I forgot the fox marketing of the early 2000s. When the execs in charge lose faith in a show, they start to tinker based off of current market trends. Could you imagine if HBO decided that Tony Soprano needed to do a different deal each week and the show ended with him doing the right thing and turn everyone in, including himself?
