they're talking about the same Billy and if they were on that roof together. But, most rappers aren't rapping about themselves. Many times the stories they tell are the stories of others through their eyes and ears.
Bro, Crypt said he's trying to get a hold of you. I just watched his last video and he said he added you on Twitter to msg you but you never added him back. Hit em up! BTW, fire reaction as always!
been a hot minute since I've watched a video of yours. but I've had this Cypher in my head for a bit and , well here I am watching your reaction to this Cypher.
Em, Joe, And then tie between Joell, Crooked, Royce, and Yela. But listen, the line between them is almost nonexistent in this cypher, they all absolutely murked this!
I feel like yal rate crooked too high. He started off strong and died off even end with that weak Will Smith line. Yela, Em, and Joe were consistent throughout
Man i never found your react to pop the trunk by yelawolf if you've ever done it. That was some badass shit forreal. Keep up the good music and reactions man
Eminem had the nastiest bars with the dead baby smothered in chloroform like yikes then he went on and his rhymes and how everything tied together as crazy, then came crooked I because his flow and how he switched it up like damn!
PLEASE do the Crypt-RUclips Cypher Vol 1!!! It’s lyrical decadence PROMISE the best up and coming artists making XXL cyphers look like amateur hour foreal!!
1. Crooked I 2. Em 3. Joe 4. YellaWolf 5. Royce 6. Joel Honestly Joel's verse was funny and clever as hell but i ain't got no choice. And Royce's verse was also great but there is no option guys, sorry.
Track is fire and each rapper brought something different to the song like for example em showed his sense of humor in it and still had some sick bars. Em Crooked I Yelawolf Royce Joe Ortiz

Welcome to Detroit
This is the BET, Shady 2.0 Cypher 2011
Myself, Slaughterhouse, and Yelawolf
White Dawg, get 'em!
(Thank you, cracker king!)
[Verse 1: Yelawolf]
Put these mothafuckas in a box, then I send 'em away
Put 'em in a gray 'llac and pop the trunk
And throw 'em in the back, jack; ha, dig 'em a grave
Put a brick inside that Xerox when I print up a page
Movin' keys I can relate, 'cause I live in the cage
I throw up the A, I take 'em to school, I give 'em a grade
An easy E for effort; that's WWA
White with an attitude, alphabet soup is on my plate
All I got is Z's, they sleepin' on me, I can't get 'em awake
I spoon-feed 'em a sound in a room full of deceivers and clowns
Who believe in makin' it rain 'cause all they see is the clouds
And I watch from the couch of the VIP like a potato
With a bunch of meatheads like, "Fuck it, I'll just feed 'em a cow."
Plenty of white boys to pick from this year
But before you pick a pepper, you better pick up your heater
'Cause even Peter Piper could pick up a mic
But what it's like to pick a fight with me
Is like puttin' Nikes on a cheetah
Better speed up, or at least in my case Adidas
I'm out this bitch, drinkin' Sprite by the two-liter
Holler! Shady Records…
[Verse 2: Joe Budden]
Say I'm from the new school
I'ma say, "Check your tone and watch your mouth!"
If they teachin' how to Dougie, I'm condonin' droppin' out
Forced to wild, y'all birthed me, then gave me up
I just perfected being hip-hop's foster child; now check it
Don't blame y'all for being trash, fans are coppin' it
The radio's the crime scene, the masses are the hostages
In my youth I'd throw shots, the fad was dodgin' it
I'm grown, I ain't watchin' the throne, I'm sabotagin' it
You see that four-headed monster in the storm looms?
Snipe 'em from a distance; the scope got a long zoom
You Super Mario thugs is in the wrong room
Gotta figure here you won't get bigger if you on shrooms
If it was left to me, I'd revive what the game be 'bout
I'd have took the wine outta Amy house
Enough raps from you scrub cats 'bout cockin' a snub back
Wayne couldn't teach me how to love that
But I got this chick from uptown, she my summer bunny
Both parents broke, but she come from money
Think my bread is her paper to burn
So I lock her out, and now she doubt David is Stern
She so bad, I make her hit the telly from a taxi
Then dead her in the Holiday Inn, learned that from Max B
That's why the haters envy, kinda wanna send me llamas
I made it right before their eyes, like I was Benihana's
Is it me, or is what I'm hearing just pitiful?
Airwaves the same, now the stereo's typical
My skin's thick, so the critics ignored
So unafraid to die you'd think I did it before
The boy's Rodman with the trash talk
Magic or Walt with the black ball
Way I bounce off the asphalt with cat paws, glass jaw
Hood of your mask will be the Blackfoot with no passport
Body be found in a mansion in one of my trapdoors
If punks had award, you status whores categore
Probably be that of awards
Between Michael Rapaport and Kenny Lattimore
I know hip-hop's alive and well
If it died, you other crews wouldn't survive the smell
[Verse 3: Crooked I]
I spot a victim, the plot'll thicken when the clock is tickin'
I caught him slippin', I gotta give him a shot, I hit him
With proper spittin', hottest writtens and compositions
So competition's a contradiction
Somebody mention they got a Crooked, highly fiction
We probly different, got Gotti henchmen
Opposition, I'll body quick as Bugatti engines
I'm on a mission to get richer, the sickest lyric-kicker
Diggin' a ditch for different spitters
Weak lyricists get disfigured
Sip liquor, spit like a sick mixture
Of Notorious, Pun and L; get the big picture?
The poster, I'll roast ya
My mind so deadly it's just like the beanie is close to a holster
It's over, control my whole coastal region
Like I'm supposed to, flow is goin' postal even
Open season, heart close to freezin'
Ruthless as Eazy, nigga, approach, I'm squeezin'
Believe me, dopest West-Coaster breathin'
So most y'all hope I'm vegan; nope, I'm beefin'
Rappers need to keep it trill, give me a beat to kill
Too many people still eatin' sleeping pills
People sleepin' on my ether skills
And y'all ain't even real, you 'bout to die in this cypher
Before you die you should do the Jada and leave a will, for real
[Verse 4: Joell Ortiz]
I ain't a rap dude, I'm a dude who rap
Before this I was movin' crack
Killers y'all become when y'all rhyme, I salute and dap
And if I blink, they'll remove your snaps
You ain't cool, you wack, with your foolish act
Skinny jeans don't mean your ass shoot
It means your booty claps
Don't play like Tyler Perry
This the Slaughterhouse of pain, flow brown, tight and heavy
When it come to 16's, I'm a fiend
Seen in the studio near a needle with a mean lean
Probably writin' bars to Nas' "Thief's Theme"
Gettin' my Yaowa on
Man, all these Olajuwons, we the dream team
This is an all day slaughter
They fiendin' for us to break, like Beyonce's water
The four quarters doin' all the eatin'
And y'all gotta know why I made the cut, I'm Puerto Rican
Ortiz keep the fire ready; and tryin' to put me out
Is like tryin' to steal a transvestite from Eddie
[Verse 5: Royce Da 5'9"]
I'm do-or-die dope, and you can make the sticker sittin' on the door of that Phantom your suicide note
Hi, Rihanna! Is Nicki livin' with you?
Let me know so I can buy binoculars and telescopes
Hi, Rihanna! I don't need to know you better
You tell me you love my music again, we go together
Bye, Rihanna! Now back to y'all fools
We rock out, like the outside of a guitar school
Thousand dollar frames I prefer to see the world through
Don't ask me nothin' about Budden, I beat my girl too
You ask me why do I keep her, I say it's cheaper to
That's why I ride around in a Rolls, like Wiz Khalifa do
Rappers, I'm your daddy, I tell you straight as this
You don't kill, but your father will, like Jaden Smith
I tell you like I tell my Spanish chick
You fly, but I ain't going down on no landin' strip
So get your wax on, like Daniel San, or I'ma have to run
Like De la Hoya in drag when cameras come
Point out the greatest rapper alive, I'll headshot him
Smack his girl on the butt and buy her some red bottom
Bring every deceased rapper back to see his wife
While I'm cyber-sexin' with Jessica Alba via Skype
I’m on my D-boy, Deebo thing
Spiritual steelo swing, like Cee-Lo Green
Get out the camera with your B-Roll bling
You know your flow is wack
We cornered the market, like a Wal-Mart in a cul-de-sac
Yeah, this is what two million singles sold
And an album that's gold
Look like without having to sell your soul
Nickel!
[Verse 6: Eminem]
Ayo, lyrical miracle, spiritual individual, criminal
Subliminal in your swimming pool… (Boooooo!)
You're 'bout to see peace destroyed, it'll never be restored
When I unleash these beastly hordes on your CD stores
Wanna stop it? You gon' need a priest, at least three swords
A license to ill from the Beastie Boys
Three Ouija boards, and a squeegee, and please be warned
Don't ask what the squeegee's for
Or the holy water, acid raps that'll eat these floors
Eat a hole in a rhyme book, you see these horns?
And as for me, you ask when I'm gone, will he be mourned?
Is puke lukewarm? Should Casey Anthony do porn?
Can that chick fit a newborn dead baby inside a frickin' shoebox with a shoehorn
Smothered in chloroform, so she can go get her groove on?
Can she duct-tape and Velcro a fetus?
Joell, yo, tell Joe I need his
Empty box from his old shell-toed Adidas
So I can put these babies in a fetal position
They're gettin' elbows to the penis
Yeah, big deal, I took some little kid's Big Wheel
And spit in his frickin' big kids meal
Quit tryna bite me and pinch, you wench, sit still!
Did you just put your six-inch heel
Through my Benz windshield?!
Is it dust we 'bout to kick up?
Can Yelawolf fit a fifth of rum in a big cup
Between his stick shift in his frigging pickup
And drink like a hick redneck hillbilly will 'til he gets hicc-ups?
Flippin' the script up, like Mike Vick
Gettin' bit in his junk by a Pit, yup, I'm a sick pup
I'd be a horrible magician, 'cause I'd fuck a trick up
Fix your lips up to say somethin' fly, or zip up!
Ayy, B, let's see: you said you were gonna do X-Y-Z
'Til you fuck around and get dropped
Like an E when you add an I-N-G
Don't put a K in front of that, though, when I MC
'Cause I'm not the king of this microphone booth
It's more like a phone booth
Superman in this bitch, Kryptonite won't do
It gives me more power
I bump the Fat Boys and eat rat poison, take meteor showers
Fresh outta the mental hospital
And me not flossin' a middle finger while I hop in a mosh pit
Will be like Nas doin' gospel or R&B-you crazy?
Me pushin' up daisies, that thought is impossible
As if flashin' across the news
Posdnuos was caught with a prostitute
With a huge johnson, boobs and a monstrous tube
Of lube, and a bra, some boots
Some panties, and an aqua blue Mazda
Swallowin' a popsicle, playin' tonsil pool

He makes to many triples and quadruples sometimes you brain doesn’t click to it until like a verse later 😂
@@calob3927 I know my comment wasn't meant to be a criticism, It was more of a "of course he happens to pause it there" and that caused him to miss it.
We all heard it,nobody cared, it wasn't that cold
Bro you should really rewind a few seconds when you pause. You miss so many bars when you do that. Just sayin
You know he probably cleaned this shit editing
@@sdcrocks na you can tell he don't
@@Riley_187 You dont understand what I'm saying genius, I mean that just because he doesn't have all the bars in the video doesn't mean he didnt watch it in its entirety without stopping and starting.
I was thinking the same shit xD my OCD was like (no go back!)
@@sdcrocks I personally think its first time playthrough. I thought about it too for a while but LayedBack is a real one. He really gets excited when he calls out bars that he was thinking about while listening to the freestyle/song.
Em uniquely is great at being "random" but even his random lines make sense to the original idea.
I love it when it hit 1:20 when Yela Wolf started timing his rap for the beat to kick in and Layed Bak was like "hold up, i think he bout hit it" that was fire for me 😂🔥
Say what you want about Budden as a person, but his verse on this is phenomenal
Yeah Budden throws out big boy bars
Big Sean ft Eminem - No Favors EMINEMS VERSE IS HARDDDD 🔥
His first???????????
@@Cranklin1234 Thank you lol. I changed it
Without any Big Sean yes
Nope
TREVÖR GRAVES shut up lol
Respect for pointing it out. Sometimes we all forget how nice Joe is.
Man I miss that old school hip hop style, sounds so raw and hard. They need to bring this shit back.
yelawolf has one of the best flows and delivery around.
DrJay24Gaming He’s done Cocaine and Caterpillar.
‘I’d be a horrible magician, because I’d f*** a trick up’ -Em
YelaWolf’s flow is insane !!!
Yellow wolf and Eminem are the best of combination of rappers
Yelawolf.... facts bruh pls
Ricky Wagner better than Royce?
Ricky Wagner pls edit this comment to spell his name correctly

2.Crocked I
3.Yella
4.Joe
5.Royce
The whole thing was 🔥 though.
You forget Joel, cause he was so trash lol
I put Joe 2nd

1) Joe/Em
2) Royce
3) Crooked I
4) Yela
5) Joell Ortiz

@@kodigoodman6417 lol I can sense a bias on this content. As much as I hate Joe, his verse was really good.

6. Joe Budden
Haidon Hargraves take joe budden off
Bump budden up to 1st or 2nd and you would've pretty much nailed it. The question was who had the best verse, not who do you like the most.
crooked i number one in the world,he is flow monster
I wish everybody can get along this was a dream team of rap
I fell in love with Crooked I (KXNG Crooked) after hearing this cypher.
I’m mad as f that y’all just discovering this
This cypher is sick!! One of the best! Wish you would’ve reacted to the video version! Good reaction though bro!

They were legit all fire its really hard to pick whos #1
imo this is Em’s best verse of all time, the “elbows to the penis” line is a 8 way entendre that broke my brain when I figured it out
Good memories I was 21 then. working at a car wash doing tints. Had no papers at the time. Haitian dude worked at the car wash gave me the magazine. I still got it. Men time flies.

@@greencape2881 Exactly
I agree those that go against most likely haven’t heard his discography, and most likely say Royce is better than crook because he be rapping along side em a lot so they always place him as the same caliber as Eminem

Dude this song brings back school memories lol
Lmao that’s one way to put it
Sticky Fingaz from Onyx also mentions a kid named Billy in his verses. Makes me wonder if they're talking about the same Billy and if they were on that roof together. But, most rappers aren't rapping about themselves. Many times the stories they tell are the stories of others through their eyes and ears.
Ya'll are fucked up, no cap
U always making my day my man... 🔥🔥♥️♥️♥️
I stopped trying to rank slaughter house a long time ago. It's just not possible for me to put any of them last.
Isaiah Williams Joell has always been the weakest link to me
Agreed 💯 but for me is crook I Royce then Joe and Joell last and this is like by I prefer crooks voice most
Even thou Joel a monster he is indeed the weakest.
Damn you should’ve seen the video! They look crazy spicy those verses while they stand so calm.

Naw it works, especially in a cypher verse where ur lyrics are so sick... it's like saying this is easy for me
It's just one of the rapping styles. You might not like it, but it exists.

I listened to that song every single day when I was at my lowest point.
Em, Joe, And then tie between Joell, Crooked, Royce, and Yela. But listen, the line between them is almost nonexistent in this cypher, they all absolutely murked this!
Yela 1, Crooked 2, Em 3, Joe 4, and Royce 5. They all freaking killed it though, too bad Slaughter House fell out. Sick cypher though.
I think crook 1, em 2, yella 3, Royce 4, Joe 5.
